How lovely that they have Saturday appointments! Had a very positive experience, everyone was very thorough

We traveled from Montana to get my 3 year old daughter dental care at Westchester Family Dentistry. It was worth it, and we had a great experience.
My daughter had a cavity in one of her molars, and the pediatric dentist in our town wanted to put her under general anesthesia in the hospital O.R. in order to work in her mouth. I thought this was total overkill for a single cavity, and I did not want to subject my very young child to general anesthesia needlessly. There is a recent study in the medical journal «Pediatrics» that links general anesthesia in children under 4 to reduced gray matter, lower IQ scores, and poor language development. Google it and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Needless to say, we were not cool with this, and we had to find an alternative.
We decided to get my daughter’s tooth fixed while on vacation on the east coast. When we arrived at the office, a dental assistant brought us back to a room and seated my daughter in the chair. She was very friendly and she put my daughter at ease. Dr. Amy then came in and examined the tooth in question. She had a fantastic chairside manner, and my daughter was completely comfortable while she examined her mouth. She even put on Disney songs in the background, and my daughter loved that. Dr. Amy then explained to me that the cavity appeared to be quite deep, but that there should not be any problems with the procedure. At that point, Dr. Stanley came in and also had a look. He agreed that the cavity was deep, but probably would not pose a problem. He then administered gas to help my daughter relax during the procedure, and explained to me what he would be doing.
During the procedure, both doctors worked in my daughter’s mouth. Dr. Stanley did the drilling and Dr. Amy assisted with water, suction, and with keeping my daughter’s tiny mouth open. Dr. Stanley concentrated on the very delicate work he needed to do while Dr. Amy talked to my daughter, keeping her calm and telling her what a good job she was doing. The dental assistant was also present, assisting with the curing light, and I was blown away by the fact that three people were working on my little girl at the same time, taking the utmost care of her while also putting her at ease. Dr. Stanley explained to me the different tools he was using and why he was using them, and I could tell that he is a practitioner who takes pride in his work and stays current with the latest techniques and procedures.
The procedure was a great success. My daughter’s tooth is fixed, and we did not have to subject her to the risks associated with general anesthesia in young children. Dr. Stanley and Dr. Amy are phenomenal dentists, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. They care deeply about their patients, and both of them were quite surprised that the pediatric dentist back home would want to use general anesthesia on my daughter for something as simple as a cavity repair. I felt comfortable putting my little girl in their hands, and she felt comfortable as well.
Would I travel from Montana again to get dental care at Westchester Family Dentistry? Absolutely!

I had a great experience at this dental office. Upon entering I was greeted very politely. I was ½ hr early but was seen immediately. Dr Stanley ask may questions abt my oral health and medical history. He was very through. He was very receptive and responsive to my questions. He was very gentle in my mouth but still aggressive with my cleaning. He told me my mouth was in pretty good shape except for my neglect with my braces.
I would recommend Westchester Family Dentistry to every and anyone. Awesome service through and through.

Amazing dentist! Dr. Stanley & Dr. Amy are wonderful. I am always relaxed & at ease when I know it’s time to head to the dentist. They are highly intelligent, so professional & kind. They make you feel so comfortable. You feel as though they are part of the family. I love how they communicate with you and let you in on everything. The office is super-​clean and nice. The best dentist. High recommend them.

Dr. Stanley Shih, was the upmost professional! He answered our emergency call, during this past snow storm. My husband was in so much pain, not knowing what was the exact problem, he agreed to meet him at his office. Dr. Shih greeted us with a smile, at 9 pm. He made us feel comfortable, not at anytime did he make us feel like we were burdening him. He took care of the problem right away. And on top of great service, he was fair and reasonable in his fee. I will definatly return with my whole family. By the way, my husband feels so much better!

Amazing. Imagine your ideal dentist then double that, because there are two amazing dentists here. DR. Shih and Dr. Shih are friendly, knowledgeable, and take the fear out of dentistry.
The old sang love what you do and you will never work a day in your life must apply to these two. They treat their staff and patients with a level of care and respect that is refreshing. They take the time to make sure all of your needs are met and that you are comfortable throughout your visit. I’ve never had «fun» at a dental visit before I found Westchester Family Dentistry.
They have gone out of their way to accommodate my busy schedule, and even met me on a HOLIDAY in a time of crisis. I had to rush to a hearing and they fit me in and did a masterful job. My bite has never felt better. The cleaning I received was amazing. Every time I walk in scared and leave laughing and better off.
I would recommend you stop by and see for yourself how amazing both doctors are. I finally am not afraid of the dentist, I just wish I had met them sooner in my dental life.

I have been to a couple different practices in the greater NYC area and this was by far my best experience! The staff friendliness and professionalism, lack of wait time, cleanliness of the facility, and quality dental care were exceptional and I will definitely return for my check-​ups in the future.
No wait time: I have had to wait at other practices, but at Westchester Family Dentistry, there was no wait.
Friendliness and Professionalism of Staff Members: The staff members working in the reception area were very friendly and supported me in figuring out my insurance as I had forgotten my insurance card. They called my husband to get my insurance information, called the insurance company to verify the information, and were patient with me. At the end of my visit, they made sure I had a «gift-​pack» with a toothbrush, coupons for dental care items, etc. Finally, they personally greeted me upon arrival and gave me a personal farewell upon departure.
Cleanliness of Facility: While the building is a bit older, the office was significantly well-​taken care of, clean, and had beautiful, unique art work on the walls. Also, there were «high-​tech» additions, such as ipads to watch while having your teeth cleaned and all dental records saved via computer. Furthermore, my x-​rays were also saved and viewed via computer in «real-​time.»
Quality of Dental Care: I had been worried that a filling had fallen out, which was the main purpose for my visit besides a cleaning. Dr. Shih verified the status of all my fillings, as a new patient in their clinic, and did a thorough cleaning. He also gave me advice about what to expect for my dental care needs as I will soon be living abroad and steps I could take for preventative dental care as I will only have annual access for dental check-​ups vs. biannual access. Thus, the professionalism, quality of care, and extra advice provided exceeded my dental needs at this time and contributed to an overall exceptional visit.
I would recommend Westchester Family Dentistry to anyone seeking personal, quality-​care from friendly staff members and dentists in a clean, well-​maintained facility.
