First time in Argentina and loving all the reviews of this place I decided to try it out. The menu was extensive. They also speak English. I sat at the bar as I was alone but this was also common with guests who doesn’t have a reservation. Servings was quite a decent size. I ordered fried calamari. It was nice and crunchy and really tasty. I asked the waiter for some lemon wedges which was great they had that. They also have tapas style food which you can order if you’re going with a large group. And they’re very generous with their wine pouring. Right to the rim! It gets really busy with a mix of tourists and locals alike. I would suggest making a reservation to save waiting or missing out altogether. The staff was super friendly, the ambience was lively and the food smelt amazing. I wasn’t able to try all the food but I would definitely go back here as the whole experience was amazing.

We went here based on the Unilocal reviews and we’re not disappointed. They could not provide an English menu. So, the wait or sent over the hostess to translate. The food was fantastic.

One of my favorite restaurants in BA. Amazing seafood, good ambiance. Shrimp salad is a treat

Great hole in the wall place. Good wine selection and highly recommend the garlic butter shrimp. The Malbec Angelica Zapata is a good argentine option here.

Spanish restaurant, better than in Spain! We’ve been having lunch in Tancat and I have to say that it was wonderful! We introduced the feast with some tapas and a great Malbec wine. Then, I had a tasty hake fillet, my parents ate a black seafood risotto and fried lobster, both deliciously prepared. My friend ate grilled, filled mushrooms with potatoes and was also very happy with it. For desert we had crema catalana and a pretty good espresso. The best food I had in 5 days in Buenos Aires, definitely worth a stop!

First off, atmosphere is neat. The warm colors, low ceilings, and interesting décor give the place a lot of character. My food was quick and hot, but only okay. The seafood was overseasoned. The patatas were tasty but greasy. Otherwise, they provide a menu in English and the staff spoke some English as well.

Great place for seafood. We had to go there twice during our short stay in BA since the food was really awesome. They offer a fixed menu and a large daily menu with many options around 100AR$(approximately 8 to 12USD in Sept. 2014). I can recommend the baby squid with potatoes. Desserts were nice as well. Mussels and bread were served as starters. The waiters very all very friendly and did speak some english. If you go there before 9pm you should be able to find a table, afterwards you can sit at the bar, which is also ok. Note that they charge you 8AR$ for service.

I really wanted to like this place. It is a nice little hole in the wall type restaurant and wine bar that seems like it would be amazing. The décor is very nice and has a very comfortable atmosphere. For being such a small place it is very packed with people. The calimari I ordered however was burnt and the potatoes were very bland. I don know it it was just an off night or not. The rest of the food here looks and smells great. I think I would give this place another try because it seems that my experience may be skewed. But for now I have to only give 2 stars.

Ask for a menu in English, they’re available. I was referred here by the locals and it sure didn’t disappoint. Excellent small dishes big enough to share and nice wines all at a very reasonable price. Interesting that even though the space is small and the tables are close together, you don’t get the noisey and hectic atmosphere that one would expect. I would highly recommend this place. Also make sure to get the tortilla espanola(one order is enough to share) and the natillas for desert. They also carry an excellent red wine, Ruca Malen, a Malbec for Arg $ 162. A great deal.
