Pizza Chalet

My new favorite place. The lunch buffet on our senior discount was a terrific surprise. We decided to try it on a lark and we were very happy we did! We will be returning for lunch there regularly!

My husband and I really like their lunch buffet during the week, there is a variety of pizza, thin, pan as well as cracker thin, if you don’t see a pizza you like, they will be happy to make one with the toppings you want, no problem. The broasted chicken is excellent and the French fries and macaroni and cheese really go well with the chicken. The salad bar is quite good and always full. The people serving are always nice and accommodating. We eat here a couple of times a week and we always leave happy and full.

This place blows the big one. There are so many other options for good pizza! Save yourself the trouble and keep driving. Horrible service and dare I say, even worse pizza.

I wish I could say something nice about this establishment. My daughters are involved with the Yucaipa Little Theatre and I always attend their cast parties at Pizza Chalet, but this time was totally insane. They had the tables reserved for us and then acted like there was no reservation. I am highly disappointed and will unfortunately have to take my business elsewhere.

It is sad that «sports teams» in our city are treated like gold. Yet an amazing, organized group of creative community citizens are treated so differently. I am hoping this is made right to Yucaipa Little theatre. As a business owner I just can’t understand turning away a party of 100 that would provide so much revenue on a Sunday night (Sunday of the time change no less). We have had multiple cast parties here and have loved it and raved about it. We had a reservation, confirmation, and congregated when the manager (not sure of her name but she has multiple neck/​facial tattoos) decided our group size was beyond her scope of management. So she crossed out our reservation. We were also told it would be $ 80 for drinks (soda) for our group? With all of the beer and wine our group was prepared to ordered I find this odd. In the past our large group has been afforded only 4 large pizzas and free sodas for the kids (100 people on a Sunday night playing tokens, ordering food, drinking beer). But we have appreciated those 4 pizzas and free drinks so we return!
A special «thank you» to the sheriff we called to help remedy the situation. He pulled my husband and me aside and told us to publicize this on social media, fight our bank on the charges that were not refunded and confided he is also a theatre veteran and he wished he could do more.
I am currently directing the next show at Yucaipa Little Theatre. I have a large cast and production team that total about 50 residents. (Not including their family members and friends or additional volunteers). Needless to say our cast party will not be at Pizza Chalet and I am actively reaching out to other local establishments. I will also not hesitate to explain why. This show has A LOT of new people and a handful of recent transplants to Yucaipa. And I am sad that Pizza Chalet is not a friend to Yucaipa Little Theatre.

Ridiculous. Ordered 10 pizzas for my daughters first birthday party, came to pick them up and they gave them to another party of people in the restaurant. Had to wait forever for them to remake our entire order. Typical brainless teenagers running the establishment making stupid mistakes. My family’s business won’t be returning here again.

Regretting not coming to this location sooner. Hadn’t been since they moved. Excellent variety at the salad bar. Many choices at the buffet. Super friendly service. Came for lunch with my boy, will definitely visit again!

Omg, haven’t been here in years & thought we’d give it a try. My daughter had the pizza & it was was excellent! The crust was hand tossed & soooo good! I had the broasted chicken and it was the best I have ever had!!! Moist juicy chicken with the best crunch!!! Well done Pizza Chalet — who knew you’d have the best chicken too!!!

This place needs to improve on their service. If there was an option to give NO stars then I would but Unilocal doesn’t give you that option. We had a private party and the staff said they «forgot» about it even though there was a sign saying it was reserved for us. Horrible. Also, there was a major issue with the tokens. As the patron wouldn’t you want to make them feel welcomed so that they’ll be return customers? If you want good customer service and quality food DO NOT EAT HERE!

The pizza buffet is pretty good. Fried wings, zucchini, jalapeños, French fries, and other veggies. A nice selection of pizzas, salad, and a couple types of pasta. It’s not gourmet, but what do you want for $ 7.99? The kids love it.

Neat little place, GREAT crust on the pizzas. Friendly staff, would definitely come here again.

We’ve visited Pizza Chalet on MANY occasions, both ordering off the menu and having the buffet. We will not be back under any circumstances. I don’t care if the entire meal was FREE!
Cons:
–crummy pizza. Other items such as pasta are little to be desired.
–original wings changed and are terribly dinky now. Hot sauce and BBQ are all that’s offered.
–prices are high.
–medium drinks are almost $ 3.
–takes too long to clear the tables.
Pros:
–large salad bar with lots of options (however, last visit the lettuce was frozen and ruined, they still served it).
–cool soda machine
–Friendly service.
–Nice overall location with ample parking.

This place suuuuuuucks now! It used to be good but they have managers that won’t address issues like burnt pizza. We ordered two pizzas. .one with cashews. The cashews came out burnt. The employees told me they would make a second to replace it. After 30 minutes of waiting, I went to find out where the replacement was. They had no idea but speculated that it was put out on the Monday buffet. The manager offered another bigger replacement and a coupon. What they brought was a pizza with the cashews UNDER THE CHEESE which were soft and gooey. And it wasn’t a bigger pizza and there was no coupon. I tried to address the problem but apparently the don’t care any more. Scott the owner should wake up before he loses the communities business. Sucks.

Order a to go order from the online menu. .mex pizza… and was charged extra for chorizo and jalapeños…not just a little either almost $ 3 for each… why do I have to pay extra for the ingredients that make it a Mexican pizza. ??? And when I informed them that their online menu says either ground beef or chorizo and doesn’t specify that there would be a extra charge on those item says jalapeño on request I got told oh well we changed that… while your pizza is good it’s not good enough to overpower your crappy service!!! And charging $ 3 a topping (very minimal amount) is very ridiculous!

You have to understand what this pizza joint is…
Yucaipa history!!! When in paramedic school this place kept us alive… The old location had soul. The new place is cool, smaller but it works. The lunch buffet is what makes the place. Listen you are not going to get gourmet pizza here nor will you get chucky Chesse pizza. The beer is cold and kids will have fun. Respect the Pizza Chalet !!!

Wow!!! Is this place for real? I have never seen such a dirty place. Filthy!!! All but 2 tables are dirty. Trash everywhere on the floor!!! I took pics!!! Bad thing… There’s only 2 tables being used!!!

This has to be no the worst pizza in town, I buy pizza at Caesars and dominoes for the kids and this is even worse than that, save your $ and buy a frozen one, it’s a new location, but the quality dropped to a level that is not even enjoyable.
I am not going to promote any other place, but I have to believe I will not be eating this place again.
Their salad bar used to be good, so maybe I will try that next time, if I have to go at all.
