Knoodle Junction has become pretty popular with uni students over the years, and there’s no question as to why. The food is cheap, quick and tastes great — no gimmicks, that’s all. Perhaps the most popular option for students is the three-choice lunch menu. You can pick up to three different kinds of meat/vegetable selections, along with rice or noodles. Though I tend not to go for this kind of thing with other vendors, Knoodle Junction hits the nail on the head with all of their selections. They also have a wide range of a la carte dishes, including Chinese, Singaporean and Malaysian dishes. Their laksa noodle soup is delicious, give it a try. Plus, if you’re a student you get a discount upon showing your card. For this reason, I’m a little crushed that I just graduated!

I was actually suprised how much I enjoyed my food from Knoodle Junction. What drew me in was the fact that it was pretty packed, and the prices were pretty cheap. It seams to be the hang out for uni students and workers alike. I ordered chilli beef, and the serving was pretty big, the food was full of flavour(and packed in a fair punch of heat from the chillis!). I’d definitely happily recommend them to anyone after a cheap tasty meal

Knoodle is awesome for those on the run or stopping for a lunch break amidst uni or work. Full time students get a discount(score!) and the service is friendly and efficient. It is situated on Pulteney St, and is on the way up to the mall if you’re walking from Adelaide University. The place is nearly always packed, and you can sit indoors or outdoors. You can choose to have your sides with either steamed or fried rice, and pick which dishes you want. The vegetable dishes are relatively fresh, considering it’s somewhat classified as fast food. The beef curry, chicken and squid are among the other great-tasting dishes. Everything has a generous portion size. What I like most about the place is the street-facing counter where you can buy fried dimsums or spring rolls. It is just so convenient to divide the queues between people who want to order an actual meal and those who just want something on the go. In addition, it’s great value for money! Cheap, tasty, fills you up, what more could you want?

Knoodle Junction is where everyone goes for a good feed of Asian Cuisine next to the Adelaide University because they give full time students a discount and serve great food. They make everything on site and you can appreciate the taste of chillies and lemongrass in the various dishes — although there is not chillies in everything so if your palate is not one for hot food don’t despair there is plenty for all to select from. I particularly like to Beef dishes because you always get a decent serve on either steamed or fried rice, but there are things like Thai Chicken that are also very tasty. It is a heartening sight to see so many International Students lined up waiting to be served and the place is almost always pretty packed, so you just know it’s good. It doesn’t take much brain power to work out the quality of the food when you see the amount of people waiting; I’ve never waited so long I passed out from malnourishment either. This whole area on Pulteney Street is becoming a bit of a hub with the arcade right next door opening a range of international kitchen style vendors — so even if you don’t fancy what Knoodle have to offer it’s only a short walk to select something else for the more conservative palate. You can stop for crispy spring rolls over the counter in the street or come on inside for a larger more substantial meal. Not very expensive, and did I mention the full time student(with ID please) discount?!
