History

Established in 1975.

Starting out in 1975 The Gazebo was Yakima’s première salon, ahead of its time on all things hair! Doing a number of fashion shows and photo shoots, The Gazebo has evolved with the times, still staying ahead of the trends and educating their team on the newest and latest techniques and styles. Participating in photo shoots and fashion shows, but taking that knowledge and applying it to more practical every day wearable looks.

Meet the Business Owner

Mercy B.

Business Owner

Mercy is the 3rd owner of The Gazebo Salon. After 16 years of doing hair in the Yakima area the opportunity in 2010 came for Mercy to purchase The Gazebo. Since then the salon has done nothing but grow! Where the salon was once run by paper and pen, Mercy has taken the salon into the now, but getting a web site with online booking, a computer POS system and adopting a performance based salon level system that has given her team the ability to earn their own promotions. Mercy constantly recruits beauty industry graduates to come and work along side her and her team to learn how to be the best stylist they can be from the start. Mercy graduated from Professional Beauty School and since then has continued her education in renowned places like The Redken Exchange and UNITE Academy. She is also a graduate of the Summit Salon Business Systems and has taken business courses at the local Community College YVCC. Mercy is most passionate about growing stylist and teaching them to be the best!
