Me and my girls had a great experience here. They didn’t have the original dress I was looking for the bridesmaids but she found me a number of similar styles and after I did some more research she had 3 more styles I picked out from the Bill Levkoff website. Maria was extremely accommodating, sweet and knowledgeable. It was explained to me and my girls that they all needed to have their measurements and deposits in by the deadline date set so that the dresses could be ordered together with an ample amount of time. We were told it would range between 2 – 3 months for them to come (ordered in mid January, dresses arrived mid April) — everyone is thrilled with the dresses and service they received! I am going in two weeks for my wedding gown fitting because the shop I bought my dress from (Fontanas) closed due to bankruptcy. They were happy to help me find a day and time that worked best for me — I am thrilled with the service they provide!

If you want to experience a beautiful day with your bridesmaids that you’ll never forget… DO NOT COME HERE!
Horrible customer service! As soon as we walked in, we waited by the door for a few to be helped while Maria and her staff were busy helping others. No hello or we’ll be right with you. After she’s done she showed us the dresses. As we were all trying on dresses and enjoying ourselves, she tells me to put my phone away because we are not allowed to take pictures. Fine, another bridesmaid (who did not hear her tell me to put it away) takes her phone out to capture a few memories for the bride. Her coworker tells her a cellphone is out, she rudely tells the bridesmaid to put her phone away and walks back to her co-​worker and said I told them to put their phones away more than once why do I have to repeat myself? with a disgusted look. We find a dress we like, and tell her if she can give us the style number so we can see it in another color online (and also because we did not want to do any business with her) She says sure gives us the style number and when we look it up it is a completely different dress! Luckily, we found it on our own. She was rude, seemed to be annoyed by us since we walked through those doors, and made us feel unwanted.

The staff at Amelia’s was great! They were so helpful and were always available to answer all of my questions. When I couldn’t find my dress in their store, they ordered a sample of a picture of the dress I fell in love with so I could try it on. I’m so glad I chose Amelia’s to buy my dress! Their alterations were also great, my dress fit perfectly. I would definitely recommend making an appointment here to anyone!

As a bride, I’m a bit disappointed in the turnaround time for bridesmaids dresses at Amelia’s. I’m aware that it could take about 3 – 4 months for dresses to come in, but we are now in the 5^th month and one of my bridesmaids have yet to receive their dress and my wedding is next week. I am told this is the company’s (Bill Levkoff) fault, and i would recommend anyone purchasing from Bill Levkoff to proceed with caution. I hope that as a sign of good customer service, Amelia’s will give some sort of discount to my bridesmaid. Hopefully, Bill Levkoff Co. gets their act together as well as their service.

Poor customer service! We ordered bridesmaids dresses from them in January/​February for a July wedding. Dresses took almost 6 months to arrive, one dress is still not delivered 10 days before wedding. They are rude and act like they’re doing you a favor ordering the dress for you. They also have a ridiculous cash only policy that they do not make clear when picking up your gowns after the 6 month wait. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place! I have dealt with several bridal shops that were cheaper and so much more accommodating than Amelia’s. Go to rk bridal in Manhattan– same designers, cheaper prices and your dresses actually come in a timely fashion.

Place sucks! Been waiting for months for a bridesmaid dress got a call 3 weeks before the wedding that the dress company sent the wrong size and have to wait about 2 weeks for the right size to come in. Thou they claim it’s the dress company’s fault they are not being accommodating when I ask if they could waive the alteration fee bc this is becoming a inconvenience once the dress comes in they said no. That they will do same day alterations but it will be so close to the wedding I don’t have time to be going to get a dress altered with my busy schedule. Very annoyed and seriously will never want to get a dress from their again!

When reading the other reviews, I was definitely a bit nervous, but I decided to go in anyways. SO glad I did! Maria was very nice, and incredibly patient, as I tried on about 8 different dresses. We were so in sync about what I was look for, there were times I did not even leave the dressing room, to show family, because we both agreed a particular dress didn’t work. Ultimately I ended up buying the dress there, and I hope my alteration experience is as good, as my shopping experience.
BY the way, my appointment was way over an hour, between trying on dresses, veils and even belts, and I never felt rushed.
My mom looked for dresses for herself too, and Maria completely made time for her.

Last week I went into Amielas for a two hour appointment… which only lasted 30 minutes… One hour for my wedding dress and one hour for my bridesmaids dresses. I had such a horrible experience when making the appointment. It seemed as if I was bothering the lady behind the counter. On the day of my appointment I asked to try on a dress that was hanging on a manikin and was told by Maria that I would have to make a separate appointment to try it on. Then while trying on other dresses I was prohibited to take any photos and Maria told my sister to put her phone away. After that I just wanted to leave… But we wanted to look at bridesmaids dresses so while looking for bridesmaids dresses my mother who has cancer and is not well asked to use the bathroom and Maria said someone was in there… There was no one else in the store. I will never go back there again!

Customer Service is poor — they didn’t mention I would need cash to get my bridesmaid’s dress out. As well they attempted to order a way too big size and I put my foot down, thank goodness as all that was required was a hem. I always support local businesses — and I hope they read this message. You will get more customers being up front and honest about how business is done. Take the old school Yonkers/​Bronx hustle your customers mentality out of your business.

Horrible customer service! Do NOT go here! They are sweet as pie but once you put your deposit down they have you by the balls. I have never experienced such inflexible individuals! As a mother of the bride I was so upset that this bridal shop put unnecessary anxiety and pressure on my daughter. It was unnecessary & highly uncalled for. Plus the bridesmaid dresses were all 2 sizes too big so they deliberately order larger sizes to charge for alterations. Please go anywhere else but here. Your wedding should be a happy time & not filled with pettiness from a bridal shop. I can only hope that karma gets them because there’s not one ounce of good here — worse than car salesmen! UPDATED– how incredibly sad that their response is so inappropriate. Never addressed the fact that my daughter gained 12 pounds from her measurements to fitting & her dress needed so much taken in that even the seamstress was overwhelmed by all the fabric that had to be removed so yes they do order much larger sizes than you need. They wanted to order my dress in a certain size & then said couldn’t get it the designer only had it in a size 2 sizes smaller so they told me to come by & try a dress 2 sizes smaller by the designer. When it fit perfectly they were like oh wow you lost a lot of weight and actually I had put on about 5 pounds — it’s simply laughable how they just don’t get it and honestly how they just don’t care.

Terrible customer service. Didn’t assist me in trying on dresses– instead just answered the phone and sat there. Walked out very disappointed. Waste of time.

Very poor customer service. This is my first time writing a review because of how bad the service is. They size you completely wrong. Very disappointed with this business.

Maria was awesome! She listened to what I wanted and found me the perfect dress. When I left the store she said she’d call me by the end of the day to confirm she could get the dress in time for my wedding (it’s the end of May and my wedding is in November). She called me, as she said she would, and now I’m waiting for my gorgeous dress! It was a great experience. The store is so nice and they have a very large selection! I would definitely recommend this store to a friend!
