All workers don’t know what they are doing you ask where something is they don’t know even the managers

I just have to say Lorenzo in hardware knows customer service. I was shopping for a specific Husky tool bag, I found the ones on the sales floor very dusty. Lorenzo offered to grab a new tool bag in the overhead. Couple minutes later I left as a very happy customer due to Lorenzo’s commitment to customer service, a rarity in today’s retail world. Thanks Lorenzo!

Went in to make a return yesterday. I did not have a receipt but I called and was told over the phone they could look up the receipt with the card I purchased it on. So I go to the return desk and the cashier working at the returns was super nice, but when she called over the manager that was a different story. He was so unprofessional and had a big attitude. She told him she needed the item number to look up the item. First words out of his mouth were that item is seasonal we can’t do anything for you. I asked if he could try and look it up in the computer and he said, no because it wouldn’t be there. So then I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to that might be willing to help me. He said no I’m the only manager right now. So then I said can I have the number to the company that made the item and he then changed his tune. He said let me call my store manager and see what we can do for you. I got a partial return after all that, which I guess is better than nothing. I just think it’s ridiculous that I had to fight for a refund. That guy was a poor excuse of a manager. I hope in the future Home Depot does a better job of choosing someone to hold that title. The only reason I didn’t give one star is because the girl at the register was super nice. She even apologized for the way her manager was acting.

TERRIBLE, WORST EVER, just paid off a $ 6000. credit card. Had ordered new entry doors first of year. Was in an auto accident and just able first of August to unwrap and install them
The wood door has joints separated and about a ¼ inch gap that lets the sun and bugs in. I am told that the warranty was for 45 days only. It needed to be finished before the 45 days. How do you see a warranty when you don’t even unwrap it till ready to install.
I don’t dig the warranty out of a box of a TV I purchased until I am ready to set it up and remove everything from the box.
The employees at home depot are not trained in product knowledge at all. They come in from off the street and are hired at a low wage and it shows. The management (always an assistant NEVERR the actual store manager did not even try to suggest something to help or keep me as a customer. My days of shopping Home Depot are OVER. they are not the only game in town.

I came in searching for a lockable electric outlet cover (as my not so savory neighbors have been plugging into my outside outlet and thus doubling my electric bill). I was so thankful for all of the associates help, from the gentleman at the door, to the guy helping me pick the cover and lock, to the gal at the self check out. I feel bad as I don’t recall their names but I’d recognize their faces. Thanks for helping me when I felt helpless!

Needed a mailbox and post. Home Depot had small inadequate selection. Finally thought to check Loews selection online. Found a decent setup and drove to Palm Springs to pick up. Went back to Home Depot to get numbers for my mailbox. They were out of the number six and I need four sixes. Picked up mailbox numbers at Lowes in Palm Springs.

Must update Home Depot it’s the biggest joke in Yucca Valley went in looking for some plywood and they sent a guy over to help me and he was such a jerk I left and told him I would go to Lowe’s they don’t deserve a star thumbs down

We’ve been in this store several times and each time an associate has been able to answer our questions. We also purchased appliances from this store– their prices and warranty deals beat Sears!

Complete idiots. Do NOT ask them to cut lumber for you. I don’t know how they could miss by .25″ and almost a half inch. Moreover, how they managed to get my boards so far off square. I suspect the guy just didn’t flush everything up against the fence. I normally cut everything myself, but I had some really wide and long pieces that I can’t do on my table saw. So, I assumed they could make simple cuts. I was mistaken. They are untrained idiots. The employees look like a bunch of meth users; perhaps that was the problem. I’ve been shopping at the Yucca Valley Home Depot Store for almost a year, and I’m really at the point of swearing the place off; complete idiots. I’ve filed a complaint with the manager & I’ll see if you cares enough to call me. The real problem is that there are not too many Hardware Store options in the area, unless you drive to the Lowes in Palm Springs, or use «Builder’s Supply» on Hwy ²⁴⁄₇. Builders Supply is good, but they close early. If you know exactly what you need and where it is located in the Home Depot store, you might be okay. If you need a specific tool & order it on-​line with the «ship to Store» system, you might be okay. The staff at the Yucca Valley Home Depot is actually worse than the staff at the Walmart. Basically, if you shop there, don’t expect any real help or anyone to know what they are doing. If you know what you need & what you are doing you will be okay. Nuff said.

Decent store. Mostly good experiences peppered with a couple of bad ones.
First, they need to work on customer service on the phone. They tend to bounce you around, trying to find someone who can solve your problem. Admittedly, this is a problem at most any big chain store, as an employee’s knowledge is limited to the department he works in.
Second, we had an issue where we brought an item to the front with no sticker, as the only ones with stickers were in an inaccessible location behind some crates. We told the girl what the price was, but she insisted on having someone go back and check. We were already holding up the line trying to figure this out and I was tired of waiting so I told her to just forget it. The item was relatively inexpensive — a $ 10 broom, I think. I’ve been in this situation before, and most cashiers will take your word for it and punch it in manually at the register. Again, it was a cheap item. She should have just rung it up.
All that said, their customer service desk is a bit understaffed but customer service is quite good overall. One of their employees helped me with an ant problem I had been having on my property. He was spot on with the product he recommended and I am truly grateful.

Bad day for service here today. Employees scarce and those I could find didn’t acknowledge me and walked another direction as I approached. Took 20 minutes to find what I was looking for on my own. But they had it so I gave them a star for that. Last week I was there to get a board cut. It took 10 minutes for my friend to go get someone to call someone to the saw while I waited at it for an operator.

Home Depot is Home Depot.
I came here to buy some stuff for my parents house. I walked straight into the paint department and placed my order for four different colors in five different sheens (including a paint match). The ladies working in the paint department know their stuff. All I had to say was the color number, sheen and that I did or didn’t want integrated primer.
While our paint was mixing, my mother and I went back to look for some base molding for the front bathroom and we encountered the famous orange apron stupidity.
«Can I help you?»
«Yes, we are looking for base trim.»
«Oh, you want to put up shelves?»
«No, base molding.»
«.uh…»
“Molding that sits at the bottom of the wall against the floor.”
«Oh yeah, over here.»
OMG. REALLY?! He then proceeded to attempt to explain to us the difference between the wood molding and the MDF molding. I finally put him out of his misery and said, «My dad is a cabinet maker and I used to manage a store like this, so I think we’ve got it from here.»

This home depot is just like any other home depot that you’ve ever been to. They hire respectable candidates, and train them very well. The store layout is no different than any other. The parking lot is massive. The only thing here is you have to do some searching some time to find someone to help you however, once you locate em’ you’ll be squared away in no time.

This is the best Home Depot I’ve been to. Super helpful staff and very relaxing to stroll around and peruse tools, hardware, lumbar and everything else.
I’ve always received good service here. I love that they are out here supporting the community, I’m not sure where we would have to travel to if they weren’t here but probably far.
Sometimes the prices are a bit up there compared to some online merchants but mostly comparable. Some more power tool options would be good.
When I call some hold music of some sort would also be good as I’m never sure if they’ve cut me off or not?
(I really think the review saying they want to give it the double bird should be removed. Please flag.)

If you are expecting the usual Home Depot customer service, skip this location. It’s very difficult to find help. I could find no one to assist me in flooring, even though I waited 10 minutes. On to roofing — same problem.
Upon checkout (@ self service because there was only 1 other line open) I asked for help with 1 item that I couldn’t get to scan. The checker was not busy, but her answer to me was «are you sure you know where to scan the barcode?» Grrr. Not an atypical visit to this Yucca Valley Home Depot.

I love this joint. They give military discounts. And as a new home buyer you can come up with all kinds of projects. As a renter i never went in places like this except if i had to replace something or touch up painting. But you can get your self in trouble in this place LOL. Staff is pretty awesome as well! they are there to help for sure. Don’t get to much advice from them on how to do something. You tube it before following them! It will be an Epic Fail, however they do mean well!

Wow… not sure why people are so frustrated with the fact that there actually is something besides Walmart in Yucca… or that they try to help you… but
I’ve had great service here. I went to figure out some landscaping ideas for my yard and the guy that I spoke with was very helpful and seemed very knowledgable. The ladies at the register have always been sweet, often reminding me they have a military discount *THANK YOU!* Even if it is a couple bucks, saving any little bit helps!

I love Home Depot. I get lost in the aisles of lamps and faucets and fake little kitchens. I was super surprised to find on in our area, I figured that it would only be small mom and pop type places. It is a bit of an eyesore, and it is the last thing you hit on your way out of town headed towards Joshua Tree.
Is this the best stocked Home Depot? No, but it’s pretty good.
Anything I’ve needed has been here — including plastic flaps for our dog door.
The guys were real helpful when my husband was looking for some piece to fix the outdoor lighting system.
But what sold me on THIS Home Depot? The standing 10% discount for all military personnel. Just show your DOD ID at the register.

Every time I drive past Home Depot I want to give it the double bird. Not just because it’s a sprawling monstrosity of a big box retail store, or because they chopped down god knows how many joshua trees to build a parking lot the size of a small city, but also because you’d think with a box that big there’d be something good inside. Some stuff you need, or think you need. Wouldn’t you?
At this point, just walking into home depot sets my nerves on edge. The looming towers of crap, the orange vested college kids (who know nothing about where anything is, so don’t even bother asking), the orange vested retirees (who really do want to be helpful but just aren’t), and the fact that when you don’t need help you get stuck in an orange vested love swarm but when you do need help there’s nary an orange vest in sight. No wait, there’s one, but «this isn’t her department.»
So let’s say you finally do manage to locate Doohickey Aisle #89 on which faucet aerators are located. I’ll bet you $ 100 they’re out of the exact size you need.
The ladies in the orange vests are always so happy to «thank you for coming» when you exit. It’s like they know something you don’t…like maybe that the joke’s on you.
