Specialties

We are a Quilt Sampler Top Ten in America Shop (Spring 2009) and carry a wonderful selection of top quality quilting fabric, patterns, books and supplies. We also offer custom long arm quilting to finish your quilt project or custom quilt making to create one if you are not a quilter yourself!

We are located on a hill overlooking and surrounded by some of Yamhill Valleys top vineyards and farmland… truely a beautiful feast for the eyes in itself!

We specialize in providing excellent, friendly and knowledgable customer service, taking time to help you with your questions or plan your project. We are also known for our very reasonable prices, offering top fabrics at considerably lower prices than you might find at other fabric or quilt shops.

History

Established in 2000.

I have always loved creating things… needle work wise. I have been quilting for over 25 years. After spending 19 years as a 911 dispatcher for the Washington County Communications Agency, which is the second largest public safety answering point in Oregon, I spread my wings & decided to devote my full time at long arm quilting which I had been practicing for two years. Long arm quilters need backing fabric to offer their customers… and quilting fabric for them to start their next project… books, patterns, tools… well, one thing led to another & pretty soon I was a tiny quilt shop!

I became well known for my reasonable prices & friendly service & pretty soon, needed to expand. That was a scary move but summer of 2007 we started construction on what was to become our new shop! We opened the day after Thanksgiving. A year later, we were excited & honored to be selected as a Better Homes & Gardens Quilt Sampler Top Ten in America Shop!

Meet the Business Owner

Bobbie L.

Business Owner

They say everyone will have 3 careers in their life and I’m on my third! I am so lucky to be working at something I love to do.

I «retired» after 19 years in a stressfull but rewarding career as a 911 police dispatcher for the Washington County Consolodated Communications Agency… in short, a large metro 911 center, in the suburbs of Portland.

I have a wonderful and supportive husband and three great children. All my kids (yes, even my macho son!) has quilted. My oldest daughter Amanda, helps out a lot in the shop and quilts a lot of our samples.

We live in the country… in Oregon’s most beautiful area I think… the Yamhill Valley. In my «spare» time, I love to garden and work outside and go camping with my husband and kidlings! We have lots of friendly animals… both my daughters inheriting my love of horses… so we grow horse manure… we get a fine crop every year! We have lots of kitties and a wonderful shop greeter «Gus» as well as some shop kitties!
