Specialties

Pronounced «BUN-Mee» Vietnamese for ‘Bread’ A modern Vietnamese take away specialising in Bánh Mì, Rice Paper Rolls, Vermicelli and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Situated in the heart of the Adelaide CBD, opposite the City Cross in the newly developed Grenfell Plaza precinct under the ‘Black Stump’. That’s how we roll!

History

Established in 2009.

Bánh Mì — Vietnamese Rolls was opened in October 2009 with the aim of delivering the highest quality, freshest and most traditional Bánh Mì to the city of Adelaide. Our philosophy is simple: Great Vietnamese food, fresh produce, in a modern setting with great service.

Owner, Andy Vinh, is an Australian-born Vietnamese whose mother and father were one of the first refugees to flee a war-torn Vietnam in 1974 to start a new life in Australia. His family have since owned and run successful restaurants for over 30 years, passing much of their experience and knowledge to him. Combining his passion for Vietnamese food with his experience gained from a professional career in Physiotherapy, the concept of Bánh Mì was born. «My ultimate goal would be to introduce all Australians to Bánh Mì. It’s the perfect sandwich».
