AntoLin Cellars

We had the Carmenere while sitting in a couple of comfy chairs in the tasting room. The atmosphere was charming and the passing trains reminded us of the building’s previous use as a train depot. The server was helpful and friendly, and I enjoyed the Cab I bought for later.

Went there on Spring Barrel Tasting week end. What nice owners and staff!!! Very knowlegeable and super welcoming! On the Saturday evening they had music in their barrel room. Sort of hip for old farts like me, But great, laid back atmosphere.
We had a bottle of the Syrah. It was yummy. My cohorts sampled a 2013 Cab from the barrel. This has great promise.
What made this experience so fun for us was that after a day of 7 or 8 tasting rooms — many of them corporate sized facilities with lots of polish, chrome and ferns– AntoLin had the real wine makers present in a warehouse setting that was so relaxed.
They are having fun learning about wine and how to make wine rather than via a well tuned corporate plan. This can be expensive and risky for new wine makers. But is also the entrepreneurial way that is old school and the back bone of the modern wine industry. Give them a try !!

It could have been because it was 95 degrees out when I was tasting here, but the Riesling was outstanding. So good I needed to buy a bottle! Actually, all the wines were good, but the whites were particularly good on this day.
The owner was very helpful regarding wine education and explaining the region. I really recommend tasting Antolin Cellars. The tasting room was shared with Lookout Point Winery, which also had very good wines. Great selection of Malbec and a very good Two Coyote.
