Supatra’s Thai Bistro

Grabbed lunch here over the weekend with some friends. Service was friendly, if not a little bit slow. Highlights were the Tom Kha Soup (outstanding), Papaya Salad (very good), and Pad Thai (very good). The curries that we got were okay. Prices were fair and the portions were very large. Would come back again.

Strip mall thai food in Yorba Linda for Galentine’s lunch. Favorite dishes were the papaya salad (had a nice kick) and pad thai was also great. Their curry is not something I would come back for, we ordered green curry with tofu and red curry with chicken. Service was on point!

I love this place and they are open late on Sundays. Great service and even better food. I would eat here everyday if I could.

First time been here and it was a great experience. When we first came in, a waitress name Bee, came out with a smile on her face to greet us. I noticed most of the customer came there were being greeted the same way.
We seated and she recommended several dishes. We had pad see won and chicken fried rice and they were delicious.
The restaurant was nice and clean. Service was wonderful and the prices weren’t that expensive.
Tip: the restaurant is located at the end corner of the business center. It was hard to find at first.
Must try Thai tea ice

I would not recommend this place at all. It’s been a consistent customer service problem. Twice they give us incorrect orders and then they give is ATTITUDE! No joke. I was shocked. Second time we decided to carry out and saw they packed us a wrong time. Again we call and the lady argues! It’s not worth your time. There are better places with food and customer service! At least get some respect when you eat. The girls in the front are HORRIBLE and disrespectful.

My favorite Thai place in Orange County. Very tasty food and excellent-​friendly service. I love the cashew nut dish (I order it with medium spice and not a lot of heat). Good quality chicken, shrimp and beef on this dish. The lettuce cups appetizer is top notch. The curries are very good, as well. I have probably eaten there 50 times. Love it.

We went to my favorite Thai restaurant today since it was my birthday. I ordered Thai basil chicken and it was so outstanding. The best I ever had. We ordered chicken fried rice for my boys who are only 2 years an 10 months old. It was also great. We ordered Tom Yum and were really disappointed. They put too much sugar in it. My wife and I own a company in Thailand so we know what real Tom Yum tastes like. It is a pity how Thai restaurants carter to Americans and Americanize such great food just because they can’t eat spicy. My advice to Americans and Europeans is if you can’t eat spicy food, stick to your own bland flavor food that you like. Thai people should not have to accommodate to you! This ruins it for people like us.
The staff in this restaurant are number one! We love them!

I have only eaten lunch at Supatra’s.
The good:
Classic Pad Thai– both sweet and spicy their pad Thai had a choice of meat (I decided on tofu) and a great assortment of veggies. What I love about Thai food, is that you can generally order your food with a varying degree of heat, with one being basically no heat and ten being you will be spending most of your evening on the toilet. I ordered a seven and was thrilled with the heat but overall flavor. The noodles and the veggies all cooked but had a good «al dente» texture. You true foodies will know what I mean.

I also have ordered their red curry. I adore Thai curry, and note this is a very easy dish to make at home by following a basic recipe. I ordered it with pork, and was surprised by the meager, I mean barely any pork curry. I understand it’s a lunch portion but was surprised how little food I ate. Needless to say it was small but good enough I cleaned my plate.
Overall, decent value for lunch. Should run you with tax about $ 10. The food is indeed fresh, but the only dish I will be ordering for lunch anyway, is the pad thai. The curry was tasty but the portion seemed a bit, well… unfair for the price. Also… mangos being out of season, I knew they would
Likely be anyway, but mango and sticky rice is my fav dessert, so I think them not having this contributed to my meh attitude about this place.

I love everything on this menu!!! My favorites are the pad see ew, pad thai, rad nah, and kai gua noodle dishes… Their catfish, and yellow curry. All their entrees are delightfully packed with flavor that all nicely balance. Service is awesome. They treat their customers like family and it’s nice seeing customer service being on point. Friday nights they have live music and it creates a very nice intimate atmosphere. Facility is extraordinarily clean. I love coming here to eat and will continue to do so :)

Best Thai food in Yorba Linda, also the only Thai food in Yorba Linda. Fresh ingredients with a healthy Thai options. The green curry extra spicy was great although I was feeling it the next morning. Great staff too! I recommend dining here if you’re ever in the US.

This place is wonderful! The ambience was very causal and the place itself was was classy. I arrived at about 5:15 and there weren’t many people, so the waiter didn’t have any trouble finding us a booth seat near the bar. My dad I always order the same thing when we eat Thai: Panang Curry and Pad See You (Not the actual spelling). We ordered and got our food ten minutes later. At about 5:40, people were starting to come in that in fact, by 5:55, all their seats were all filled. We actually very surprised that the place was filled in such a short time span! We got our check and left after.
This was a very good place for Thai. Oh, by the way, I went on a Saturday and they had live music and the bathroom was spit-​spot clean. Very pleased.

Tried this place for lunch while covering at a friend’s office. I gave the lunch special a try in which I ordered the Thai basil with beef. I like that that special comes with a soup or salad, which was a reasonable size. The Thai basil had good flavor, but the portion was a bit smaller than I hoped. Considering that it’s a lunch special for about $ 10, it’s not too bad. The entrée also comes with rice and a fried wonton. Service was very attentive and the place is very clean with a large parking lot in the plaza. I would be willing to come back to try the other items on the menu and possibly a dinner portion, but it’s not somewhere I would go out of my way to eat.

$ 10 Lunch Specials!
Man, that’s pretty expensive for lunch specials O_​o. Well, it is for me. I got the PAD THAI LUNCH SPECIAL to go. It came with a side of rice, salad or soup and a fried wonton. I enjoyed it a lot. Decent portion and very delicious, but $ 10 is the most I’ve ever spent on a lunch special.
I also got their CRAB and SHRIMP FRIED RICE $ 16 for El Hubby. Decent portion too and good for 2 people. It had real crab meat and 6 – 7 pieces of shrimp. It taste exactly the same as Bamboo Thai Bistro in Redondo Beach but pricier.
The place is located inside a business plaza by Haggens. It’s not very big, but they are good for groups. A saw a lot of families and group of people dining. Service was good. I only ordered food to go so I couldn’t speak about their table service.
Would I come here again? Ummm… Maybe…It’s just that Imperial Thai Cuisine which is nearby has bigger food portions and prices are reasonable.

I was seriously impressed by the quality of food here. We got the duck curry and the glass noodles with chicken. We loved both dishes; this is probably one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to in awhile. The service was very good. It was clean and the interior was decorated nicely.
However, the noise level, omg, the noise level. My husband and I spent the entire dinner struggling to hear each other during the entire meal. I think they need some noise absorbing material in there or something. On top of that, there was live music in the corner. It’s almost impossible to hear my husband over everyone’s conversation and the music. I’ll probably get take out next time.

I had a doctor’s appointment and had a lot of lab work and i got a little light headed, so my husband brought me here for dinner. To my surprise, it is very good! Our server Paul was very attentive and helpful.
If you are ever in this area, it is worth to try it!

Supatras is hands-​down my favorite Thai restaurant and I make a point of having Thai whenever I can. I’ve been eating here fairly regularly for several years now and make it a point to continue even though I’ve recently moved to Corona.
I would recommend Supatras to anyone looking for a superior dining experience regardless of whether they typically like Thai food for a number of reasons. First, the staff are friendly and attentive and are not difficult to communicate with for non-​Thai speakers, as one occasionally encounters in similar restaurants, though I’ve found they do appreciate it when white boys like me do a good job of pronouncing the Thai names for dishes
The food is excellent and made using quality ingredients. I have yet to try something I haven’t liked yet, but my favorites include gang kiew wan (green curry with bamboo, bell peppers, string beans, and cucumber, plus choice of chicken, beef, or shrimp), angel wings (stuffed chicken wings), and the spicy bamboo (also with choice of meat and assorted veggies). For the less adventurous, they also offer excellent renditions of American favorites like orange chicken and cashew chicken. The prices are on par with what I’ve seen at other Thai places — my family of 4 just ate there for around $ 50 including an appetizer and 3 main dishes — but they also have lunch specials from 11 – 2.
As for atmosphere, when you see the unassuming exterior, you would never guess what awaits inside. They’ve created a modern yet culturally rich aesthetic that is particularly lovely in the evenings. They occasionally have talented local musicians providing mellow background music to add to the ambiance. It’s a family-​friendly restaurant but also a great place to bring a date. AND you’ll almost never have an issue with long waits, even on Friday and Saturday nights.
Honestly, there isn’t anything not to like about Supatras. It’s a hidden gem in Yorba Linda that everyone should experience for themselves.

Although this is the closest Thai restaurant near me or in the area, it just doesn’t satisfy me. I would rather drive a plenty more miles to fill my Thai craving. I’ve been here three times and I may not come back for awhile.
I have tried a few dishes here and all are pricey. Pad Thai, Rad Na, Tom Ka Gai, Angel Wings, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Pad see ew, and Chicken Curry Fried Rice. My favorite? Probably the Pad Thai. And let me tell you, I rarely order Pad Thai. I was so disappointed with the Rad Na, my absolute favorite Thai dish. It is slighty on the sweeter side. And the biggest disappointment. they use American broccoli as opposed to Chinese broccoli. This differences plays a huge role in flavor.
The service has been a hit or miss. I have gone on a busy Saturday evening when I had to wait for a table. My party and I sat down only to be told we weren’t next, not our mistake. It was irritating on the service side, but not a huge deal. Service is great, I especially like a female server.
Saturday evenings. live musician which is nice. When I am looking for a more pleasant, clean, modern dining experience for Thai food, I will come here.

Supatra’s didn’t quite satisfy my Thai craving. I saw pictures of their curry and read about their highlights, and maybe I expected too much. They are located in Albertson’s plaza off Yorba Linda Blvd and Esperanza. You’ll have to go deep into the plaza all the way toward the dental office. Parking is ample in the private lot. There’s even extra parking spots behind the restaurant if you absolutely need to go there. I think Unilocal has the right address, but I don’t think apple maps knows where it is exactly. [It told me to turn into the 4^th lane in a 3-​way intersection.]
I ordered three items to share with my eating partner. First, we tried the skewers, which were not worth the $ 8. You can choose between chicken or beef, but we decided to go with half and half. If I had to choose, the chicken tasted better than the beef. The skewers came with a sweet peanut sauce and some pickled cucumbers. I wouldn’t recommend the skewers. Second, we had the lettuce wrap ($ 11), which was the best part of the meal. It’s enough for one to two people as an entrée! It doesn’t look like much, but there’s a lot of stuff in that huge piece of lettuce. I liked that they included water chestnut. I wish they put more meat in it; the pieces of chicken were so tiny. Lastly, we got the green curry ($ 13), which was overloaded with bamboo slices. The curry itself was not good. Everything in it tasted overcooked. The green beans were the worst part.
The service was good. The lady who helped us was funny and engaging when she did come to our table. This restaurant caters more toward the demographics of the city of Yorba Linda… so I feel like not many Thai people actually come here to eat. Lots of customers picked up their take out orders during the hour that I was dining in.

I’m surprised it took me so long to try out Supatra’s. I was even more surprised that the dishes they offered were delicious if not the best I’ve tried.
I’ve ordered the Pad Thai, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, rad na, and pad see ew. Can’t go wrong with any of them.
Pad Thai is a bit greasy but the flavor is perfect. I’ve tried some where the citrus flavor overpowers everything else. Normally, Pad Thai comes with chicken but we opted for pork and it totally changes the dish.
BBQ Fried Rice is typical in every way and ins’t over complicated and under flavored.
Rad Na, soupy Pad See Ew is the best way I would explain it, is top notch here. My only complaints is one, that they can cut the garlic a bit more fine so you aren’t chewing small chunks and garlic and two, they don’t offer Chinese broccoli, which will make this dish so much better.
Pad See Ew is again like the BBQ Fried rice, its typical but done right. Flavor is there and its not too salty or too bland.
Portions are big, no complaint there. I always end up walking out with a to go bag and a smile because I know I’ll be having some delicious left over Thai food.
Service can be a bit better as it does take a good minute to get noticed when they restaurant is somewhat busy. Seating was a nightmare as they weren’t organized and later groups were getting seated before people that have been waiting. I also overheard a group of 12 say that their reserved table was given away to another group.
Additionally, I came in on Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised as there was a live musician playing the piano and serenading the patrons.
