StoneKastle Community Management

If I had the resources to sue them I would. They are not only the worst management company but they are harassing us like crazy. I am disabled and barely leave the house, and my mother does not work. If our car, which is parked in our own space, does not move in as little as 3 days, they mark around my tires and threaten to tow my car! We don’t go out very often, and it’s none of their business! We now have to go out and check the car all the time and move it over an inch so they don’t tow it because it’s always marked up. No one else seems to be being harassed for not leaving their house.
Now their rent a cops are starting to give us citations for stuff that is again none of their business! The first one was because our car was over the line into the other space, which is also OURS per our mortgage agreement! The second one now is because we hadn’t put our new tags on our car, which we did have, and they are less than a week expired. Even a real cop will let you off if you have them in your car. All of this is NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS! We are in our own parking space, not hurting anyone, we should be able to never leave the house if we don’t want to!
We have tried to talk to them and we get the runaround that the person is not there, etc. I got no response to an email where I was asking a question about how much I owed (you’d think they’d respond to get their money). We have had leaks that they were responsible for and they drag their feet and don’t fix drywall and paint back to their original condition.
They are also in violation for not having the proper size wheelchair ramps. When I was in a wheelchair there were maybe 2 ramps in the whole complex that would work. The others are so narrow the wheelchair doesn’t fit, and some are next to a parking space which makes it not usable if someone parks there (and it’s an assigned space), some go up to grass so if you got it up you can’t wheel it because it’s on grass. I really wanted to turn them in but I didn’t know who to contact.
This place is horrible and if they don’t stop harassing the disabled person, I will consider legal action.

The worst property management. Good luck trying to get a car permit. I asked for the person in charge and was told she wasn’t in. I talked with «Judy» who is very rude and unaccommodating. She tells me I have to drive to Yorba Linda to pick it up. Mind you my neighbors all picked up their permits at their residence. Unfortunately for me the day they disbursed the permits I was on vacation. I explained this to «Judy». Who couldn’t care less about my situation. I called the next day to speak to the women in charge but had to leave a voice mail. Called again the next day and was told she was sick. Interesting this was a holiday weekend. I don’t understand why they can’ mail the permit to me. I work 5 days a week how am I suppose to get the permit? Good luck dealing with this company for the amount paid monthly in HOA they should be more professional. I am sure they will be out of business soon with employees like Judy

StoneKastle staff is less than pleasant or professional to deal with on the day to day small issues. As a resident of a condo association, they are condescending, arrogant and very slow to return emails or phone calls. If you are looking for a management company that excels in customer service, they would be my last choice.

Wish there was negative star rating for this company.
Have been constantly calling and requesting them to cut-​down the tall trees part of the greenbelt. They admitted that they are responsible to cut them and or trim them so that they don’t become hazard during Santa Ana wind weather.
However, every time same excuse — «the trees will get hurt it we cut them right now so you will have to wait». I have been given empty promises over and over that landscape company will address the issue and they will put the task on their schedule.
Nothing has happened yet !! Hope this company will learn the lesson the hard way.

I reported a leak on 7÷23÷14 from sprinklers causing flooding and mud. Girl answering phone said I NEED to pinpoint the exact sprinkler before they could do anything. I pointed out that they have the ability to turn on sprinklers to find the problem. Following Monday I left for work at 4:45 am, slipped in mud and twisted my knee. I left messages and got no response. I had to call back. I spoke with the «VP». She said she told landscapers but nothing done. Landscaper came out and said he had notified her that it was HOA above us. I called «VP» back at 4:45 pm and got the answering service. REALLY??? The service said they work until 5:00 pm but have transferred their calls apparently. Yes apparently. Please note NO ONE contacted me during that week. I told «VP» that she needed some training in customer service. I work in Facilities. ANY problem reported to me that is a safety issue is responded to immediately. I also make sure everyone has done their job and I follow up with the person who reported the issue. «VP“s lackadaisical attitude caused personal injury to me. After a few calls I got a speech from «VP» how she had contacted HOA above us and would make sure they did the repair. Too bad this «VP» didn’t do her job to begin with. I missed the rest of the week, now have doctor bills. «VP“s flip remark was for me to just send her the insurance papers. I live in Fairmont Hill and pay $ 325.00 a month for this POOR service. Not sure how I will deal with this at this point. I’m tired of paying for NO SERVICE. Ms. VP you need to call yourself something else. VP’s get to where they are with experience. I think you gave yourself a title. OH and to note, there has been no customer service follow up to tell me the work has been completed. Wish me luck as I try once again to go to work on Monday using a cane.

We had a plumbing issue from shared pipes that were backing up. We called StoneKastle and asked them to send a plumber, since the issue is structurally shared plumbing, not a personal clog. They PROMPTLY called a plumber, sent him over (he was great) and told us that they would cover it. Pleasantly surprising — I thought all Management Companies’ first instinct is to deny, deny, deny, but they were accommodating and fair.
Things are looking up for StoneKastle…

We choose StoneKastle Management because of the people and their impeccable service. Our prior company was Action Property Management and literally they were stealing funds from us through fees, misc. charges, office administrative costs, and our monthly management fee. We were able to cut our management expenditures by more than half and have received excellent and timely service for our community needs. They deal well with the handful of those 2 – 3 neighbors that give HOA’s a bad name. Thanks for truly being a company that is relational with exceptional leadership — you are an industry leader.
