History

Established in 1985.

Previously located in the Pearle Express Building on Central Park Ave, Yonkers. We relocated our optometric practice to our own independent location at 1765 Central Park Ave, Yonkers, 10 710 in 2013. The outstanding care and service we provide is now also available to our patients in our eyewear boutique, for one-​stop complete vision care.

Business Owner

Dr. Mark Grisar, OD has served the community of Yonkers for over 28 years, first in the Pearle Express Building on Central Park Avenue, and now in his own new offices in the Highridge Plaza in Yonkers. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Binghamton University and graduated Beta Sigma Kapa honor society from SUNY State College of Optometry. He Is a member of TLC’s Advisory Board, and a member of OneSight which travels around the world providing eye care in underserved areas.

Dr. Grisar lives in Westchester, NY with his wife and 2 grown kids.

His hobbies include tennis and dramatic writing.

Dr. Sergio Marano, OD also has served the community for over 28 years, first in the Pearle Express Building and now in his own offices. He graduated with honors from Brooklyn College and SUNY State College of Optometry. He has been a member of the AOA for over 20 years.

Dr. Marano lives in Westchester with his wife and 2 daughters. His hobbies include cardio training, nature hiking and theater.

I have been going to Dr. Marano for over 30 years. I trust no one else with my eyes.
He is professional and caring and never tries to rush you off because the waiting room is full.
I respect his work and do recommend him to my family and friends. Their new location is easy to get to and plenty of parking.

Mark Grisar has been our family’s eye Dr. for almost 10 years, and I would HIGHLY recommend him. He takes time with me to explain things and I have felt grateful for his expertise when considering options for using lenses together with glasses. Recently he has incorporated a selection of frames, and while I normally purchase frames from trendy «hipster» salons in the city and Europe where the selection is more interesting, I bought a new pair of glasses last time I visited, and found the selection sophisticated and well-​made. I like that they have designer fashions coupled with emerging made in America designs. Last time I visited, just to pick up the glasses, Mark was off and I met with his partner because I had scracthed one eye and it was irritated. Mark’s partner (I forgot his name) was very gracious and helpful and gave me some TLC & soothing eyedrops.

I really appreciate their Saturday hours so I don’t need to take time away from work. In making the appoitment the team was fast and friendly and they gave the same effort upon check-​in.
Dr Grisar was very friendly. This was the third time for me being in his office since last summer. I think he is a great doctor and very concerned about the work he does. It was a random selection when i first called for an appoitment during last summer. After performing the necessary tests he found out that there was a high risk of retinal detachment on my right eye. He sugested that I call Dr. Steven Bodine asap. Dr. Bodine performed a laser eye surgery and saved my eye. Now I noticed some floaters on my left eye. Dr Grisar is keeping my eye under cotrol and I’m not scared like i was on the first time. I know I’m on good hands. I think it’s great to have such a great service closed to home.

I would travel across the country to follow Dr. Grisar. Been a patient for many years and wouldn’t trust my eyes to anyone else. He never gives up trying to find the best solution for me and has the patience of Job. Always knowledgable, caring and unparalleled in his field.
