History

Established in 1980.

At the age of 27 Jack Fry opened RE/​MAX of Reading on June 1, 1980 with three associates and one staff member, Linda Troil. Interest rates soon soared from 10% to 22% slowing the real estate market down to a snail’s pace. Even with uncertain economic conditions we grew. In 1982 Dick Bauman and the «Bauman Brothers» partnered with the company. Dick Bauman and his brothers not only helped us survive but created a stability that helped it flourish.

Today Jack is the sole owner with a management team of Jim Williams, Joe Peterson, Linda Troil, Tavia Ritter and Kate Flowers, as well as a staff of 12 that help our 130+ Realtors who work in Berks, Chester, Lanscater, Schuylkill, Lebanon and Lehigh counties

We have maintained a leading market share in Berks County for over 20 years.

Business Owner

Harry K. Fry (Jack) is an industry veteran and the President/​Owner of RE/​MAX of Reading. His company has over 130 agents, 15 staff and 3 Managers. Fry has received numerous awards which include RE/​MAX International and Regional Broker/​Owner of the Year, Distinguished Service Award, Eagle Award & RE/​MAX Great Office award. He presently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Reading-​Berks Association of Realtors and TReND MLS.

He believes agent productivity relates directly to our success in retention, recruiting & company profitability. We focus on serving our agents & clients, this creates a high level «trust relationship» with our agents. Fry received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Elizabethtown College. While in college, at the age of 20, he received his real estate salespersons license. He worked for his father’s real estate company before opening RE/​MAX of Reading in June of 1980.
