AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I recently had major car repairs completed here. Chuck was knowledgeable, professional, and extremely fair in pricing. I would highly recommend this repair shop for maintenance and repair.

I’m sure this place is great for transmissions, but I’m writing about a recent experience with them as a full service shop: specifically a/​c repair. The check for what was wrong is free and they did a great job not just explaining what was wrong, but also showing me. The best part, other than having working a/​c, was that the part I needed that was obviously leaking (the condenser) was listed at almost $ 600 for the factory part and the store manager actually called around to at least three different places and found one for $ 100 and passed that savings directly to me. He also beat the local price on evac and recharge by almost $ 50. They also drove me too and from my house while waiting for the part. The manager and mechanics were great and knowledgable: I’m actually writing this review because I had heard this shop didn’t have the best reputation and the new manager is really cleaning things up. This will definitely be my auto shop in York.
