Can’t say too much about this establishment sadly as we sat down ordered drinks and checked the menu I decided on the one thing I could eat — vegetable soup. Turned out they didn’t have it and no vegetarian alternative other than hot chips. We ended up leaving disappointed :(

As far as airport dining goes, this place offers you a basic café style menu and ample seat for yourself and your luggage. If on a budget, fast food at Hungry Jacks is your friend but not in the mood for something greasy and heavy before a flight. I choose Café Terra Rosa to have a light meal before my flight to Brissy. Scanning the menu, it was pricey which is typical of airports but I had the soup of the day which was both filling and budget friendly without being too heavy. And a glass of wine because it was Friday :) My gate was right in front of the café so this allowed me to chill out before embarking on my flight, so it was convenient. Unfortunately the food wasn’t crash hot — my creamy chicken and vegetable soup tasted very artificial, chicken pieces was tiny and shriveled up, I suspect something similar to the tinned variety. But sigh — it is the airport, and in terms of convenience it was fine enough for me.

I know airport cafes usually aren’t much to write home about, but this one was particularly unenjoyable. Cold toast(the butter didn’t melt at all), hard-boiled ‘poached’ eggs and not very friendly service means I’ll eat before I arrive next time.

Horrible to say, but probably the worst of the options in the Airport. Terra Rosa looks modern and is always busy, but is UNBELIEVABLY expensive for anything(sandwiches up to $ 10) and the staff have never gotten it right when I’ve gone up there and the line for something simple has always taken ages. This place is definitely only in it for the money. The only thing that is good about Terra Rosa is that they’re the only ones to offer any kind of fruit as an option.

Café Terra Rosa is always my last preference when it comes to grabbing a quick meal before flying out of Adelaide. The choices at the airport are limited, but if you don’t want to feel ill on the plane(especially those long international flights), I’d avoid places like Café Terra Rosa. Aside from being overpriced, something that’s unavoidable at the airport, the food is either bland or far too oily. Eating the breakfast with the works might seem appealing at first, but it might prove otherwise later during your flight. The sausages and bacon taste like they’ve been kept in a display cabinet for days on end. The sandwiches and salad items are a better alternative to a fatty meal, but they lack in creativity. And the coffee? Don’t bother. After giving this place numerous tries, I’ve learnt my lesson that there are better options around the corner.

They know if you don’t feel like going to the bar, having a donut or eating noodles they got cha. Airport prices. There are healthy and yummy muesli and yogurt cups($ 6.5) fruit salads and sandwiches to go. They do a nice frittata with green salad for $ 10. And there are also less quick items made to order. Or if you want a lump in your stomach for your flight, try a: macadamia slice($ 5) or chocolate brownie($ 5). It’s the best layout for casual dining in the airport, especially if your flight is to the right as you walk in(gates 20 — 51). If your gate is to the left, Hudson’s coffee also does sandwiches. The pre-made sandwiches between the two are much of muchness really.
