History

Established in 1954.

While traveling for a paint company out of Denver, CO, Richard R. Myers began thinking he’d like to have his own business. When the opportunity for a Benjamin Moore paint dealership in the Yakima area became available, he took it. In 1954 he and his family moved to Yakima and opened Standard Paint along with 2 other partners.

Dick quickly built a reputation for offering exceptional personal service, a knowledgeable staff and a selection of quality products. In 2006 Dick Jr.‘s sons Regan and Craig Myers joined the Standard Paint & Flooring team to become the third generation of Myers, and are currently partners with their Dad. Just recently in 2012 Standard Paint & Flooring opened up their sixth store in Wenatchee, WA and are very proud to become a part of that community.

Today Dick, Regan, Craig and the entire Standard Paint & Flooring family continue to provide the same quality products and excellent customer service.
