History

Established in 1984.

It all started with 12 year old Spencer Hampy wanted a paper route. His father Bill told him that a paper route wouldn’t be a good fit for him and asked his son to come up with somthing he could do on his own time. Spencer came up with the idea of locksmithing, so his dad helped build a cart with a key machine, for Spencer to pull behind his bike and 12 year old Spencer became a locksmith. Spencer was resourcefull, one day he asked General contractor Al Kosh about supplying locks for his houses. Al got Spencers dad involved and a deal was struck. Now over 25 years later the company has grown from a kid on a bike to a bustling storefront with up to three mobile techs in the field at a time. All things come full circle and retired contractor Al Kosh now works for The Key Pedaler as our commercial bider. Spencer has sence moved to New York and the business is run by his dad Bill Hampy and General manager Bradley Williams. The Key Pedaler continues it’s commitment to be the best we can be.

Bradley has been our general manager since 1999. With years of experince Bradley is knowledgeable in safes, CCTV, accsess control, highsecurity automotive, commercial and residential door and bath hardware. With his experience covering the full spectrum of locksmith needs our service techs know they can take on whatever locksmith job comes in.
