History

Established in 1953.

Originally called «Three I’s Barber shop» named after Gus, Joe and Mike Iacapelli. In 2009, Dan «DB» Brown came to work with Gus and then eventually bought the business from him.

On Sat., Jan. 23 around noon. I stopped by DB’s Barber Shop on Ford Ave. in Wyandotte, just off of Fort St, for a haircut and bread trim/​line-​up.
I waited just a couple minutes before being seating in Dan’s chair. I told him I wanted a hard part, and he did a great job with my hair (includes a nice straight razor neck-​shave) and also with lining up my beard. It probably took a little less than an hour.
It’s a great little old-​school barber shop with multiple HDTVs on multiple walls (so you’ll always be in view of one of them) along with tons of Detroit sports memorabilia on the walls.
Cash only, Walk-​Ins only. $ 14 for haircut, $ 20 for haircut + beard trim & lineup — such a great price! Will definitely be back!

DB Barber Shop is the spot for a cut and or a beard trim. I usually get a cut from Dan or the other cat in the last chair in back. Both of them have skills for sure. I know the two ladies that cut, have their chairs full so they can cut with the best as well.
They have HDTV’s playing sports at all times along with a bunch of cool Detroit sports memorabilia on the walls. If you’re a magazine person they have a bunch of those too.
After you go to DB’s a few times everybody knows your name and treat you like family.
I am hip to the barber game, and know what to look for in a solid barber. DB’s definitely can hold it down for you with an excellent cut.
100% stop in and get a an excellent cut for a reasonable price.

Took my boyfriend here today for a haircut. He has longer hair and really wanted to keep that look but just get some style to it. He come out looking so HOT! The woman in there did a great job with his hair and his beard. We are new to the neighborhood and will definitely be returning here!

I was visiting from out of town and was overdue for a haircut. Went to a different shop first that called itself a barber shop but was really a generic super cuts so I left. Found this place on Unilocal and it is the real deal. Dan did a great job. Excellent fade /​clipper cut and straight razor shaved my neck. He was friendly and detailed. Check it out.

I got sick of getting hit and miss haircuts from places like great clips and decided to give a local business a chance. Dan and the team welcomed me with open arms. Since I have been going to DB’s they have completely remodeled the shop! They have several large TV’s so you can catch up on whatever sport your into. My haircut is always perfect. This place takes the time to make sure your haircut is just the way you want it. They believe in an old fashion approach to cutting hair that leaves every customer satisfied.
Stop wasting your time and money at the franchise crap. Support local business. For the same price as the franchise, you can get a haircut that you will be happy with.
These guys get it right every time!
The bottom line is DB’s provides a haircut at a fair price, and your supporting a local business. It’s a win win!
