Sochi Nomoto is nisei — second generation Japanese and was born in the Bay area. She has lived in Orange County for over 30 years.
Sochi has studied o-cha since she was in college and has been teaching for over 10 years. Sochi is her ‘tea name’, given when she attained her teaching level.
