Food was yummy. We had brunch. Not blown away by anything that would really make me go out of my way to come back though. We enjoyed out time here. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They had a very large menu which had a lot of gluten free options. This was a plus because it is very hard to find this at other restaurants.

My wife and I had one of the worst restaurant experiences of our lives at this place, recently. We arrived 5 minutes early with 6:30 reservations. We were promptly seated and waitress handed us menus, saying«I’ll be back to tell you about our specials.» She never came back. After being seated for 20 minutes we were forced to flag her down to place an order. She never did tell us what the specials were. One hour and 15 minutes later, the only thing that had been brought to our table was one bowl of soup. That’s correct. One hour and 15 minutes. We flagged down the waitress and told her so. She said, «There’s a glitch.» The table next to us made a similar complaint. They were immediately offered complimentary drinks. We were not. When the food arrived it was lukewarm. I had the linguini carbonara. Worst I’ve ever had, anywhere at any price. Pasta was cheap, bland and tasteless. The cream sauce was barely present. There were only two or three bits of bacon FAT in the pasta, but what seemed like an entire can of peas. And it was not inexpensive at $ 16 for a small serving of pasta.(The French onion soup, too, was very mediocre. Similarly, I’ve had better at just about everywhere I’ve eaten the same.) The hostess knew full well what was going on, but there was no apology or offer to make restitution. I was livid and could not wait to get out of the place. First and last time we will ever visit Thyme.

Excellent food, good service in a nice atmosphere. Definitely one of the better restaurants in the area.

What a disappointment starting with my wife being treated very poorly by the hostess when she went in to be seated. She treated regulars very nicely and us like trash. Sat for 15 minutes and finally had to ask if someone was assigned to our table. Our waitress was very nice but it became clear after a while that she was assigned to too many tables. Busboy came to give second role, saw crumbs on plate, pulled it back and walked away. Had to finally get up and ask for another. Had to ask for a second drink. Net, service was terrible. The food was fair to average. Appetizer were okay, steaks cooked perfectly but both the rib eye and the strip were very tough, sauteed spinach was ice cold and potatoes were blah. Definitely not a repeat!

When we walked in it took approx 10 mins to be seated. We had reservations but the hostess seemed confused where to sit us, even though there was only one table open. They were out of one of the appetizers and told us after we ordered. Service was slow. Filet I had was tough. Took forever to get to go order and check. Atmosphere was really nice and do was waitress. Quality not worth the price we paid.

Wedge salad was decent. Mussels and stuffed mushrooms were good. Skirt steak blackened with Cajun spices was delicious. The server Micheal was amazing. Super attentive and polite.

Have been here in the past and was pleased, but tonight’s Thanksgiving dinner made me miss washing dishes. Service was slow as molasses, kids food must have sat under heat lamps for ages, rather than bringing it over to them. Food tasted ok but arrived cold and was short on portion size. At 5 pm we heard the server tell a table they had run out of turkey breast. And dinner started at 4! We came at 4 and dinner took 2.5 hours, including the 25 minutes we waited for ice cold apple pie that we had ordered at the same time as main meals. Just unacceptable for a pre-cooked prix-fix. They need more than 2 people in the kitchen, or to take less tables. Unfortunate experience, definitely NOT worth the price!

In the past this place has been good. Must have been a real off day. We stopped in for lunch. Only 2 other tables but took over an hour. Everything took so damn loooong. Our waitress was friendly and sweet. Our salad and soups took over 20 minutes. That was the only thing that was edible. I ordered the steak with mashed potatoes. I literally took three bites. I ordered my steak well done, it was rare and still bleeding. The potatoes were the worst. Flavorless, bland, tasted like baby food. My friend had the fish. She also did not enjoy her meal. The fish was bland and not worth the wait Our experience was truly awful. I think this may be off our list.

Well, you wouldn’t expect it from an unassuming little place that shares a building with a gym, but there’s some fine dinin’ and good eatin’ in this corner of the Heights. Best of all may be the service, the waitress that accommodated our cranky 6 year old with bread and the chef who let him build his own pizza. I’ll assume it’s because the place wasn’t busy, but all the same, it was a lovely gesture. That earned Thyme its extra star. The food, the clam chowder and grilled chicken Caesar I ate, were fine. Nothing extra special there, though I appreciated that the beer menu sported a couple varieties of Capt Lawrence. The rest of our party says their meals were«good» or «very good,» which at least means, should we ever find ourselves on our way to Faraway Farm to see the alpacas, we’ll be back.

This place is a disaster! For starters(there were four of us) I had the stuffed mushrooms, 3 tiny stuffed mushrooms that were nothing special over bland unseasoned spinach, my wife had tomato soup which she described as acidic and not good at all, the muscles were so small I think they looked like snails. It only went downhill from there. Wife and I ordered cod and specified not to over cook it. The fish came to the table double well done… SERIOUSLY? My wife’s rice was not edible and mine was terrible as well. My friend ordered fillet Mignon medium it came to the table super well done(dark brown all the way through), he sent it back and 12 – 15 minutes later it came back blue, the inside was raw. Sent it back again and asked for a hamburger medium, it came 15 minutes later rare(he ate it because he was starving) The only dish that was reasonable was the well done salmon my friend’s wife ordered. I guess the cook(not a chef) only knows either super well dome or raw. The waiter Lorenzo made some lame excuse that it’s not his fault, he said; «All I do is write it down and bring it to the kitchen.» He should then be working in MacDonald or Burger King if that’s his level of expertise. Putting it simply this place sucks! ! ! In their favor they took off 2 entrees and why wouldn’t they have?

Delightful return, for lunch this time. Optional Prix Fixe lunch menu is excellent, and good value too. We come regularly. Michael, whether serving or back in the kitchen, is always accommodating. Salads are always perfectly dressed and presented, especially the Thyme Salad. Consider the specials… but check the prices first. Tip: Also a happy hour until 6pm, Tuesday — Friday.

First of all, you walk to the front and are surrounded by a path of tomato plants, basil, parsley and other veggies and herbs! So unusual. The apps were very good. We had the Caprice salad, crab cakes and some other apps and all were very good. For dinner the scallops are wonderful as was the filet. Dessert is a must. Chocolate mousse was terrific. The bartender and waitstaff are very attentive and so friendly! So refreshing as this seems not to be the norm anymore! Check it out!

This restaurant gets one star for making an attempt at fine dining in Yorktown and the second star for making«edible» food. Why am surprised the food was sub par? There is no good food in this town. Unfortunately I work in the area and this is just one of the limited options if you want something other than a sandwich, fast food or brown bag it. Order the salmon if you prefer your fish dry and tasteless. The«risotto» is nothing more than greasy Uncle Ben’s rice that lacked the unctuousness of what a rissoto truly is. Where was the white wine, the parmesean, the flavor? Oh and let’s not forget the«haricot vert». Why not just call it what it is… good ol’ string beans. Again, where’s the flavor? Does the chef have a palette? Okay Yorktown, you win I give up. I will no longer continue to seek food with flair in your town. I have officially surrendered.

While the décor and atmosphere are sleek and pleasant, the food was downright disappointing. My Filet Mignon was extremely thin and very dry(thankfully our server removed this item from the bill). Her Salmon was tasteless and boring. It’s very obvious that the Crab Cakes are out of the freezer and not fresh-made, and the side vegetables are brought to you by Uncle Ben’s and Birdseye. While the server was friendly and very accommodating, when he brought over my second glass of wine, he asked if I wanted him to pour my unfinished glass into the new full glass … that was a HUGE«WTF» in our book. That’s a training issue that needs to be addressed pronto. You NEVER marry liquor! Save your money, folks. I really had been looking forward to this experience, but was so disappointed … and so was my wallet.

We stopped in here for a Saturday lunch after hiking Bear Mountain and couldn’t have been more pleased! The service was impeccable; the server and bartender were helpful, friendly, and attentive. We took the servers suggestion and ordered the«award-winning» tuna tartar, which was zesty and flavorful. We also ordered the arancini which was complimented with a great romesco sauce, and the burrata which was light and fresh. Often I find cream sauces to be too heavy, but the Parmesan cream sauce with the mushroom ravioli special was light yet satisfying. The mahi mahi was served with a refreshing mango salsa atop perfectly sautéed zucchini, squash and peppers. Finally, as if things couldn’t get any better, we ordered the Nutella chocolate mousse. My boyfriend is a chocolate mousse fiend and thought it was some of the best he’s ever had. It was served with homemade whipped cream and a couple strawberries and was the perfect end to an amazing meal. With the clean, modern atmosphere, awesome service, and amazing food I highly recommend having your next meal at Thyme.

Usually I enjoy this restaurant however last night the service(waitress) was awful. Mike as the bartender and the hostess were wonderful but she was nasty. Wanted to get her name but it wasn’t on the bill. The only time she attempted to be nice was when the bill was placed on the table. Too late!

Very small menu. Food was good. We went for lunch, I had the burger and my friend had the steak sandwich. I thought it was kind of pricy for lunch. Restaurant was clean and you can see into the kitchen. Décor was fancy.

Food and service were very good. Loved the ambiance, it reminded me of a restaurant you’d find in NYC. Portions are small and it can be pricey but it’s definitely worth trying. They seem to have a steady following too and the place filled up quickly on a Friday night. My cosmopolitan was very good, as was the warm bread on the table! I had the mousse for dessert and it was small enough not to be too filling and very tasty as well. Also had a perfect cappuccino! Not too many places get that right, so I was happy!

Awesome food, great menu I am being unbiased here trust me I had a simple meal Rice balls, clam chowda and a Cheeseburger My two small complaints are irrelevant And personal(under seasoned Chowda which I fixed at the table and better then the over salted garbage you get in most places) And I loathe not having fresh cut fries, that’s a personal issue. This is one of the greatest restaurants in the area and I’m sorry I don’t get here often. So I only had a burger right? Wrong perfectly cooked, full flavor, tender, bloody!!! And no oversized bun. Perfect size brioche Did I mention the best rice pudding was 5 star, ok it is, and it’s made proper. Come here for restaurant week, I’ll be back for a steak!

My new favorite place to go! Casual, yet classy with friendly wait staff. Loved the food; Fresh, delicious and nice selection. I like options, so if I want to stop by for wine and salad I can or Saturday dinner out, they have it all. AND they offer a full-gluten free menu and an educated kitchen staff that knows — gluten-free. The Whole family will enjoy this gem!
