This place has gone down the toilet and have gotten our orders wrong the last 3 of 4 times.
Extremely dishonest
Poor service
Can’t get orders right
Overpriced
Unprofessional manager– Tibb or Tiff
Last two times that we have ordered from The Red Thai Room they have messed up our order. The first time we didn’t complain and let it go, but about two weeks ago they gave us the wrong food and didn’t make it right. My wife called at least 4 times to get them to refund our order and every time we were told that Tiff/​Tibb the female that is upfront would have the manager call us. To be quite honest, I think she is the manager and doesn’t want to own up to her mistakes. «
We spent $ 40-​$ 100 bucks each time we ordered and did this quite frequently but we are never coming back to this place.

What a great evening! The Red Thai Room is a very nice place. You fell like your in a more expensive place. Very well decorated and very clean. Nice settings and can be very intimate! A great place to go with your special someone…
The server came by and delivered water. He was very attentive to us. We started off with a drink and ordered our food. There was many items to choose from that all looked really good. We ordered and soon our food came out. We got the Blue Crab soy paper roll. Very Good!!! then we got orange chicken, and again Very Good! We were so full from the good sized portions. We wanted some desert but were to full. The food was so Good!
The Red Thai Room is a great clean place and the service is over the top. Thank you for the great evening! We will be back for sure! I would recommend this place to everyone! What a nice place!

My wife and I came here for our Anniversary. The Red Thai Room has a very trendy vibe and ambiance. Once you walk in you are greeted to a very friendly face. If this is your first time here you will be greeted by a «gong»…quick, fun greeting. The service continues to be excellent with the wait staff. We couldn’t have asked for better on a special day!
We love great Thai food and we love spicy. We got one of the two, and fortunately it was the great food. They do bring you some spices on the side to heat things up, though still not very spicy. Now the food… EXCELLENT! The food can be described as having a slightly «western» feel, not necessarily «authentic». We started with the spicy edamame and dumplings. Then for dinner we had scallops and the «Chef special» chicken dish. The scallops were very tasty with nice sauce. Our favorite portion of the dinner was the chef special, which he only makes on Wednesdays and only in limited quantity… think about the most moist, juiciest chicken covered in thai spices. That’s what you get here. For dinner it was a great start, excellent finish.
We really loved this restaurant. Very nice place to come for a date. The other half of the restaurant had a nice lounge/​bar area, though we didn’t spend much time there. The food was great and the service matched. So why the four stars? This place is a bit expensive for the portion sizes you are getting. Fitting for a restaurant that is trying to have an upscale feel, but not fitting for the area. Regardless, I would definitely come back here for a special occasion. You should definitely check it out for the same!

Ok, this is not a review based on the taste or quality of food. This is how their manager on duty treated my group. Here it goes:
I have eaten at Red Thai Room several times and enjoyed the ambiance, wine and food. Never any issues with the service or quality.
So, I decided my monthly book club would enjoy trying this place too. I thought a Tuesday meeting for dinner and a relatively quiet space for a discussion about our last book we read would be ideal.
So, I called about two weeks ahead to make a reservation. Per their website I noticed they had a happy hour in the lounge, a select part of the restaurant. So I kindly asked the gentleman who made the reservation for me to reserve us a seat in that section. I understood only part of our time at Red Thai Room would happy hour prices be available, I said that would be fine.
I show up that evening, waiting for my other 10 guests to show. I decided I would order a few happy hour priced appetizers, and the server said we weren’t seated in the «right» section of the restaurant to receive the happy hour food. I asked to speak to the manager as the person who I spoke to on the phone when I made the reservation said I would be in the happy hour section. Apparently I wasn’t not, and was looking for the manager to honor what her staff had told me. Instead she told me she couldn’t and didn’t apologize for her staff’a error. The interesting part was we were planning to order off the main menu which we did too.
Integrity is important and the RIGHT thing would have been to honor what was told to me. This changes my view of this place entirely. The other women who attended the meeting enjoyed the food but were surprised she didn’t honor what her staff said.
Overall, I will give this place another try. I don’t appreciate the fake attitude and one in the service industry should remember the customer is always right.

Excellent food, very tasty. The dining room is beautiful, and the food is so flavorful, and delicious. The staff especially Alec (Alejandro) was more than helpful with the menu, the flavors, textures, and perfect components for each dish, i look forward to my return.

Oh my god the miso soup. Hands down best miso soup I’ve ever had in my life. Is it worth the $ 8? Absolutely.
All the curries here are incredible: rich with flavor but not heavy. I’ve had the yellow curry with veggies and it was delicious. I also highly recommend any of the bartender’s drinks or the sticky rice with mango dessert. Can’t wait to go back!

Hands down the best restaurant in Yorba Linda. Believe me when I tell you that you will be pleasantly surprised with every aspect of this place. In fact, if you’ve lived in the area for the past couple of years you’ll be disappointed it took you so long to find this place and give it a shot!
The steam pork dumplings are phenomenal and you can tell every dish is made with only the freshest and highest quality ingredients. Don’t forget desert — the toasted coconut gelato is to die for. I can give recommendations for days but I’m already making myself absurdly hungry by writing this review haha

Our first visit to The Red Thai Roof… Atmosphere is nice, the food especially for the price is mediocre. We ordered Green Curry Eggplant. The pork they added was very hard and chewy, and there were only two small pieces of eggplant.
We also ordered the Fire Roasted Shrimp 22 dollars. Another mediocre dish, the Shrimp might have been frozen, it didn’t taste fresh.
We hope we didn’t catch them on a bad day. We will give them one more chance.

I love the Red Thai Room! The food is great and I love their décor! I have been coming here with my family and friends for last three years.

The Red Thai Room has quickly become one of my family’s favorite restaurants.
The décor inside is beautiful and elegant and the service is impeccable. The food is artfully crafted with beautiful garnishes and sublime ingredients. Red Thai Room is not cheap, but I feel that the portions and price are fair for the quality of ingredients and artistic presentation.
One of my favorite aspects of The Red Thai Room is the cocktails. The bartender has a gift for making special drinks. For instance, my 21 year old daughter asked for something «that tastes like a Capri Sun» and she was rewarded with a sweet cocktail that tasted like a Capri Sun. I said that I wanted a gin based drink and I was rewarded with a refreshing cocktail that was the perfect light accompaniment my meal.
As far as dishes, my family has a few favorites. The Lemongrass and Lime Broth is a wonderfully tasty start to a meal. Both the Crispy Pork Salad and the Avocado Carrot-​Ginger salad are both divine. My family’s absolute favorite dish is the Spicy Red Chili and Large Rice Noodles. The Indian Yellow Tumeric and Sweet Yams are perfectly spiced; some curries are overwhelming, but the chef at Red Thai Room has a perfect hand with spices. Finish your amazing meal with Mango and Sticky Rice, rice layered with coconut gelato and mango. It sounds odd, but it’s one of the best desserts in Orange County.

Ok. Tiff our server was amazing! She not only understood what we liked, she directed us to the menu in an intimate and satisfying way!
I had an avocado– carrot ginger salad and the salad was delicious!
We discovered the chefs family cooked for the royal family of Thailand and the specificity and high quality of the food shows!
Don’t walk– run to this place! They care and they succeed in creating a unique dining experience!

Last weekend, after an afternoon of shopping, my sister, her friend, and I decided to go eat some food. They had passed by The Red Thai Room on a previous occasion while going into the shopping center and wanted to try it.
We pulled up to the restaurant and were greeted by the host that had opened the door for us. He asked us if we had ever dined with them before (we hadn’t) and he picked up this padded hammer and banged the GIANT GONG. We were excited about that… that was pretty cool.
We were walked into a booth towards the bar area in the restaurant. There are 2 sides to the place, the left (which we were seated in) and I guess the other portion might have been the main dining area. Anyway after we were seated I began looking at the interior. It’s not at all what you would expect in a restaurant in Yorba Linda. Not that it’s bad… but it has like a trendy LA vibe going on that doesn’t match at all Thai or Japanese cuisine. So confused.
We looked at the menus, they have a wine menu, Thai food menu, Japanese menu, and you can also ask for a cocktail menu.
After looking at the Thai food menu, we all decided upon our dishes. This is where my 2 stars came in the food is LA prices… I don’t mind spending a bit more on food but… when we got our food… I was surprised at the tiny portions and how NOT delicious the food was. My food was bland and to be honest pretty disgusting.
We had ordered the following items:
Vegetable Rolls — basically fried vegetable egg rolls, a bit bland and tasteless — $ 9
Lime Soup w/​Shrimp — the best dish ordered but so tiny extremely tiny — $ 9
Chili Noodles w/​Pork — horrible bland dish — $ 17
Red Curry w/​Vegetable — looked super bland didn’t try it — $ 18
Our server was extremely attentive but the food was not good. I would consider coming here to try their cocktails… but again — price and food quality did not match. I was extremely unhappy with the meal.
Will I come again? Nope… at least not for the food.

By far the best place we’ve gone to! There’s a great ambiance décor. The lighting is moody. What mood do you ask? Come here and decide for yourself! The gong at the entrance fillls your soul with the resonant frequencies of the gods. Come enjoy food that doesn’t make you feel disgusted, like you just finished a whole pint of ice cream, while watching Green Fried Tomatoes, The Notebook and Little Women back to back, crying about the «what if’s» in your life. *GONG*

Wonderful meal, perfect service!
Spicy shrimp on Point! Ambiance is great and the food is amazing. Had dinner with my husband on date night and we wear not disappointed. We are now singing Red Thai Room’s prowess and will be back.

An amazing spot!
I went for a late lunch and had the pleasure of being seated by Tiv. She’s awesome! She also served as my server and bartender. She knows the history, the menu, and the cocktail list of this restaurant! Come to think of it, there’s not much she doesn’t know. Exploring the menu with her was the first thing that impressed me. She’s been with The Red Thai Room since its inception and it shows. I understand she won’t always be able to take the time but I do appreciate the opportunity to chat with her and get a sense of the original concept.
Upon entering the RTR, I first noticed the gong, which Tiv struck to announce my entry. Nice! As she escorted me to my table, I took notice of the décor and motif. Not the typical Thai spot. Reminds me of neo-​art deco, hipster, cool, mellow, upscale, modern… with hints of… well, you be the judge! It is UNIQUE!
Tiv helped me navigate the menu and I settled on two appetizers, an entrée and a dessert. The spacing was perfect. I had the steamed dumplings, the golden wrapped shrimp, the scallops with roasted pistachios and edamame with egg noodles. The green sauce is absolutely amazing. I finished with the cheesecake! I can’t begin to describe the textures and flavors of these selections.
I also had a Manhattan, a Monkey’s A$$ and a dessert coffee/​liqueur.
I will have to return during the evening hours to checkout the lighting and ambiance.
Hopefully I will see Tiv again.

I wish I could give this place more stars cause they definitely deserve it. The red thai room is my go-​to spot for happy hour or even dinner. They have a good selection of wines and as a beginning wine drinker the bartender is always helpful and super friendly. Oh did I mention the free tasters of wine? AND the $ 18 WINE flight?
And don’t get me started with the food! My favorite is the frugivorous rice. I can never pronounce it but it is soooooo delicious and unique. I love that it comes with super sweet mango and the flavor is a little spicy with a unique je né sais quoi quality to it.
All-​in-​all if you want a great place with awesome people, delicious food and drink, with a romantic yet trendy vibe check this place out. I’ll might even be there and dont be afraid to say hi!

2.5 stars! Nice place. Small portions. A lot more expensive than the usual Thai food. Imagine $ 44 bill for 3 dishes?!
I would have given this place 2 stars but their lemongrass soup with shrimp was really good and is worth half a star. Only half though. If only the serving was bigger, it would have been worth 1 star. The flavor was spot on though I just wish there were more shrimp and tofu. If I’m not mistaken there were only pieces of shrimp in there.
Their pad thai was okay. It was on the sweeter side and yet again serving was not so much.
Their stir fried beef with black rice was average too. If it’s the only dish you ordered, even when the serving is small, the flavor gets boring.
To sum it all up, food is not worth the price at all. If you’re looking for a nice place and don’t mind spending a lot on mediocre food then this place is for you!

Came here for dinner as a girl’s night out and we felt like we were in higher end restaurant. The ambiance is what caught my attention. It’s not your typical thai restaurant where you’re all cramped together and it looks like they just threw some thai decorations around just to make it a restaurant. The Red Thai Room has heavy wooden furniture and it’s very spacious with dimmed lighting, so you have some privacy. I’d say that it’s very intimate! Great for date nights.
Before I even got here, my friend got us wine tasting to try three different type of red wines. All three had it’s own unique taste to it. Get this! Wine tasting was free! Well this was a nice start to our evening. We were so busy trying out wine that we didn’t even take a look at our menu yet. Our server didn’t rush us into ordering anything right then and there but he did recommend a few things for us to look at.
We started off with Shrimp Coconut Tempura (5pcs) and it was delicious. You can taste the shrimp still because their coconut batter isn’t too heavy that it takes away the flavor. We then ordered the Green Curry because I heard that was BOMB. If you ever come here, get their green curry! It is sooooo good. Their curry definitely hits the spot. Our last entrée we got was the Seafood Platter. It had a good balance of seafood and veggies. Everything was oh so yummy. I live two miles away from here and NOW I try The Red Thai Room. I don’t really go out around my area much because there isn’t much to eat or do around here. But I am going to be back here for intimate date nights with the boyfriend.
To finish off my friend wanted to have sake flights and it’s priced pretty reasonable! $ 7 to try 3 different sakes. We got the Emperor’s Tour which had G Joy, Katana, and Tozai.
Since this girl’s night out was for one of my girlfriend’s birthday we also got a complimentary dessert. We got a dark chocolate cupcake with cookies and cream ice cream. Ended our night perfectly. The ambiance and the service was fantastic. Thumbs up*
Shout out to Thanawat Bruce for being an awesome server! He was very attentive and helpful when it came to recommendations. Bruce was very helpful when it came to anything, from our appetizers to entrees, to wine tasting, and sake flights.

I can’t exactly give this one 3 stars.
1 star is for the very nice décor, it is swank and hip inside. The service was very nice. The food presentation was nice, even to go. For this area of Yorba Linda, which tends to have a lack of choice and very boring restaurants, this place sticks out. I would expect to find a fancy place like this in Los Angeles or near the beach.
***BUT***
This place is very expensive for Thai food. $ 34 total for a rice dish and a noodle dish, with sort of small portions. I will try to attach a photo.
And, the food was rather salty. I was hoping the flavors would be spot on and I could give this place 3 stars or higher. I just can’t do that.
I might try this place again, but maybe not.

Outstanding Thai in a city where good restaurants are lacking. Dark wood comfy booths and soft relaxing lighting create the perfect ambience. The music is the only puzzling part of the experience. It fluctuates between Vegas lounge sex beats, hits from the 80’s and all the way back to Sinatra-​type tunes from the 40’s and 50’s.
The spicy garlic edamame is a great starter and instantly numbs the lips. The tilapia and pad Thai were a great mix of flavors for our first time visit. Can’t wait to return and try some of the other very interesting dishes we saw heading to other tables.
