YCBC’s Taproom On the Ave

Great place to meet friends, enjoy quality craft beer, and eat a tasty dinner. I appreciate tableware that is substantial and has a good weight and Taproom has just that. Places that use the thin stamped out forks that cut into my fingers when I configure a bite always lose points in my book. Everything about the Taproom is première.

Beer is solid… If this review was just of the beer, I’d go four stars. The service is record breaking slow! After the bartender told me she needed to pour two beers is when the magic happened! On a very slow Saturday afternoon I began writing this review at the bar and watched the bartender pour two flights that took over ten minutes. Next? She blew by me again and poured two beers and a pitcher! And there’s more! She finally took my small flight order and then spent another few minutes turning on the TV for another customer! Finally a nice young man emerged from the back and promptly poured my flight.
The tried the English IPA, Good Monk, Disco All Night! And Wizard. All quality beers with the promised amount of hoppy smoothness. The Wizard, the American IPA, was my least favorite.
If this taproom can match the service with their beer, they’d be all set!

Superb beer, wonderful taproom sitting area (they have couches and comfy arm chairs). This is a great place to sit and get inspired by hoppy goodness. Everyone cracks on Yakima about being «The Palm Springs of Washington», but honestly it’s just a eclectic town with mini jewels hidden and Yakima Craft Brewing Company Taproom is a AMAZING find. Hey have plenty of IPA’s for those who love some bitter inspiration on their tastebuds like myself.

First review? Well then here’s a five star! They have food, plus one! They have more than five craft beers, plus one! They have specials, plus one! They have a tasting tray, plus one! And open until 10 (on weekdays), plus one! Locals can also have their own large mug etched and hung on the wall for display and to use when they return. Only had the 10 craft beers (4 oz each) and their craft root beer which was delicious!!! If you have time and need an extra kick of booze, try this place! Enough seating for you, your girlfriend, your boyfriend, and their friends!
