Kings Bay Canines began with the goal of offering the best, most knowledgeable, dog training services in the industry.

Courtney Bentley is a Professional Canine Trainer and Behavior Specialist, certified by Starmark Academy in Hutto, TX. She is the owner/​head trainer of Kings Bay Canines, which currently offers private lessons, group classes, and board and train options for pet dogs. Courtney has over 1,500 hours of formal training education to offer (and is always looking for more continued education opportunities), plus the experience of the countless hours she’s spent with the dedicated pet parents of Kings Bay Canines. Courtney has completed Starmark’s 12 week program, earning the Canine Training and Behavior Specialist certificate. She went on to intern for the academy for 12 more weeks, and then apprentice with a detection company training drug and bomb dogs for an additional 8 weeks. With hopes of training working dogs in the future, she has attended an apprenticeship opportunity with the Penn Vet Working Dog Center in Philadelphia, PA. Here she continued her education with Narcotics and Explosives detection work, and gained more experience with Search and Rescue, and Medical Alert training. Courtney has been afforded many great opportunities such as being a part of filming the TV show, Revolution, with some of the dogs from Meerhout Kennels, as well as be featured in news segments with her dog, Rusko, regarding Starmark Academy. With over 1500 hours of training, she has the passion, education, and experience to confidently offer some of the best services in the industry.
