We tried this place about 4 months ago when we moved to town. It has become our go to place, we eat there every Friday night. They have live music on Friday and Saturday night, which is outstanding. The service is usually very slow, so know that going in, but after a long week of work, the iced tea and live music keep us content so we don’t mind waiting for our food. They recently changed their format to a home cooked country type menu, but still with a few Cuban items on the menu. The portions are huge, we usually get two meals out of one, the mashed potatoes are real, and not much on the menu over 10 bucks. Probably the best country fried steak I’ve ever had, chicken tenders are great and good meatloaf too. Also the breakfast is good, we usually stop by once a week or so. So overall a good bet.

Really wanted to like this place and had one great experience, but the last 3 times I’ve been here the food has been sub-par and they are consistently short of help. Ordered a stuffed potato, which the waitress forgot about, and when it finally came out after we had finished, it was cold in the middle. Last time I came in the waitress was non-existent and when I mentioned it to the owner, he said to bare with them she was new ! Obviously he doesn’t know what makes a good restaurant. Consistency of good food and service combined. You would think they would try a little bit harder to retain the customers they have with so many restaurants that open and close in Zephyrhills due to this same problem…

Came in today to have lunch with my wife. She had the fish tacos and I had the steak. My iced tea tasted very good. We both enjoyed our meals! It did take a little time for the food to come out; however it was worth the wait. The next time I come in I am going to have extra onions and tomatoes on my steak. Waitress was very friendly too!

We ate hear one time not impressed, the hot food was still frozen inside, not just cold it was solid frozen inside, food tasted like had sat in the fridge for months, bread was soggy on the cuban, the server did her best considering she was the only one there serving and had a total of about 8 people at three different tables all of which we complaining about their gross food so I’m sorry but we haven’t made any plans to return to here any time soon

Very unimpressive. The food was so-so. The atmosphere was completely nonexistent. Had absolutely NO feel of a Cuban restaurant. The Cuban food in Tennessee is 10x better. The service was insanely slow. Our waitress literally walked away in the middle of us asking a question about the drinks to tend the cash register. I love Cuban food but I will be certain to try one of the others in the area before I go back to this one. If this ends up being the only one left in Zephyrhills, I’ll just drive to Tampa.

Sadly unimpressed. Food was just average, bread tasted old. The waitress was friendly and tried to be helpful but the service was so slow. The restaurant only had a handful of people so we assumed that the service would of been quicker but we waited 45 minutes for our food, the wait wasn’t because the food had to be freshly prepared because it wasn’t. If you are in a hurry for a quick lunch, don’t go there.

The Cuban coffee and bread were great. Side salad was impressive for being a side salad, included Swiss cheese and ham. I should have just left my meal to the salad and bread. Husband got the breaded steak and enjoyed it. Staff was friendly, albeit unknowledgeable about the menu, at least in my case. My only issue was that I ordered the fish tacos which come with a bean and corn salsa. Tacos came out with just lettuce and tomato, with a side of basic red salsa and sour cream. I questioned the waitress if there was supposed to be a bean and corn salsa; she didn’t know and went to the back. She came back with a small side of black beans and tomato pieces-clearly not the salsa. I asked again, «was there supposed to be a bean and corn salsa? I may have misread the menu.» She said she still didn’t know, the cook just handed her that in the back, and that sometimes they run out of items and just improvise. I ended up eating just half a taco, and they did take it off the bill without me requesting they do so. Overall, there were few items that looked appealing to us on the menu, and I was disappointed that they took liberties with my order without at least asking; I understand running out of items, but you should consult the guest before getting creative with their $ 10 entrée.

What a delightful eatery here in town. My husband and I enjoy eating here on a weekly basis. Only wish they served Garbanzo Bean soup… Clean friendly and great servers. Give it a try sure you’ll like it. They have wonderful daily Specials.

I honestly can’t decide which is worse, the food or the waitresses.

We were excited to try something new in our little town. But were very disappointed. It took at least a half hour to order(maybe 20 guests were there). We ordered the«authentic Cuban sandwich»!? There’s nothing authentic about it! Bread, ham, mustard and a piece of pork that was barely recognizable. Save some money and go to Publix! Their Cuban is MUCH better. I watched customers leaving and looking for some recognition from the waitress standing at the cash register. She never lifted her head to thank them. I may have given the food a second chance but when I saw that I was done. Three strikes your out!

Went by last night for dinner and had a terrific meal. My wife had the Ropa vieja and it was awesome! I had the paella — it was also awesome. We got so much food we had dinner tonight as well! Service was great. Very prompt and friendly. I think we found a new favorite resturant!

I had high hopes for this place. It’s unfortunate that they really sucked. The rice tasted like minute rice… Actually I knew it was min rice. The Cuban sandwich was poorly made. It wasn’t hot and they didn’t even use the roasted pork that they serve everyone with rice. Why would they use a tasteless sliced pork for a sandwich when they have a tasty pork in the back. I will tell you why! Sheer laziness. If the would put more effort in to the food it would be so much better and they would have way more business. I wish they would try a little harder cause it would be a great place.
