Founded in 2007, we are experienced in moving, furniture delivery, Sofa Disassembly, Junk removal/Haulaway and will do everything we can to meet your expectations. History

Established in 2010.

SETD Moving & Services started as SETDelivery and a man with a mini-van. Now in present time, we have a van and a box truck working the deliveries, mini-moves, sofa disassemblies, and haul aways. We keep expanding by re-investing our profits back into the business; keeping us up to date with tools that help us with everyday activities. We move your stuff as if it was ours, and take full responsibility of everything. Which has made us Yonkers Best Moving & Delivery Company Three years in a row.

Jay has been with SETD Services already for 7yrs, he is also a licensed pesticide applicator so, no need to worry about Bed Bugs in his trucks. He inspects every piece of furniture that goes into the truck. Jay is also proficient in taking sofa’s apart and putting them back together. He is a tenacious and self motivated individual who is experienced in moving furniture.

Called SETD last minute after a conflict with our prior disposal service. Jay already had a business day, but made himself available, researched waste disposal hours, and showed up in 2-hours. Oh, and he finished moving our living room in less than hour by himself. I’d definitely recommend this organization. Plus, the price was reasonable.

Set delivery did an amazing job with my move! I had a bit of a hiccup with my move since I had a bit of and insect problem but Set Delivery has a licensed exterminator on staff that was able to resolve this issue for me immediately! They were also very professional and polite. I highly recommend this moving service.

I used SETDelivery twice and both times was very satisfied. First time was when I was moving my family of four during a snowstorm last year. Jay and his crew were all very professional and although the move took twice as long to complete due to the weather and building restrictions, SETDelivery did not charge me more. They completed the job very well. The second time I worked with SETDelivery is when I recommended them to a client of mine who needed to move their family member. I worked with Jay and his crew side by side making sure that everything is done on a timely manner and delivered without any damage. The beautiful thing was that we completed the entire task without a client even being there. They even moved some items to the storage room after the move. As a professional organizer I love finding and partnering up with hard working, reliable, and professional businesses and SETDelivery definitely delivered an exceptional service.

I recently used the Set Delivery moving service for the second time, what a mistake!
After the first move the owner called a week later apologizing for not being prepared for such a move and promised if we ever needed his service again that things would be better. Yeah right!
The owner/operator, Jay changed the actual moving date stating that he had a block of free time in his schedule and wanted to move just a few items. A few items turned
into what seemed to be a real move. His movers started grabbing things without asking creating a chaotic situation. The day of the actual scheduled move, the movers arrived hours later than the agreed upon time. One of the worker was totally
intoxicated and when the owner realized this he did send the guy to watch the truck with my belongings. They also left behind items that were heavy and when made aware of this fact the following day he chose to ignore my messages. He was paid in full and with cash for which he claimed not to have a receipt book.
P. S. Your very welcome for the review… Don’t take it personal, this is business and you did not lend me a helping hand, I paid you and may I remind you I still did not get a receipt.

Super happy with SET. Jay and Keith (I hope I am remembering his name correctly, the move was over about a month ago) were friendly, patient and professional. They asked me where every single box should go. They waited while I figured out where the furniture should be placed. My floors were redone before I moved in and they did not leave one scratch. They did not scratch any furniture. I would recommend them to my closest friends. 100% if I move again or need to move something, I will call them. By the way, they called to let me know they could start earlier than scheduled = awesome!
No hidden fees. And affordable.

Jay and his team are phenomenal. I’ve used Jay about 5 times already to move random items from point A to point B. Last month, I used him and his team to move out of my 1 BR. As usual, he is on time. His team was very professional and got the job done very efficiently. They worked quickly and were very polite. Since I’ve used him so many times in the past, I didn’t bother getting any other quotes. Jay knows he always has my business. Jay and his movers helped me move twice. Once from my apartment to a storage space. The next time, a few months later, from the storage place to a new condo I had just closed on.
The crew is very efficient and punctual. Given the amount of stuff I had, I was surprised to see that they moved me in under 3 hours. They did the move systematically and methodically and have their tools to carry different things like mattresses or electronics. They also bubble wrapped some of my more fragile items (I had to provide the bubble wrap though). Jay also gave me a flat rate for my second move so that I didn’t need to sweat on the number of hours being consumed. I’m glad I found them through a LivingSocial voucher. Oh, and they even fixed a flaky Ikea table for me in the process — no charge.
The other big positive about Jay is that he was willing to deal with both my apartment and my condo board, and furnish copies of his insurance each time so that everything was done above board.
I would say that SET Delivery is a tad on the expensive side, but given that I saved myself several days of backbreaking work, I’m not complaining.

I’ve never written a poor review on Unilocal but I’m glad I saved it for this individual. Everything started out reasonable. Changed time slightly which wasn’t a big deal. Took a little longer than I expected which was okay. They worked hard so I gave them a really big tip.
Then my TV didn’t work when I unpacked. When I told Set Delivery he effectively said tough luck. I can’t prove it worked in the first place. What a scam! These guys are the extreme scum of the moving industry — given there are tons of options in and around the city, I couldn’t recommend stronger to pick someone else.

Jay came with a truck and 2 guys. They made an appointment and were prompt in their timings and delivery. I moved from a 1^st floor to a 4^th floor (walk-up) on a snowy day and they efficiently moved all my furniture with no complaints. They were friendly, nice and took a lot of trouble to do it right. All glass pieces were well wrapped during the move, mattress completely covered and they especially wrapped delicate fragile articles accurately.
I appreciate the fact that they provided a receipt, insurance certificate and charged exactly how they quoted. My husband and I had no issues dealing with them and we would highly recommend their services.
