History

Established in 1996.

While growing up and visiting Yosemite National Park as a teenager, Scott Gehrman learned quickly about the «Spirit of Yosemite» and how the park can have a profound impact on each person who spends time within. In 1996 Scott created «The Yosemite High Country Adventure» which was a program of a larger non-profit. Through this porgram Scott and his staff introduced thousands of young people to the park through a summer camp backpacking program. The program’s name changed to Lasting Adventures, Inc. in 2007 and is now it’s own non-profit. The company continues to run it’s one and two week summer backpacking programs for youth while also providing a leading guide service within Yosemite with all profits benefitting the youth program.
