Dentist is just plain mean and nasty. Rude and insulting.

I took my mother to her dentist appointment with Dr. Chang last week. When she got there at the appointed time, they told her to come back an hour and a half later. So we did a few things in town (we both live outside of Yucca Valley). We then went back and they said her partial did not come in and they would call her next week. I was so angry when I heard that. I asked my mother why she did not ask them why they could not call her to tell her that instead of having her wait several hours sitting around for her appointment? I strongly urged my mother not to ever go back to them. How dare they treat patients this way? My mother always did complain that the office visits take such a LONG time.
If you are a senior, do not put up with this kind of treatment!

The worst dentist I have ever had. I will never return. Bad attitude hard to understand gave a very bad 15 second cleaning. Total waste of my time! Plus extremely rude. Don’t use this guy even if he is the only delta dental dentist in high desert. Do yourself a favor go down to the valley many more dentist there. no star here!

This guy just wants to pull teeth, and make his car payment. If you want someone who cares about you then see the dentist in 29 palms on the 62 just before you clime the hill on the left side of the road. This is my second visit to Dr. Chang. Today I sat in the waiting room for 1.5 hours. The doctor seriously overbooks himself. I am now sitting in a chair waiting for my cleaning. This will be over a 2 hour trip to the dentist for just a cleaning. I will not be returning.

The girl who did my xrays was polite… the dentist, meh.
The dentist is cold and rude, not patient and you can tell he doesn’t like his job (or where he works very much) I had such a good dentist in Orange County, its hard to have a brash man. I’m sitting in the lobby right now, waiting to go back again… im worried he’s going to be harsh with me, and hurt me. The chair already hurt really bad, because i have a spinal fushion and he just lowers it fast and all the way back too fast. My mouth is sensitive. He told me what fillings I needed, I asked if the sinus pressure and ear ache was from the teeth, and he said «I just told you what you needed» (sorry to bug you with a question, buddy. BUT ive had a dentist drill where there was an infection, and my whole face swelled… I WAS TRYING TO FIND OUT IF I NEED ANTIBIOTICS LIKE I DID THE LAST TIME… because I PROBABLY DO) Ive had 6 pregnancies, my teeth are shot. The dude is punching a clock and doesn’t care about people)
Go down the hill to get things done, its not worth this place being local. Im going to find someone who knows how to do it right, and get antibiotics then my stuff done so I don’t end up in the darn hospital with sepsis. I will be washing my mouth and ears with peroxide, until i can find a dentist on my husbands next day off. His communication sucks

what horrible customer service! my family has had dr henry as our family dentist for over 6 years… as s possible dental procedure my wife needed a crown n root canal done and between my ins. snd medical they wanted 369 $. we saved up and prepaid on mar 2… 3 nites ago we were robbed, we needed our $ back so we go ti the dr and explain the situation, we get told to wait so he can check her chart. 45 min go by and no response. i ask to see the dic i mean doc snd instead get his assistant who says it may take a while to see him… he’s busy. saw him talkin to his staff10 min ago and he then couldn’t take 3 min to explain to my wife, he instead takes another patient, ignoring us i ask again to see the doc. i get the assistant who just keeps saying he’ll be busy and would call us at the end if the day. now mind you, 6 years we’ve known him, i know he can hear me complaining about these grievances and still will not just poke his head around the corner to say? anything! i get they may not have the$ rite now but our family doc hid behind his people and now they are closed and (big surprise) the answering mach is full. now i feel like a victim twice over and he won’t be in his office till wed. you can be the best dentist in the world but if if you are an a$$hole people won’t want to work with you. for example after we get our $ back (whenever that will be) we’ll be finding a new dentist and we suggest ALL dr henry cheng dds patients do the same before you too get treated like we did!

Patients should be aware that this practice no longer does regular scheduled cleanings and does not notify you of this fact when you make the appointment. My husband and I have been patients of Chang’s practice for several years. Never met Dr. Chang — we were always seen by the Loma Linda graduate students he employs, but received satisfactory care from them until November, 2014. We went in for our usual checkup and cleaning and experienced the following problems: 1. they were way overbooked — we waited 30 minutes in the office and another 30 minutes in the chair. 2. We did NOT receive the cleaning we had scheduled. When we asked about it, we were told that now they only do a cleaning if the dentist says it’s necessary. We have had our teeth cleaned every six months for 30 years and if a dentist is going to make such a radical change in standard practice, they should explain their reasons clearly beforehand, so the patient can make an informed decision. We sent Dr. Chang a letter informing him of our experience. We never received an answer.

Anybody who says that they enjoyed going to the dentist is either lying or in allot of pain. That said, I came in for a cleaning and crown prep. I liken the experience to being on a really hairy amusement ride. I don’t go on them. At least this didn’t make me sick. Seriously, I am pleased with the courteous and professional service. In the infamous words of Arnold S. I’LL BE BACK

I had a really nice time today getting my right wisdom teeth pulled out they are super professional Dr. Chang makes the experience pleasant he gives you breaks in between the teeth he pulls and his staff is super friendly and helpful. Also my daughter went in and they examined her teeth it was her first dentist visit she is four they were super sweet with her and made her feel at ease so happy with this Dentist he is super awesome I recommend anyone who is looking for a good Dentist in Yucca to come here: D take care guys thanks for the good work!
