Autozone

Stood waiting to be checked out for twenty minutes without a line this time, and last time was told deposit for ‘free rental’ tools would be upwards of $ 100. Always under staffed and the staff seems like they don’t know what their doing.

My wife needed new wipers. Since I normally handle car maintenance she doesn’t have a lot of experience in this area. The folks at Auto Zone were great. They told her exactly what blades she needed and then they even installed them. Better yet, they did this in the rain. Thanks so much, you guys are great!

Usually has most parts needed. Staff is usually friendly and helpful although I have seen long lines while other employees are seeming to not be doing much. You can always find good deals on oil and filters. 3 stars and I’m a repeat customer.

I’m not one to review chains — I’m not sure why not, they just don’t speak to me. Maybe it’s the staff at these places that normally have their eyes glazed over without a bit of knowledge under their belt. Maybe it’s the difficult-​to-​navigate aisles and all the merch. But here I am writing for Autozone.
After a few visits for some basic stuff (windshield wipers, oil, etc.), I’ve decided that this location’s staff is pretty darn good. They’ll welcome you right when you come in the door, efficiently find whatever it is that you need, never are condescending, always offer to help you install/​use the stuff you just bought, etc. Plus on most days there are equal parts male and female staff, and just as equally helpful. Thumbs up. I get real tired of bro-​land when dealing with cars.
That said, for some more specific auto mechanic stuff (like replacing shift gear linkages, for example), they have less expertise. But honestly, I don’t think autozone stays in business because of its car mechanic clients/​projects — more so, it serves our everyday car needs. And that they do very well.
This location, its staff, and its products will always be my to-​go place while in town.

I came here recently, on a blistering cold day, because the wonderful polar vortex froze the life out of my battery. It was a totally unexpected expense (and at the end of a pay period when my bank account was seriously low) and an absolute inconvenience to have to deal with… but the staff at AutoZone made the experience totally enjoyable.
From the time I walked in the door until I drove out of the parking lot I was properly greeted, assisted, continuously asked if I needed any help (while the wonderful gentleman who was helping me froze his fingers off replacing my batter and I waited inside), and given the BEST customer service possible. They were able to pull up my information int he system and give me a pro-​rated discount on the battery based on my previous battery purchase with them.
That will win me over every time, hands down. If you give me good service I will be a loyal customer for life, and that is what AutoZone has made me. I will always go there and I will definitely recommend them (HIGHLY) for any products/​services they provide.
On an ending note, the day I was in there they had replaced well over 50 batteries (and that is one store, on one day, only half way through their day). It was CRAZY busy and a bit chaotic (and you could tell some of the staff was, rightfully, overwhelmed) but they still did an AMAZING job. Great work, AutoZone staff, keep it up!

Great prices, everything I needed was in stock, good customer service, and the Loan-​a-​Tool Program is excellent. I’m a woman who’s pretty DIY auto care savvy, and I didn’t feel stereotyped by the two male associates helping me.

After an awful experience with Suburban Cadillac’s service dept, I skidded and slid my way through the Ann Arbor streets to get a new battery that would replaced the «cracked» one that my dealer had identified. I called ahead of time and not only what John helpful and polite over the phone, but he was also courteous enough to let me know of their price-​match policy in case I wanted to keep shopping around. Very cool.
When I got there, I asked John to check the battery before I went ahead and bought a new one (which, in my opinion, was very competitively priced), and as soon as he popped the hood, he was confident that nothing was wrong with it. Hooked it up to the machine — all good. I even asked him to pull the battery out so we could fully inspect it. After unscrewing bolts, checking every side of the battery, and even sprinkling soda to check for acid — NOTHING. Turns out the dealership had been dishonest with me the whole time.
John was nothing but patient and understanding about the process and was incredibly awesome about the whole thing, especially since he had to get dragged out into the snow. When my battery really truly has something wrong with it, I’m going straight back to this shop — awesome service, advice, and staff there!
