WEMU has been serving Southeast Michigan for nearly 50 years. WEMU is the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti’s lesser known radio station after WUOM, but it has its own charms. They play a little less of the big-​budget talk programs and more jazz and world music. They also have some local features.
The production comes across as a lot less slick than WUOM, but it also has more local flavor, and that’s always nice in your local NPR station.
