Yucaipa Dance

The staff is great, the man saying the place is dirty. Doesn’t make sense, why go to a place that you feel is filthy? I don’t trust his review and neither should you. My daughter loves it here.

Great Studio! Amazing teachers–

Awful. Very disappointed in this studio. Unfortunately! My sister called in advance to get information to sign my 3 year old niece up for pre-​ballet! The gal on the phone gave her all the info and said to just come in with her ballet shoes. My sister asked not once but twice if she needed to come in and register her or pay for the class in advance and she was told no, they have plenty of room. Just come in in! My niece was beyond excited. This morning we arrived to her class with my niece dressed in her adorable new ballet outfit. She was literally jumping Up and down full of excitement! The lady at the front desk asked if she had registered so my sister explained the situation not only was the lady at the front desk unprofessional but extremely RUDE! I made a comment to my sister saying «what a crappy situation» (for my niece) & the lady decided to blow up saying «well it’s full I’m sorry that’s just the way it goes not my fault. There is nothing shady going on & Idk what to tell you» nobody said anything about being shady sooo not sure where that came from. Oh and this was all in front of tons of other parents which made it even more wrong. Anyhow, I told my sister to take her to a better studio one that was more professional because Yucaipa dance, clearly isn’t! My niece balled when her mommy had to explain to her she would not be doing dance today. The way this whole situation was handled was awful!!! I couldn’t believe how unbelievably rude the lady was and how they can have a little girl ready for her class and then had us leave the way she did. They could have had her try the class and had her signed up with one that had an opening. Anyways. We are super thankful for a different studio in Beaumont that was able to take her in. Guess everything happens for a reason! She is now with a dance studio that has not only incredible hospitality but is professional.

Wonderful family owned dance studio! I have 2 daughters and a niece who dance here and we love it! They offer ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-​hop, and musical theater. They’ve even added adult ballet, tap, and jazz this year. The studio is small and well maintained and the owner and instructors are friendly, easy going, and, most importantly, passionate about dance. The performances are beautifully choreographed and are always a hit with families, friends, and community members. The thing I love most about Yucaipa Dance is the relaxed atmosphere. This is not a competition studio like what you see on TV, this is a studio where everyone is welcome and everyone just loves to dance.
I also feel that I must defend the studio against the slanderous review that was written by «William.»
Please do not believe his blatant lies. The studio is cleaned daily, the temperature is always comfortable, and families receive well over two tickets to the end of the year performances. I could go on pointing out all the falsehoods of his review, but I won’t. He was clearly unhappy for some reason and felt the need to falsely criticize a wonderful studio and talented instructors. Please don’t let his review stop you from stopped by by and seeing the studio for yourself. You’ll be happy you did.

My daughter has been dancing here for three years. I’m currently looking for another studio.
First, it is filthy. The walls are covered in dirt, the window sill openings were you can watch your child dance are coated in dust, the carpet in the waiting area hasn’t been vacuumed in years. After my daughter’s class, she comes out filthy. The dance floor (where they stretch and sit) hasn’t been cleaned in years either. If the owners cared an ounce for their customers, they could keep it clean.
Second, air conditioning and heat. When it is a hot day in Yucaipa, you bet it’s going to be miserably hot in the studio. They NEVER use air conditioning. They stuff 10 – 15 kids in one room (jumping around, breathing hot air) and refuse to use the AC. The same in the winter; your child is going to freeze in there.
Lastly, the end of the year performance. We had 3 performances this year with restrictions of two tickets per family. It would make more sense to have one performance with one large venue, rather than have families have to have their child partake in three performances. I basically went to two performances and took our other children with me to each, while my wife went to one with a grandparent. It would be helpful if we could all purchase tickets and attend together. I also was so disappointed in the performances. The children were great; but all the routines had almost identical choreography. I think the instructors are so complacent and apathetic. They are the only studio in Yucaipa with over 300 dancers in attendance. There’s no need for them to stay at the top of their game. And, they don’t.
I’m sad to write such a bad review, but maybe they will read this and put some TLC back into this studio.

My 5 year old loves her ballet classes at Yucaipa Dance. Everyone is so easygoing and friendly.
