BEWARE — when this company is sloppy about staining your fence, they will kill your grass and not care!

Any time we are hiring someone to do any type of work or upgrade, we research them thoroughly. However, we did not do that with this company because «Angel» (as he was initially referred) the owner came highly recommended by my sister. He had not put up her fence, but had replaced a couple of boards & stained her concrete around her pool area. She was very pleased & spoke highly of him. We thought «great»!! Boy, were we wrong!
Our initial meeting with «Angel» — a/​k/​a Francisco — went well. He was very personable, showed us an array of photos of his work, quoted us a price & told us the fence comes with a 10-​year warranty & it would be completed within 3 weeks. We shook hands, signed the contract & was excited about our new 8′ ft, board-​over-​board, pre-​stained fence that was NOT cheap. We gave him a down payment, using our credit card. Our second mistake!
His crew began sometime around March 3, 2016, 10 am — 5 pm. Everything was looking nice. Being March in Texas, the next week it began to rain excessively & the crew could not finish. Understandable. But when the rain subsided for two weeks, the crew didn’t return. I called the «second in command» Hugo & he said they would be out in a couple of days. They returned more than a couple of days later… but they finished the wood portion of the fence. We contracted to have the front wrought iron. Once they finished the wood & left for the day, we did not see or hear from anyone for 3 weeks! They left our backyard filled with unused wood & cut pieces of wood & trash bags filled with wood scraps on the empty lot behind us. Mind you, we were continuously calling. We were finally told the wrought iron was being measured, cut & painted — that the supplier was the holdup.
Three weeks later, the crew returns to put up the wrought iron portion. Took them 2 days! The crew finished, packed EVERYTHING up and left. NO ONE from the company called or showed to inquire how we liked the fence or «walked» the fence with us to see if there were any defects or repairs needed. My husband and I walked the fence and saw several «split» boards & places that had no stain — from them cutting the boards.
The next day, I see Angel a/​k/​a Francisco has used our credit card to pay himself the balance owed without one phone call to us asking if we still wanted to use the same method of payment. Needless to say, we were LIVID! We called Francisco & expressed our displeasure that he would take it upon himself to secure the balance when NO ONE had done a final walk-​thru with us. He said he thought his assistant had spoken with us… so he made arrangements for his assistant Hugo to come out and walk the fence. Hugo showed days later & did indeed walk the fence & my husband pointed out the defects & Hugo said he would have the crew out to replace boards & stain the areas that needed staining. That was the 3^rd week in April.
To date (5−8−16), no one has showed to make the repairs or stain! My husband spoke with Francisco earlier this week & he said he would have the crew out Sat. (5−7−16). No one showed & we have not received a phone call.
I regret I did not follow my first thought & report the card lost & have a new one issued. I did that afterward, because I wanted him to longer have access to my credit card information.
I strongly suggest you use another fencing company and, even then, vet the company as thoroughly as you can!
We will be reporting Cisco Fences to the BBB!

I read all of the other reviews and understood how Francisco worked before I hired him. I have to agree communication is not very good. However, I hired them based on fences I saw in my neighborhood. The work they did was quality, and they do a lot of extras like trimming out the fence that others charges extra for. I had a 25 foot electric gate installed as well and works perfect. Here is where the 5 stars come in. I hit the gate with my car and knocked it off the track. I called Francisco at 6:30 am on a Tuesday expecting to leave a voice mail and he answered. Hugo, who handles most of his communication, was onsite by 10 am and fixed the gate. I offered to pay them for their time since it was my fault but they said no and that was it. So I say hire them, and expect to text with Hugo for communication, his response time was always great. If you can work like that you will be pleased. Even without the best communication my finished product was perfect and exactly as planned. The follow up was even better. I would hire them again just with expectations of communication by text. That’s best for me and my busy day anyway so Kudos to Hugo and Cisco Fencing. Thanks

Don’t pay this guy unless the job is done. He was suppose to put cover the metal of the fence with wood and I paid in advance. THAT WAS A MISTAKE. NOW HE IS NOT DOING THAT AND NOT ANSWERRING MY PHONE. Other than that, he does okay job. He owes me money but I don’ thave any way to recover it.

We absolutely love our fence! We are always nervous when spending this much money, but after viewing one of their fences we were convinced of the the quality. What we got was superior quality, outstanding workmanship and hardworking, professional workers. Everything was customized to our home. They leveled the fence to accommodate our sloping lot, built the sturdiest gates we have seen, and basically enhanced the beauty of our backyard. Their website made it easy to decide the look we wanted and we were willing to wait until they could schedule us. We had no problems with them showing up and each day they cleaned up after themselves. We payed extra to get the clear cut cedar and we think it was worth every penny. Our neighbors are all admiring our fence and we are so proud of it! We highly recommend Cisco Fencing.

I would recommend this company to anyone who is unconcerned with time commitments or communication.
From a product perspective, these guys are great. Our new fence is one of the nicer fences on the block now. The guys who put up the fence were quick, hard working and very polite. The pricing seemed to be slightly higher in the limited quotes we looked at, but very competitive.
Here’s the problem. The only time commitments they hit were during the sales cycle and to collect the money after the job completed.
We were told during the sales piece that it would be 3 – 4 weeks for them to put up the fence and they would fix our broken fence in Wed of the following week.
They missed two committed dates to fix the fence. The 3 – 4 weeks was then extended to 6 weeks and very little communication during that time. 6 weeks came around and they then said 8 weeks and I had to stay on them to stay to that date.
The staining piece was supposed to be two weeks after the fence went up and took 4.
Overall, very nice and quality product, but desperately in need of an office manager.

Francisco helped us install our fence back in March. He was fairly responsive at the beginning and we liked our new fence. The crew dumped all the dirt in our rock garden that acts like a drain. It created a big flood problem in this rainy spring. My husband spent two weeks every night to clean the dirt out of individual rocks. That’s very annoying but all manageable so far.
Our nightmare started when it’s time to stain our fence. Francisco stopped responding to our phone calls and email messages for the first two months. We thought that since it’s rainy, we would just get hold of him later.
Then when the weather improved, we called again. He came up with a date with us. And I stayed at home together with our neighbor. And they didn’t show up!
And this had happened again and again! Yesterday was the third time he stood us up! When I finally reached him, he said he was out of town. I reached his paint guy Hugo and he said he was going to come at 2pm. They didn’t show up.
This experience is unacceptable to us and they betrayed our trust again and again.

My husband and I were super excited to get our fence from Cisco Fences back in the spring of 2010. They were super helpful, and they were here as promised when it was time to put it up. We had one issue with the fence about a year after it was up. We contacted them, and someone was out to repair the issue in a timely fashion.
However…We have had a different issue with the fence for about a year now. My husband called and was told by the man who answered the phone that he was out in the field and to call back and leave our information and problem in a voice mail. He was never contacted after that. He then emailed Cisco Fences to reiterate our problem, give them our address, and asked for someone to contact him. No one ever contacted him. Life happened and the fence wasn’t at the top of our priority list for a couple of months. My husband called again, a man answered the phone and told him the same thing. He was out in the field. He wanted my husband to call back and leave the information in a voice mail, so my husband complied. Again, after a few days and no return phone call from Cisco Fences, my husband emailed them just like he did before. And, just like the first time, no one responded.
He emailed two more times with no response. All of this transpired within a year. We know they are very busy, so we were trying to be accommodating to their schedule. We also didn’t want to appear as though we were being too demanding. You know, the whole «treat others as you would want to be treated» train of thought.
However, we were talking this weekend and Cisco came up in the conversation. I got upset and decided that I had had enough accommodating Cisco Fences, and that they promised a 10 year warranty and they were going to stand behind it one way or another. So I emailed them through their website, called and left a voice mail (it was a Sunday so I expected it), and then I emailed them from my personal email address. I told the business that we have been trying to contact them for about a year, and that if I didn’t hear from them within a timely manner, I would be contacting the BBB and/​or any television station that would listen to me in order to get some type of help. Shockingly, I received a reply Monday night around 7 PM. I was told that there was no need to threaten them, that they usually read their emails at the end of the day because they are out in the field all day, they had no intention of not standing behind their work, and that someone would be out next Wednesday.
I responded by telling them that we’ve never heard back from anyone after repeatedly calling and emailing for a year, and that it I had to threaten to call the BBB or television stations in order to get someone to contact us. I also told the person that emailed us that I didn’t appreciate them insulting my intelligence concerning their constant «in the field» excuses. Is it possible that they’ve been «in the field» for a year? I think not.
This morning someone named Hugo called to see when he could come out. I don’t hold Hugo responsible for the lack of communication since he’s an employee and not the owner. My problem is with the owner of Cisco Fencing.
Bottom line — Their fences are beautiful. We had two reasons for choosing them to do the work. The fence and the warranty. However, once they have your money, be prepared to hound them to uphold the warranty they promised. I have no doubt that Hugo will show up on Monday. If something comes up and he can’t make the appointment, I will accommodate the issue and make another appointment. If that appointment falls through, I will no longer accept empty promises and I will be contacting the BBB, television stations, and anyone else who will listen to my issues with Cisco Fences. When you pay between 10K to 12K for a fence with a 10 year warranty, I will demand that you uphold the warranty.

Where shall i start hmmm… Simple Question i will ask anyone who is even thinking of using them for their fence «in their wildest of wildest dreams «Question: how long does it take for Cisco Fencing to do repairs after you have given them the money ?? Your choices are
A — 3 Months
B — 6 Months
C — 1 years
D — 2 years
E — use a lifeline and call 4 693 861 651 to know the answer
If you choose any of the above except option E, welcome to my world of frustation with cisco fencing to whom i have written so many mails for repairs and sent then so many VOICE MAILS (THEY HARDLY PICK UP THE PHONE) that i. have lost count of it, yet they have no bussiness and customer ethics to call back.
Please please please do not make the biggest blunder of your life.

This company offers a 10 year warranty in it’s contract. If you need work done after your fence is installed, they want you to display their sign which is not part of their contract. Buyer beware of the bait and switch tactics this company tries to use.

I went ahead with this company as everyone else was fully booked and gave me a 6 week timeline. They did the work but left debris on the side of the house. We then had to meet again to choose the stain and again no-​one showed up. After a two week delay and lots of email and phone calls we finally managed to get the fence stained. If you want the pain then go ahead and use them, but I will NEVER use Cisco fencing again. Not worth the pain and time wasted.

Scheduled an appointment with the for a quote on a fence. No one showed up. No return calls or calls for reschedule. If they can’t show up for a free appt, I wonder what problems I would have had with my fence.

Cisco Fencing just completed my fence and I am very happy with it. They worked closely with me as we were having a pool built at the same time and had to have them reschedule their start date 3 different times.
My 8′ board on board fence with metal poles 6′ off center with 2 premium gates looks great. They used galvanized screws instead of nails for the same price and added 12″ pressure treated kickboards at some points of my fence to allow for my landscape to rest up against 6″ of it.
Their communication wasn’t great, but I was able to get a hold of them by calling and/​or emailing them without issue.

We had Cisco fencing install our 6′ board on board fence last year and were very pleased with how this turned out. We researched fences carefully (there is alot to beware of out there — be careful!) and we wanted a fence that would last. We looked at top companies in our area such as Hancock and Duck, and found that Cisco built their fences with exactly the same type of quality materials /​process, but we saved over $ 1K on the project. They warned us they were scheduling about 4 weeks out (which was the same lead time that the other four companies that we got quotes from had). They also were clear that this was an estimate — of course the time can’t be exact because weather delays have to be factored in. Still, they were pretty close to the 4 weeks that they promised. They cleaned up well and we are very pleased with our beautiful fence. They subcontract the staining to another company, and we did have to call to follow up with them, but as soon as we did they were right out and did a very nice job. We didn’t have communication issues with either company and we can’t speak a word of Spanish. We highly recommend Cisco fences.

Here’s the good thing about Cisco — the team that installed our fence was fast and the work looks great. We chose them do to the work based on what we’d seen around the neighborhood, and our fence looks just as nice.
Here’s the bad stuff. They definitely need an office manager. I signed the estimate and sent the deposit on March 7, and we’re still two weeks out for staining. We should have known the level of customer service we should expect when their rep showed up over an hour late for our estimate appointment without an apology or explanation.
When speaking to the boss today, I understand he is juggling a lot of projects and doesn’t have a lot of time to devote to each customer. If you do move forward with them, just be prepared to do a lot of following up, confirming and sending all requests to him on paper or in an email.
Unfortunately this is problem is not unique to them. Every company I’ve hired to improve or maintain my home has the worst scheduling and communication.

Horrible communication! Once you sign the contract and pay the 10% deposit, you won’t hear from these guys again. Its like pulling teeth to have someone answer your questions. Nice end product but unprofessional and disappointing customer service. Beware of the 4 – 6 week lead time from the date you sign the contract. Hopefully they stand by their 10 year warranty on the fence. Only time will tell… very disappointed and regret doing business with Cisco Fencing. With so many other choices out there, do your research and go with another company who stands by their product and treats customers with honesty and respect.

We replaced our fence and EVERY PERSON affiliated with Cisco Fence was 100% professional and courteous. They answered all of our questions and concerns with no apprehension! I would recommend them to ANYONE for a new fence!!! Hands down THE BEST FENCE COMPANY IN THE AREA!

Beware of Deceptive Business Practices from this company. First we placed a 10%deposit in order to guarantee an installation date; However, the fence was actually installed 15 days after the time. Paid over $ 5400.00 and got a fence with a gate that was cut 4 inches too SHORT. They piled dirt under the fence to make it appear okay. I had them remove the pile of dirt after ruining my grass. Then they NAILED a 6″ board to the bottom of the gate so my dog couldn’t get out. They promised to replace the defective gate; they DID NOT; They also have not stained the fence (included in contract price for $ 371). I reported them to BBB and they replied to me that the BBB CANNOT MAKE them do anything. BEWARE; Dont pay until EVERYTHING is 100%. Do not take take this company at their word. Wait until
every repair and STAIN is completed.

I interviewed 5 contractors including one listed here. I chose Cisco Fences based on competitive pricing and personal recommendations from several of their previous customers. I also personally saw one yard that they had fenced. I was forewarned that communication might be an issue so I was prepared for that; (language, mostly Spanish). They have completed the work as specified in the contract and did so in a reasonably timely fashion. They are very busy so I did wait 3 weeks for them to begin. Fence took about a week to complete. They do a good job & I would use them again. All materials provided were of excellent quality, with very little waste. They did a good job of clean up, and left my yard and pool area in good shape.
Things to be aware of; Make sure the job is properly permitted and ask them to leave you a copy: READ IT! make sure they have a locator perform a search for buried cables and lines. They did whack through my fiber optic cable, though to be fair, the locator missed it. Kudos to Verizon BTW: they got it repaired the next day.
