Our current HQ is in Adelaide’s iconic Central Market (NE corner) — come in & see a truly unique bookshop!

Inspired by the pop-​up culture in London and Les Bouquinistes in Paris, Nick & Kate (formerly of Chapter Two Books) continue to tweak with this concept.

These book purveyors have an unmatched passion which sees them utilise every available space to showcase some of Adelaide’s best books.

Spurred on by the desire to make top-​notch books available to the people of Adelaide in an era of closing bookshops and digital libraries, Adelaide’s Pop-​up Bookshop has been found at boutique markets; within other businesses’ premises; a shopfront in the trendy James Place; in the middle of the beautiful Adelaide Arcade and twice in Rundle Mall.

Business Owner

Kate is a second-​generation bookseller, being the daughter of Adelaide’s most respected bookseller, Michael Treloar.

Together with partner Nick Patrick, Kate owned and managed Chapter Two Books in the Adelaide Hills for five years before concentrating on the CBD.

Both Kate and Nick have unequalled passion for their home city and for the bookselling trade and are currently enjoying their third stint as residents of the CBD.
