I give this place 2 start based on the music only. It was a good mix of hip hop and Spanish. This is one of the only places in Yonkers that serves hookah in a lounge setting. However they charge 10 dollars for one charcoal replacement. I have never been to a place that does that and it’s pretty ridiculous. Technically I can buy a whole box of charcoals for 10 dollars. I know businesses need to profit but jeez that turned me off from ever going back to this place again.

Duos. after receiving a personal invitation from DJ Serg & guest DJ, I was advised to check in my coat. After standing on line, just as I got up to the front I was told there’s no more room. So as I was walking away, I was being yelled at by the owner of the place, saying, «This is my place it’s mandatory coat check!» Even the bouncer & two of his employees stood up for me stating the same. He walked away, no apology no nothing. Very rude & disrespectful, mind you I had to hold my coat for most of the night. Place was over crowded & definitely broke the Fire safetly law.

I went here on a Friday night with a friend of mine. We just previously went to another bar in Yonkers that was terrible. When we arrived, we were greeted by security and a hostess. My friend and I didn’t appreciate that they had a mandatory coat check. If you don’t want to check your coat you shouldn’t be forced to check it in. I understand that they are trying to make their money and also not crowd the lounge with coats, but it was a little annoying. Next on the list, the bar and the lounge were basically empty. It was a Friday night which was very confusing to both of us because we are used to NYC bars not being vacant around 11pm. It was just odd and made the entire experience a bit awkward. Don’t get me wrong, there were a few people in there when we arrived and a bit more that came later, but not as exciting as one would hope. If you want to be there when the crowd is there, make sure you go there earlier than 9pm. Because of my love of potatoes, I ordered a side of french fries and they were great. They have a nice selection of foods on their menu, but just make sure you order before 12am because their kitchen is closes around that time. I think the overall best part about my experience here were the bartenders. They were extremely friendly and charismatic. I think that usually does it for me in terms of great customer service. One bartender in particular, and his name was Chris. He was incredibly helpful with taking are orders and he even helped out my friend when some creepy drunk guy was trying to flirt with her. He kept both me and my friend company the whole night. So the drinks and the food are great. The overall ambiance is nice, but I just think that the kinds of people that come to party there aren’t the best. And if you want to party with a crowd of people get there earlier. Also, they should get rid of that mandatory coat check because it’s a bit aggressive. But I would definitely come here again for the bartenders!

I went here this past January to celebrate my birthday. I choose this place because I’ve been there for other occasion and enjoyed myself. The place is nice and they play nice music. I didn’t taste the food so I cant comment on it. I would have definitely gave the place a 5 if I would have paid the price I was promised. I spoke to the owner prior to my birthday party and we agree on a set price for the things that I wanted($ 550) then he asked me to leave a deposit to hold my spot($ 100). The day of my party I arrived and I gave him my card to pay for my package and the owner stated if I don’t pay in cash he has to charge me taxes(which was never mention in our previous conversations) so he said that with taxes it would come up to $ 700. I didn’t argue because it was my birthday and I just wanted everyone at my party to enjoy themselves so I handed over the card. They never deduced the $ 100 that I left as a deposit and when I called the owner 2 days later he said he would get back to me. needless to say I’m still waiting for that call back. so the point of my story is I agreed to pay $ 550 however I ended up paying $ 800. I liked the place but I will never spend another dollar in there.

Don’t listen to the out-dated reviews! Living in lower Westchester, I’ve grown bored and tired of White Plains being the«hang out» spot for drinks and a good time. I was planning a last minute get-together with my friends for my birthday and decided to give Duo a try(despite the mixed Unilocal reviews) and THANKGOD that I did! First off, the décor is very nice! Dress to impress! I reserved a couch upstairs which was less crowed(fine by me, since I came with my party and had no intention of mingling). I didn’t see downstairs but from what my friend told me, she arrived early, was that it had an older crowd. We’re in our early 30’s so I vote we take over this joint! Lol! The music was great! A nice mix! And the food was amazing! The VIP treatment was on point too! We started with two pitchers of Sangria, later in the evening we had beef empanadas, chicharon de pollo, and cuban sliders… my friends and I loved it all! We also got a hookah and the recommended flavor of watermelon mint! So good! Ian and his business partner(so sorry I can’t remember his name) were so nice! Actually their entire staff was really nice, Tom the manager came by a couple times to ask how we were doing, Elvis the DJ did also. Did I mention we were given complementary shots? Yep! Definitely giving 5 stars! I say Duo has great potential for being a hot spot in Westchester, it just needs more people to give it a try like I did. Hopefully a nice 25 to 40 crowd! Lol!

Nice spot, but it seems that many people don’t know about the place. Aside from my fiancé and I, there were like 2 other people. The food isn’t bad but nothing grand. Overall it’s a nice quiet place to come and catch up with friends.

I brought a groupon coupon for a really good price. I went an they didnt have 75% of the items on the menu, me and my boyfriend were incredible disappointed. We sat at the bar with one other older gentleman and the rest of the restaurant was empty. I gave the waiter/bartender our groupon and he gave us our food and then he disappeared. So we didnt bother to leave a tip and just left when we were done with our food. As for the food it was ok, not something i would crave.

We were excited to use our groupon but then were told that the«management» has stated that, because Groupon has not«paid them» yet, that we needed a printed voucher, when on the app itself it states that we can use the phone to redeem our Groupon. Btw, come to find out, the waiter, who was blaming«management» was actually the owner himself. The waiter refused to take our Groupon, which was a violation of Groupons rules. Also very rude, small tapas menu. Will definitely not go back there.

Lounge Review ONLY There are no great lounges in Yonkers, but this one is pretty nice… plus you don’t have to go all the way to Manhattan to party! My friend celebrated a birthday here. Very accommodating place. Clean, well-decorated, drinks were good and reasonably priced, nice mixed crowd all dressed appropriately. There seemed to be a couple birthday parties and everyone looked happy. No complaints here. I might even consider doing my own birthday party here… Not ghetto, not rowdy, not overly packed, not expensive and very close to home. Who could complain?

The Best Burger I have Ever, Ever had!!! The food is awesome and the drinks are wonderful. I highly recommend the mojitos, I drink em down. Oh and they have this über cool,(no pun intended), sub-zero beer tap that keeps your draft at the absolute perfect temp. Sweet. Everything is fairly reasonable. It’s beautiful, clean and unique. Plenty of TV screens. The ideal place I think of when I want to meet up with just about anybody. I’ve had their wings, tostones, nachos and empanadas and it’s not unusual for me to order seconds. Mac and cheese is off the hook. The zeppoles steal the show for me, and I’m someone that hates fried dough. Comes served with powdered sugar, nutella and strawberry sauce. Honestly it’s worth it to come in just for that. This is a very unique, chill spot but very simple. Glamour divas please go elsewhere.

Nice decoration — food is good — bar food nothing special — I went on a Friday with my sister; place was empty around 7pm and cold apparently they don’t turn on the heat until 10 pm which is also the time the DJ comes in– so you sit in silence cause they don’t play music unless you pay for it yourself in the jukebox — What happen to the time when bars had music? seriously… it’s a bar!!!

We had our office holiday party there Thursday night and it was wonderful. Beautiful ambience, great bar and the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. When the server learned that a colleague and I are vegetarian/vegan, the owner immediately came over to us, asked what he could get for us, and then kept bringing us all sorts of delicious vegetarian tapas. Everyone in our large group had a great time. It is a club that can certainly compete with Manhattan places ;-)… in fact, I wish it was in Manhattan so I could get there more easily!

I was dragged here this weekend by one of my friends to watch the fight. As we were parking, we were approached by a crackhead on a mission. This minor encounter set the stage for the night. The place itself is very nicely decorated. As you enter, they have several decent sized tables. To your left, is the bar which has three large screen tvs so you can view different games in progress. On the right, are a few couches with very tiny tables. On that same side towards the end, is the last large screen tv. As I walked in, all I heard was this melodramatic music. The kind you play as you contemplate suicide because of a broken relationship. Eventually, this was replaced with 70s music which again was not my style. After a few rounds of these songs, then came the old school reggaeton… remember Gasolina? As H.D. mentions, this is played at the highest volume possible. You literally have to grab an ear in order to be heard. The clientele was mainly off duty cops or wanna be mafia men. Several groupie women were lurking around… the kind that desperately try to hang on to whatever youth they still had. This crowd was definitely in their mid 40s or older. I ended up feeling like a kid amongst them. The food requires a serious upgrade or a more capable chef. We ordered empanadas which were LADEN with grease. I ordered three drinks but didn’t even catch a buzz. This was due to the more than ample ice provided for the tiny cup that it was served with. The staff was friendly and ensured we didn’t end up with a mile high pile of garbage on our micro tables. I ended up leaving early because my stomach was unable to handle the super greasy empanadas. To say this place is in the realm of a tapas spot would be a very long stretch. This is the kind of bar that you would drop by after work for a quick drink and a look at the scores… that is if you work as a cop or in «construction» for a living.

We were at Duo over the weekend. The service was outstanding, the food was great and the place is really nicely decorated. It was a great evening. All food is served tapas style/size we enjoyed the Empanadas and Skirt Steak with rice/beans on the side. Sangria was delicious and so were the Mojitos(several varieties too). We plan to return soon with our friends we know they would like Duo as much as we did.

I was so happy to see that a tapas place would be opening in my neighborhood. We went there on a Friday evening to try it out(hoping for tasty tapas). Their menu is very small and consists more of bar food then tapas. They have wings, sliders, pot stickers, nachos, etc. The only thing that was in the tapas realm was empanadas. Everything was fried and we left feeling very greasy. The staff was very pleasant. This could be a decent place to watch a football game(they have a few tv’s) but not a tapas place at all.
