We were road tripping around Hampshire County WV researching our family history and reserved lodging here for a few nights this past October. What wonderful hosts and what a beautiful and comfortable house! You are welcomed immediately upon arrival(in person and on the front chalkboard — nice touch!). The house is warm with that old charm that only a farmhouse can give. If it’s cold out they have a few wood burning stoves running to warm you up along with all the comforts of home(wifi/TV/coffee/tea). The morning breakfast is tasty with some produce coming from the garden out back. Heartily recommended for any travellers in the area or those looking for a nice weekend getaway.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and absolutely love it. The hosts are super friendly and as helpful as can be. The house is very comfortable with great WiFi service, an outdoor hot-tub, coffee always available, etc. It’s rare to find a B&B that is so kid friendly, and with such flexibility as to when you can have your breakfast, etc. They’ve invested a lot in going very GREEN — solar panels, geo-cooling, etc. Really cool technology here! Highly recommended…

My friend and I live in Northern Virginia and we wanted a quick getaway without having to fly anywhere. We decided to go to West Virginia, because we had heard how beautiful it was. We found this bed and breakfast online. Their website is so detailed and everything it said the b&b would be was true. We chose Room #3 for $ 95 per night. «Originally the family sitting-room, our first-floor guest room is privately located away from first floor common areas. The room has twin beds plus a day bed, and a private bath with a roomy shower. It conveniently opens onto the front porch.» We really did love being able to have enough room for another friend to join us next time and checking our email on the front porch while taking in the scenary. John and Merrie Hammond are the owners. They are two of the nicest, warmest, and friendly people I’ve ever met. :) They made us feel at home and made sure we were comfortable and having a good time. They had great suggestions for nearby towns to visit during the day. Breakfast is amazing! On our first night there, we had blueberry bran muffins, eggs clive, sausages, broiled tomatoes, and fruit salad. I can’t wait to see what is for breakfast tomorrow morning, and am already planning another trip here. In the sunroom, they have complementary beverages(soda, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and beer). It’s a really comfortable room to check email(they have high speed wifi), watch tv or a movie, or just relax. Definitely looking forward to my next visit, and highly recommend you visit this place. It was only 2 hours from the Washington Metro area.
