This was my favorite place up until when they changed their name. My family has been coming here for over 19 years and service was great the food was great and now it’s horrendous. Waiting ten minutes for a plate and a glass of water when there are only two other tables in here. The portions are smaller and the prices went up. The food is more bland and the employees are unfriendly. This is the last time I am coming back here.

Good fresh food, awesome miso soup, however the service was a little off for me. Fun place to go and try something new.

I have been coming to this restaurant back when it was known as Aria. Though the name has changed over the years, the food and service has always brought me back. Now that I live upstate, i do not go as often, but when I am in town I try to make a stop. This past weekend, after visiting family I decided to stop. I wasn’t very hungry since I had a late lunch but my daughter begged me since she also loves this place. I figured I would get an appetizer and she can get a BBQ entrée, since she enjoys cooking her meal on the table top grill. We sat at the table and my daughter ordered her meal and I just ordered an appetizer. The server told me that they were going to cook my daughter’s dish in the kitchen. I asked why we cannot have it cooked on the table grill. Her response is that you need to order at least two entrees to have it cooked on the grill. WTF??? This must be a new policy since in the past we were able to use the grill with only one entrée ordered. So I had to order an entrée… so a $ 50 minimum to cook at your table? Really??? This really turned me off to the place. They definitely overcharge on the BBQ entrees, the servings are skimpier than before. I gave the three stars because the food is good. As for everything else it was ok. Service is lackluster, prices are exorbitant for what you get for the BBQ entrees. I don’t know if I will come back. It is a shame, since it was one of my favorite dining spots on Central Avenue.

I’ve been coming here for almost four years. My children had their first taste of Korean here and this was where I ordered from hours before I went into labor with my daughter. But after today’s visit, I won’t be returning. The staff of kind waitresses that I grew accustomed to who were always so friendly and helpful are nowhere to be found. They’ve been replaced by new staff who apparently have no interest in waiting on you unless you’re Korean. I never think that way, but it’s an unmistakable atmosphere. I saw my waiter three times … *Once to take my order — I asked about the Duk Bbak, which he said was spicy. I asked if they could make it less spicy. No, he said. I can’t eat any meat this week, I told him. You won’t like the Duk Bbak, he said. I told him I usually order Kimchi Bok Eeum(pork belly, kimchi and tofu). Could you give me vegetables instead of pork? Yes, he said. *Once to drop off my food — My meal comes and the dish is just a lot of kimchi and tofu, no vegetables as ordered. Fine, it was still good. *Once to drop off the check, after I spent at least ten minutes waiting for someone to look at me so I could ask for the check. I’m charged $ 5 for a miso soup and $ 25 for my lunch. I don’t remember it being that much but the waiter shows me the menu. «But I only got kimchi and tofu, it’s still the same price?» A firm yes is his response. Sorry, but it’s bad enough to get ignored and overcharged in separated dining experiences, let alone in one trip. I love Korean but they just lost a client.

First the octopus noodles dish was like eating rubber. We paid 20+ dollars just to eat few pieces of noodles. Their sauce was watery and no favor at all. The second dish was the grilled fish and that was the only thing that was eatable. It was pretty good and fresh. They charged us 4 dollars for a cup of tea. Overall it was okay since they are in the Yonkers, but they won’t last if their location was Manhattan or Queens.

Wow. Best Kalbi ever. Ever. Wow. It is truly out of this world. The other dishes we had were also very good: seafood pancake, soondubu soup, and more. But the Kalbi was the star. Incredibly tender and full of flavor

This place is not what it used to be. Before the name change, you got more for your money. Now they skimp on the extras, the BBQ is overpriced and the service sucks! I’ll have to find another Korean BBQ in Westchester or just go into the city.

This is the first time I have ever went and tried Korean bbq so I don’t have much to compare all this to. Me and my wife decided to try this place because I saw a program about Korean bbq on the food network so we decided to go on a Friday night. Surprisingly enough the place was not full we went there around 6 and were seated very quickly. I told the waitress this was our first time coming to Korean bbq and she told us to try the clear noodle as an appetizer and it was amazing had a nice smokey taste to it and we loved it. The waitress suggested for us to have the short rib and chicken and we took her advice one again. The chicken was tasty but the beef was superb it was so tender and the best part of the whole meal is all the side dishes that you can mix and match with your meal all the while the waitress comes around and and sautéed the meat infront of our eyes. For dessert we had the red bean ice cream I really wished they offered fried ice cream though or fried cheese cake but it isn’t a big deal. Overall me and my wife really enjoyed this place if someone gave the place a bad rating I really don’t know they must be uptight or something.

We go here monthly with 2 children. The food is always delicious, the meat is incredibly fresh. The service is great. It’s pretty expensive, that’s the only complaint I have.

Food was good(nothing special though compared to other Korean BBQs) and they kind of cheap out on the beef. Service was good also; however, as soon as someone at the table asks for water and they only bring one glass that’s a red flag for me, so taking off one star for that. There were some flies wondering around and I’d say another star goes out the window? The atmosphere and ambiance was good(tip for the owner though you might want to invest in renovating the bathrooms, just saying). Lastly, the bill ohhhh the bill. This place was wayyyyy to expensive due to all of the above. Oh did you see that? That was another star storming out! So, all in all if you want decent overpriced Korean BBQ with questionable customer service then this is your place!

I give this place a 3 Food was pretty good. Price was decent. We went in for lunch and it was pretty empty. Servers were kind. Food: nengmyun(cold noodles) — pretty good. but not amazing. the broth could have been better galbi — kinda disappointing. galbi is always good, but this was a little subpar. a little dry and they give you like 5 pieces(for lunch special) wat. soondubu(soft tofu) soup — this just tasted bad… or like nothing. you can taste the spiciness but no flavor. disappointing. jeyook bokkeum(spicy pork) — delicious. well made nakji bokkeum(spicy squid) — delicious but they give you only like 5 pieces of squid and the rest is veggies. wat. side dishes: these were good. large variety. kimchi was on point that day Good korean food. but not the best. I wouldn’t mind going back but i’d rather try a new place

Authentic korean cuisine. I have been going to this place for years and it has never disappointed me. The food service is great, the quality of food is outstanding and the menu holds so many options that I always find myself trying something new. Eating here your not only eating delicious korean food but also experiencing the beauty and respect of korean culture.

I haven’t had Korean food since I was a little kid. We came here for lunch. We had the grilled mackerel and the bul go gi bim bao and both were great. They give you 5 little dishes to eat before the food arrives and the food arrives quickly. The 5 little dishes were various vegetables: eggplant, kim chi, broccoli, beets and bean sprouts. The bim bao bowl was hot from the time I got it to the time I finished. My rice at the bottom burned because it kept cooking in the hot bowl. The music though needs to be turned down. It was loud.

We were on the way to the other Korean restaurant in the area, but we found this before we got to the other one. Yes, we were extremely hungry. Decided to stop by and get to the food quicker. Boy, we were very happy about our decision. Very good selection of Ban Chan, side dishes. Marinated Squid was nice and spicy and tender. Bibim Bap was just perfect. We will visit this place again, and try their BBQ.

I really LOVE Korean food but his place just plain sucks. It was really the service, not the food. If my waitress had been anymore frigid she would be related to the Ice Queen. After ordering i had to ask someone else for water twice, and another waitress notices that we hadn’t received the complimentary mini dishes you get with every meal, so brought us some. We were already halfway through our meal at this point. What was my waitress doing? Absolutely nothing. The other waitresses sorted out my bill and packed up my food. If I could’ve I would’ve given my tip to them. I have been here before and the service wasn’t bad. Guess I got the dud of the day. Dunno why people are complaining about the prices. Any Korean restaurant you go to will have similar prices. It doesn’t matter that we aren’t in manhattan. Thats just the way it is EVERYWHERE. I don’t think i will return to this place ever again. I ordered the seafood hamul pajun and my son wanted some sushi. Food was ok, although the dipping sauce for my pajun was terrible and NOT what i am usually served elsewhere when i order the same dish. It was essentially basic soy sauce with scallions in it. Sauce should be a bit sweet, not overly salty.

A solid choice for Korean food if you don’t want to trek into NJ, Manhattan, or Queens. I mean c’mon you have very limited choices in Westchester. You cannot compare this place to other Korean establishments outside of Westchester or you will be disappointed. However compared to other Korean restaurants in the upstate area, this place is solid. The bbq is solid, the nengmyun is okay, but I like the option of the smaller bowl. Their gopdol bibimbap is solid, and their new item wookuhji kalbitang is yummy. I def wouldn’t mind ordering that again. Yes it is on the pricey side, but all Korean restaurants are pricey. You just get more bang for your buck in NJ. However, this is Westchester, so you may consider this a slightly mark-up, but it is slightly. If you go to NYC and order the same food, the price will be similar.

The food was good. Very authentic. But it is priced a little high. I saw that people had written than on their reviews but we really had this urge for Korean food so we went anyway. We ordered the beef bulgogi, which was $ 26! I thought maybe the dish would be bigger, and maybe I’d take home some left overs. It was small. If my fiancé was hungrier he would’ve been able to finish that whole thing. The dish is good enough for two people. It was good, but the meat was a little over cooked. We also ordered the bibimbap. It was $ 17. A little steep for rice. It had the equivalent of about 2 cups of rice in a hot stone bowl. It was good, but way too pricey for rice. They say all the side dishes make it worth it. I would have to disagree. I’ve been to Korean restaurants where the side dishes were things like pajeon, and small dried fish — you know, more substantial stuff. On the side dishes were: broccoli, celery cabbage like stuff. Again, all tasted good, but the ingredients didn’t really make it worth it. They give free barley tea. Again very authentic. We also ordered one roll of spicy tuna. Not Korean at all. It was good. Fresh tuna, and the roll was rolled with just the right amount of rice. So three stars because it was a good experience. Took away two because it really is a bit pricey. I mean, this isn’t Manhattan right? It’s a strip mall. Service was average. Ambience was ok. It was clean. Menu was clean. Someone mentioned that on their review. I’m into clean menus too.

Just left here with my husband. It was good, the mushrooms we bbqed were fantastic fresh and just perfect. The sake tasted better than I have had too. It just hit the spot tonight. One of my pet peeves is when a menu is grimey. Let me tell you, these were the cleanest menus I touched.ever. We got a lot of side dishes which were complimentary, you leave very full. It’s a tad expensive, BUT maybe Bc I ordered a large sake two beers two BBQ entres and a soup entre… lol

Probably the biggest transition we had to overcome moving from Manhattan to Westchester was the lack of ethnic restaurants. Over the course of a given week in the city, I could have Cambodian, Russian, Palestinian and Nepalese food without blinking an eye … here, not so much. So I was really excited to discover a Korean restaurant on(of all places) Central Ave. I have already fallen in love with staple dishes there, so I can’t speak to a wide array of their offerings. But the Pa Jun(scallion pancakes) are amazing — seafood, plain, kimchi, doesn’t matter — hell, get all of ‘em! I also credit Korea Garden with my newfound love of kimchi and tofu … their Kimchi Bok Eum is my absolute favorite dish(kimchi, pan fried sliced pork belly and tofu served with rice on the side). If you’re anxious about taking the leap to Korean food, fear not … they have a very impressive Japanese menu, too. The lunch specials are very reasonable and though the prices on the regular menu might seem a little steep, you get a TON of food(both in the entrees themselves, and in the complimentary side dishes, which are replenished upon request) I’ve been there enough times to meet most of the staff and they are consistently friendly and accommodating, especially with my little guy. They often bring him food that he likes without additional charge and come by to talk to him. Admittedly, I never had the opportunity to visit when this place was Kang Suh, but I can’t imagine it was much better than Korea Garden.
