Being the sugar hoe I am I went searching for a place to put some sugar in my veins to make diabetes creep come ever closer. That was when I found this place. To be frank it is totally awesome, there is a great mix of European and Asian deserts to found that all taste delicious(though I would recommend the«Milk De Crunch» and the«Taro Bun»). Hell there are even savory foods in there though the desserts are the supreme ones, naturally. And the majority of the items are at good price. In short I recommend highly.

This place was a great find. I normally just assume bakeries will be relatively boring and overpriced, but had missed a tram and popped in here and got a real surprise. What you can get for $ 2 or $ 3 in this place is almost unbelievable. They do both sweet and savoury, and their Danish’s are to die for.

I have only recently been informed about this place and feel like I have been selfishly cheated by my friends for not telling me sooner. BreadTop is full of baked goodness that will definitely hit the spot. Whether savoury or sweet, this place has everything you could possibly be craving. The pork bun and custard filled treats are so delicious, I went back in to get some to take home to saviour the experience. It is self serve here, so grab a tray and tongs and get serving. I warn you, your eyes will be too big for your belly, but who cares. Bring leftovers home with you!

There’s a couple of Bread Top places in Melbourne, and this is pretty much the same as they are. I really, really want to try their barbecue pork buns. These are the things that I always hang out for at Yum Cha places, but every time I come in here, I do some mental maths about how long they’ve been sitting there, and ultimately I bitch out and just grab some chocolate stars instead. The people that work here are efficient, but not always very chatty.

The bakery of the god damn future! BreadTop is awesome! Let’s being with their loaves of bread. There are varieties I have not seen anywhere else, screw Baker’s Delight. I want Coconut bread, Purple sticky rice bread, red bean bread, Japanese white bread, or ham and cheese bread. Why waste your time with multi-grain or white. BORING. And this is only the bread. They make donuts and sweet buns also. I’m quite impartial to their Milky custard red bean bun and the milk de crunch. If you’re in need of a quick lunch, they have that covered to! Savoury buns with just about any filling you can imagine inhabit the shelves of this store. UGH! BREADTOP! I LOVEMESOMEGODDAMBREADTOP!!!
