Just like all the other reviews, the husband and wife were very friendly and the service was quick and thorough. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes and there was one car being tested when I drove into the lot. My son was in a couple weeks earlier and he and I would whole heartedly recommend Quick Smog.

I filed a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Reapair (BAR). The owner and mechanic of Quick Smog asked me to come outside after completing the smog test. He stated that my car passed smog, but that he failed it because ‘pcv hose modified’. They charged me $ 31.75. He explained that I had a non-​after market hose on my heater valve. He told me I needed to go to Ford or Mazda, have them replace it, then bring it back another time and he would charge me again for the certificate and the re-​smog only $ 18.95. I asked if the car passed and he said yes, but not visually and gave me the paperwork. I went to a different place in town and passed no problems.

Great service, they fit me in even though they were closing in 10 minutes. Very fast service. The wife does the front desk work and she was so sweet and welcoming. The husband does the work on the cars and he was very knowledgeable, quick, and friendly. Plus they are one of the only places around that does enhanced testing for my Southern California registered car. Will definitely be back!

You can stop searching, this is the one! It’s the least expensive ($ 38 for my ’98 Mustang), super quick (10 — 15 mins), friendly and courteous service, clean, air conditioned waiting room with plenty of chairs, magazines, and even cold water. You can make an appt or walk in. PLUS the owner/​operator is HONEST! My car was having trouble passing due to changing the battery the previous day. He figured out the cause, and ended the test, instead of completing it and having my car fail. He told me what I needed to do, I brought it back later that day, and it passed. He could have easily gotten me to pay twice. I can’t help but wonder how many other places would have just let my car fail and then tell me how to fix it. I’m a customer for life!

Awesome little place! I was in and out in about 15 minutes with my old Taurus. Only $ 40 and change which was a bargain compared to some other prices I was quoted. Very nice little family business will be going back next time I need a smog test. Thank you!

Got my old 2000 Honda Civic tested here today. Quick, efficient and cheap. $ 38 out the door (no coupon necessary). Passed just fine. They take visa and have a waiting area that’s clean and simple with cold bottle water. No appointment necessary. I’ll bring my diesel p/​u here next. I think he said it’s just $ 10 more for diesels. Nice guy. Thanks!

I had my vehicle smogged here yesterday and it was speedy, thorough, and professional job. I made no appointment and still the service was incredibly prompt and friendly. I enjoyed the facilities as well (which are sparse, but that allows you to spend your short visit imagining the early history of Yuba City in this vintage building) which had seating, water, and reading material. Definitely returning here next time I need a smog check and highly recommending it to all who ask.

Got my car smogged here today. Absolutely no frills, which are completely unnecessary for a smog shop anyway. I was there for about 10 minutes total. You can’t beat the price ($ 39.20). What appeared to be the husband and wife team were cordial and seemed appreciative for the business. I am coming here next time I need a smog.
