Minimal menu. My husband asked for iced coffee and they don’t offer it. He got a plain croissant and I got a chocolate and both were ok but not fantastic. For what is supposed to be the best bakery in town we were not overly impressed

Stopped in on our morning walk for a hot chocolate and some pastry. We grabbed a cinnamon roll and a maple pastry(can’t remember the exact name, but it was grubbin!). Friendly service, good drinks, and the pastries are sweet(pun intended). If you’re walking around town, definitely give this place a look see(just avoid looking at the pro-Bernie Sanders poster on the front door)

Bread & Roses, what a cute little bakery you are! While vacationing on the Oregon Coast with my parents, we came across Bread & Roses somewhat by accident but talk about a rewarding surprise! Eager to get my morning caffeine fix, I ordered a traditional latte. The coffee was strong but well prepared and certainly hit the spot. We also chose to sample some of their homemade goods, a jam granola bar and one of their cinnamon carrot cake muffins. Not too sweet and not too heavy. Yummy! I later discovered Bread & Roses is a great lunch spot as they are known for their bread loves, and variety of soups and sandwiches, all prepared daily with lots of love. I’d definitely recommend taking your goodies to the outdoor side patio, it’s an absolute delight in the sun accompanied by a nice ocean breeze. Also, if you’re in the mood to wander, just down the street is a gorgeous lookout point of the water. I couldn’t think of a better way to start my morning! Thank you Bread & Roses for making my excursion all the more memorable!

This is an outstanding bakery. Their sourdough loaf is the best I have ever had– and I have sourdough starter from my childhood in the bay area in my fridge, so I know and love sourdoughs. The crust is perfect without being too hard to bite down on. Their hippie bread is pretty good too but cannot compete with the sourdough IMHO. Everything we had here was good– the coffee, the croissants. Did not get a chance to try their soups and sandwiches, but we will return.

I was all set to fall in love with this place. It’s near home. Gets great reviews. I really wanted to like it. And I did — like, but not love it. We were here around noon on a Friday. Nice selection. Place smelled heavenly. Sales clerk was friendly and helpful. The pastries are what left me a bit cold. A Chocolate Croissant and a Fruit Pillow. The croissant was, as noted by another reviewer, a bit short on chocolate. The Pillow was much tastier. Problem is, both were overpriced. Next time I’ll drive a bit further up the coast to Pacific Sourdough in Waldport — where the pastries are really amazing and a much better value.

Buy the best loaves of bread here — sourdough, spelt, hippie bread — delicious! Great selection of yummy pastries too.

We got a bunch of pastries here last year. My wife got more of the savory pastry, which aren’t my favorite, but they were OK if you’re into that sort of thing. This morning we got a huge variety of sweet pastries & they were amazing! They occasionally use some unique spices. The cinnamon roll is a good example. But otherwise I was very satisfied with their pastries. Their prices are slightly higher than I would’ve expected.

Maybe we were there on an off day, because there are plenty of positive ratings for this bakery. Small selection, over-priced, and our service was not as good as expected. We have not gone back. We love supporting small local businesses and have found better local alternatives.

Bread & Roses is simply the best. With no hesitation I will say that this place has the most delicious coffee(the best baristas), and of course, the finest pastries in Yachats. There are lots of good bakeries on the Oregon Coast, but none have the trifecta of perfect coffee, excellent pastries and a cozy atmosphere… except Bread & Roses. The owner is a warm and thoughtful person who takes care of her community and her staff. She and her bakers create gorgeous, delicious pastries, and also makes healthful and delicious soups and sandwiches. The bakery is cozy and peaceful, filled with local art and local characters. Oh, and they also have delicious beer on tap, and kombucha too! Hooray! One bit of advice is to get there early: food this good doesn’t wait around, and you won’t want to miss any of it.

The Shot in Dark was delicious, dark and rich. The Egg Strata was light and flavorful. Very, very friendly staff and customers. I wish this place was in Portland.

Amazing little bakery in Yachats. I came a bit later in the morning, towards lunch time so lots of the goodies were already gone but I managed a strawberry rhubarb turnover along with some chai which hit the spot. Wifi reception here is excellent and the guys who served me were super friendly. You can tell everything here is made with love. If I had stayed in Yachats a bit longer, I’m sure I would have come here every morning.

I think this has been around awhile but i only just went today when the line at the Green Salmon was overwhelming. Tasty pastry. Good coffee. Welcoming. Immediate crush on the sweet hippie counter guy. Nice little spot. Will return next trip to the coast.

What a sweet little place. Tiny, but great pastries and espresso, and the people working there are incredible warm with great service. Even the pouch who greets you in the entry outside is extra sweet. Don’t miss stopping in here, even if its your last stop before you head home.

I loooove quiche and buy it often so was very excited to see it here. Got the goat cheese and prosciutto quiche(with other cheeses and veggies) and it was absolutely amazing! One of the best quiches I’ve had for sure. Eggs were perfectly fluffed and the crust was perfect. And super nice service and ambiance!

I’m so pleased this café and bakery is only a couple minutes walking from our rental. Chocolate croissant was yummy — could have used just a LITTLE more chocolate for my taste — but that’s just nitpicking. My husband loved his berry filled«bubble cake.» I had a bite and it was delicious — so much fruity goodness. The brewed coffee was good, I’ll definitely come back again to try an espresso based drink. I wouldn’t say it’s pricey because you’re paying a little more than you would a Starbucks for pastries that are homemade and didn’t arrive frozen on a truck.

I don’t review every place I go to, mediocrity is just that mediocrity, and most people can tolerate that. No, I save my reviews for the truly spectacular or the frightening disasters with which I plaster the warnings of your impending disappointment. This however is an observation of the former. Bread & Roses Bakery is a gem, one to be savored and celebrated. When the combination of truly artisan culinary mastery and a warm, friendly customer experience are joined in one, great happenings are afoot. Met the talent behind the aprons, Dominic, Derek and Ingred. These are three eclectic, free-range individuals that put their hearts into their work and their heads to their customers all to the warm rhythm of reggae in the background. This place is a must-stop for those wanting to sample truly artisan-crafted sandwiches, pastries and desserts. The only dent in the armor, for the wayward diner is the unexpected prices, which at first glance could spook a patron. But a quick understanding of the organic and free-trade ingredients this place uses, this price is about right. If one was looking for a hand-crafted piece of furniture, you don’t head to Ikea, you go to a craftsman woodworker. If you do, the prices will surprise you, but when you realize that that piece of furniture is one-of-a-kind and uses only the finest wood, the price is just about right. Same here. Go ahead and treat yourself, it will delight your senses.

This little bakery had a good chocolate croissant as well as a croissant with prosciutto and cheese(I can’t remember what kind) but they paired well. Worth a stop, but they don’t open until later than you would expect for a bakery. I went and looked at the spouting horn and stopped back by.

Good espresso. And the pastries and other baked goods are awesome across the board. We have come here multiple times f(we don’t live in Yachats) and are always greeted with tremendous hospitality as if we were locals and friends. Dominic and Derek(sp?) — who have been behind the bar every time we’ve been here — are so friendly and gracious; they make this place feel like home. Thank you for your hospitality, friendliness, and delicious food and beverages. We appreciate it.

This place is amazing! It is just what the doctor ordered. Whether it’s your go to spot for morning coffee and delicious pastries(the goat cheese prosciutto is phenomenal) or your just cruising the coast, Bread and Roses consistently delivers. The reuben is delicious as well and the owner makes some great home made soups that fill the soul with the first bite and the belly with the rest. The ambiance is like walking into a bakery from a simpler time. Everything is out on the counter fresh out the oven and the delicious aromas fill the air. The coffee here is the closest thing I have had to the coffee in Italy in the states. Dominic is on point with his mochas; I want to make a trip up the coast just to have one. They’ve got a strong delicious espresso flavor with a finish of deep subtle chocolate undertones on the finish. This is the perfect spot to stop in and warm up on the wet Oregon coast.
