History

Established in 1999.

I returned to photography as a career after a spinal injury in 1997 stopped my stone work (paths, walls), i was unable to continue heavy lifting work, so my photography which was part time at this stage became my full time focus. I was lucky I had another career on the side as alot of people in that position are at a lost as to what to do with their lives.

My 1^st business (after surgery, rehab) was called Seadog Photography (my nickname Seadog), mostly black & white portraits, landscapes & aviation work. I changed to Adam Lee Photos in 2001.

Most of my work is publishing for books with over 1580 images in print across 14 books, over 60,000 books sold. I also shoot commercial work such as the national sailing championships ²⁰¹³⁄₁₄ «NS14 45^th Championships» on flikr (1^st 5 pages), farming field days, aviation, government, farming & industrial.

I am now working to take my publishing work overseas & looking for more publishing opportunities in the US/​Canada, UK/​Europe.

My photography career started in the Pictorial Department, Editorial Floor News Limited, Adelaide South Australia «The News» in 1985. This was old school, bromides, zinc plates, hot metal great fun and so good to experience the old ways and see the transition to computerized newspapers. I dealt with every image to be printed working with the sub editors on layout, images from overseas, art work.
