Reptile Island

Great place to stop in and get my crickets. They are a lot healthier than you would get at say Petco and my bearded dragon seems to like them more. Only 5¢ a cricket is a huge plus.
They have a lot of reptiles from different lizards to snakes, you name it they probably have it. It’s a small shop but has it all.
They’re always pretty helpful and happy when you go in too so I’ll be sure to keep going.

For the past year and a half I have been coming to this store, when it comes towards anything reptile, and I have to say it does not disappoint. I have purchased a snake here, I have purchased housing, bedding, food you name it; they have it all. First of all the staff is knowledgeable and friendly to make the experience easy going and as helpful as possible. If you are concerned, confused or curious just ask and they are more than happy to help out. Reptile Island has a variety of animals to take a look at and they have all you need when it comes towards food and the housing of your animals; on top of that the pricing is very fair compared to a lot of other retail stores. If you want an easy going and helpful experience with the ability to get what you need Reptile Island is exactly where you should go.

My fiancé and I love Reptile Island. We have been coming here for about 1.5 years. We love how helpful and friendly the staff is. I’m so glad my coworker recommended me to them. Tristan and Aaron are always so helpful and answer any and all questions we may have. We even bought a snake from them on Black Friday :) fair pricing and I like the attention we receive at a family owned establishment. I can’t bring myself to shop elsewhere. Keep up the hard work guys!

We’re fairly new to reptile ownership so it’s great that this business has everything one needs. Their herp knowledge is incredible – we always get great advice for the care of our wild-​caught king snake and Reptile Island-​bought veil chameleon. They have all the stuff you need too – including live feed like rats, mice, worms and crickets. Being open everyday for last minute pet food is much appreciated. Both beginners and advanced pet owners are treated with the same respect. It’s so nice having experts like them to buy from.

Super awesome experience! Called after the shop was closed they said that I could come by either way. When I got there, their Jr. reptile expert helped me out! Even though she was 11 she knew a lot, really passionate and cool! They all were really welcoming and helpful!

Great place close by. One of few that still sell live feed for snakes. Great customer service. Nice selection. Very knowledgable staff.

This is one of the better reptile stores I’ve visited. Definitely a go to store if you own a reptile. They are very helpful and informative! I go out of my way to give them my business :)

I’ll start off by saying that I am not a reptile expert and only went here because the reviews for The Reptile Zoo were awful.
It was a gloomy day and I was looking for something to do with my toddler. The Reptile Zoo sounded cool and I liked that you could apparently touch some of the animals and feed them. However, I decided not to go after reading reviews from people saying they overcrowded the animals and that they seemed miserable in the small enclosures. One reviewer suggested this place (Reptile Island) and all the reviews were much better.
Unfortunately, this was quite a depressing trip. When walking in, I saw stacks of little cages with animals looking miserable or close to death. Some were in small Tupperware containers which hardly seems comfortable. As you walk further inside, they had some larger enclosures but they didn’t seem very clean and the animals all looked sad. They seem to have a large variety of species and an over-​abundance of «stock» as there were several animals still in shipping crates stacked up in the front. The place is messy and feels like they need far more people working to clean the enclosures and get everything put away properly. I will not be returning.

This is a cool little shop which is a little hidden In a small business complex but still easy to find. Reptile Island has so much too choose from, from snakes, beardies, iguana, spiders, and insects. I went in looking for dubia roaches to feed to my bearded dragon and got a great amount for a reasonable price. The people who worked there were helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back if I’m in the area when I need more supplies!

Great staff and excellent service.
I’ve actually never been inside this reptile store but I’ve had the hubs take in my Diamondback Terrapins to be scrubbed of algae… about twice.
I called in the first time and spoke with a kind gentleman who understood my request and offered to help. I couldn’t clean and scrub the turtles myself because I had a bun in the oven at the time. I didn’t want to risk getting salmonella so I asked them kindly if they offered the cleaning service. They actually did not offer the service but was kind enough to still provide it to me because of my situation. They are so awesome for that.
I sent the hubs back a second time and they remembered him right away (hahaha). Again, they happily took care of our request even though they didn’t have the proper cleaning tool (toothbrush or a small scrub brush). They did suggest that to the hubby but he’s so big and clumsy, there is no way he would be able to clean and scrub those tiny Turts without dropping them (I can almost bet on it with real Benjamins). If you’re a turtle owner, the last thing you want is a turtle with a cracked shell.
Anyway, the staff here are just AMAZING GRACE!

FAN-​FREAKIN-​TASTIC!
I have two red eared sliders, and they have outgrown two aquariums in the couple years I have had them. It was time for a huge tank for my little Basil and Parsley, so they don’t have to get another new tank in another year.
We went into Reptile Island on a Saturday morning. They have a huge selection of reptiles, we spent awhile just checking out the animals before we looked at tanks. We were approached by Tristan, we told him what we were looking for, and he immediately showed us exactly what we wanted. The price was about what we were prepared to spend, so we were happy. We paid, loaded up the car, and off we went. Friendly, easy, quick transaction. If it had ended there, I would have given them 5 stars and said that I will go to them in the future for turtle supplies.
Fast forward about an hour. The old tank is emptied out and cleaned, Basil & Parsley are chilling in the backyard, soaking up the sun in their kiddie pool, and we are done putting the new tank together. I start to fill it. It starts leaking. Crap. I yell at my fiancé to grab towels, and I stop filling it and immediately start to drain it.
I call Tristan and tell him the tank is leaking. He felt really bad and said we should bring it back in and he will give us another one. He was really sorry for the inconvenience. That was fine, it wasn’t his fault. So we started taking all the rocks and everything out of the new tank to take it back to the store.
Then Tristan calls me. He spoke to his manager and they decided to upgrade us for free to a different tank that they felt would be better for us. But, that tank wouldn’t be available until Wednesday. So, to save us the hassle of putting the old aquarium back together for only five days, they offered to «babysit» our turtles until the tank was ready. How cool is that?
So, we took the tank back and the turtles went on their first vacation. On Wednesday I got a call from another employee letting me know that my tank was in. We went and picked up the new heavy duty aquarium and our turtles and brought them home. Yay, no leaks this time :)
Happy turtles, happy me. Excellent customer service from Reptile Island, they handled the situation so well and honestly went above and beyond by watching my turtles for me. I will definitely shop here in the future, and I highly recommend you do as well!

i’ve been coming here for several months now and i like it quite a bit. i’ve purchased several arachnids from here and they are doing awesome. i really like the staff. the first time i went in i immediately felt like friends with everyone. they know quite a bit about what they’re selling, however, always do your research beforehand when it comes to the species of whatever you’re getting considering they all need different conditions. but overall, i’d say they know what’s up.

Excellent business. Great service and feedback both in person and on Facebook. Both Chris and Josh are very responsive with questions and concerns for anyone buying, interested or caring for reptiles and tarantulas. Best service I’ve had from any pet store/​establishment.

I have been to the store multiple times. The staff and the owner are great. Although, it is meant for reptiles, there are other animals. I bought a feeder rabbit and kept him as a pet. He is still alive after 11 years.

The staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly. They answered every question I asked them in detail and I also learned a few new things about handling and taking care of snakes from them. They didn’t have any problems with letting me handle any of the snakes that they had. The staff was not trying to force me to buy anything, they had no problem with me walking around and handling and looking at their reptiles for as much as I wanted. BUT, this place does not have a big variety compared to their other stores especially the ones in Stanton and Rancho Cucamonga. They have a pretty decent collection of boas and colubrids but as far as for other reptiles go, this isn’t really the place to go for. The enclosures of the animals were poorly maintained as well.

I love this place. Come here to look and hold a bunch of snakes. Imma big snake fan. Luv the staff. Service is great. they should have some kinda air freshener though

Come here on a regular basis to get my ball python’s rat hopper since it’s close to my house. Really cool staff. Cages and reptile environments look cleaner and cleaner every time I go in. Great variety of reptiles and plenty of supplies. Always a chill dog to greet me at the entrance every time. Overall, very satisfied.

I’m not sure why I’ve seen some bad reviews. This place is awesome. I’ve never been let down. They always have what I need. The staff is extremely nice, informative and helpful. All I have are good recommendations. I added some pictures of my frogs and gecko that I bought at this store including cages and everything else!
