Snowboard and ski rentals. We also have jackets, pants, gloves, helmets, kids skis, googles, sunglasses, everything you need for a great day on the slopes!
Good & quick service. Kind of hidden next to a gas station. Price is $ 7 cheaper than at mt. High but u pay for what you get basically. Of course you can get lucky and get a brand new one(probably not) but you can also get real unlucky and get boots that are tore up with inside seams showing(like one of my friends did). So just make sure it’s in decent shape before you walk out the door. Other than that no problem.

I came here with my friend to get snowboard rentals. They were really friendly, but when I asked how much it was the guy said«$ 23 per piece» I thought that is pretty pricey if I had to get the board, binding and boots for $ 23 each. But it was just a miscommunication it was actually $ 23 for the whole set . Getting to the topic why I actually gave them 3 stars after saying they are friendly. They did not look at my height and compare it to the board at all. I have small feet so they had to give me a kid’s binding. The guy asked the older man if he should move the binding to the bigger board, the guy said«no.» When I saw the board I told my friend I think this board is way to small for me because I been to Mountain High and got a bigger snowboard before. Even my friend’s snowboard was a bit taller than her and we are almost the same height. mine was A LOTSHORTER like? ?? umm really? My fault for not saying anything because I thought they were professional enough or had more knowledge on snowboards than me. When I started snowboarding I had almost no control of the board at all.(I snowboard before fell only twice had complete control of my snowboard easy to maneuver but this time it was the complete opposite) … Not only did I get the wrong snowboard for myself the toe straps came off while I was coming down the mountain with a snowboard that was already hard to control. I couldn’t even break properly because the toe straps came off :/… Sat there for 10min trying to fix the strap that did not lock !!! Gave up and walked down the mountain and had my friend waiting 15−20min for me. Ruined my trip completely !!! Super not efficient. Standing in line for 20min watching«TV» while waiting for them. The old man kept giving us shoes sizes that we didnt ask for because they are worried that they will run out of those sizes and teased us for trying to «wear them out.» The shoes and the bindings we got are semi broken. I wouldn’t have come if Big benny’s didn’t run out of gears and will certainly not come back again.

Best rental place in Wrightwood! We’ve been coming here for years! We go snowboarding every 2 years or so and always make a stop here before heading to Mt. High. Everyone is super nice and efficient to get us in and out in no time. My bf forgot his credit card in one of the pants he rented and they mailed it for us!!! THANKYOUGUYS! $ 23 for board and shoes $ 5 for goggles $ 7 for pants($ 7 for jacket I think)

The sign outside is what brought us in… We felt tricked afterward. The board was horrible and felt like it needed waxed.

First time here and wanted to rent a snowboard and boots that were cheaper than mountain high. You save $ 12 coming here since they offer it at $ 23 versus $ 35 at my. High. Service was quick and friendly, was out of the place in less than 10 minutes even though a big crowd was there before me. Quality of the boots and board were not good, a lot of cracks and dents but had no problems using it down the slopes. I guess that’s all that matters. Overheard from customers that the deals they had here were better than the competitors next to them.

This guys were great and the equipment we got all worked well with great prices. Anyone in the area for mountain high skiing or and snowboarding rental needs should stop here, without a doubt you’ll have a good experience. We will be back soon. Thanks guys.

These sneaky people, they wrote McGRATH’S snowboards $ 15 Sharp skis And of course they made you think the snowboard is $ 15 rental, and NO, the shop name is not«McGRATH snowboard», it is instead McGRATH’S ski rental. I don’t like being lured in here like this at all! Conclusion, not honest people!

I come here to rent boots and a board, and it’s so much cheaper(and faster) than renting at mt high. It’s literally 5 minutes away from the slopes. VERYCONVENIENT.

You get the quality of what you paid for. Cheap. We rented 3 sets of snowboarding equipment. A pair of pants and a jacket. One pair of the snowboarding boots is not maintained, Its peeling and the soles are peeling off. my feet were soaking wet after a couple of hours using it. I dont know why they would still let somebody rent it. Pants and jackets Are not water proof and tore up. The rest of the gear is okay. Make sure you check the bindings are working well, because they were pretty hard to work with when using off and on. And boots are all clean, soles intact and maintained. The service was fast and easy. I should’ve taken my time and replaced the boots, my mistake. Or I could’ve just rented one at the resort for extra $ 10, than dealing soaked feet and inside clothes.

I WILLNOTRENTHEREAGAIN I value my safety more than a couple of bucks. They may have been great years ago, but they’re still renting the same tired equipment today. PROS: friendly, fast, low-cost board/boot rentals and no-hassle reimbursement for REPAIRMADEATTHERESORT(why would I have to know this??!) CONS: FRANKENSTEINEQUIPMENT! — beat up boards & boots(raised from the dead) — unmatching bindings & straps * heel strap as toe strap * TWORIGHTFEET on one board(HAZARDOUS!!!) — cracked toe strap broke after 1st run! — 1 boot missing tensioner on tongue, sole falling off — no contact info on equipment/no copy of rental agreement when u walk out w stuff — no credit card receipt except impression w/full #

The staff are pretty kindly, and a cute dog there. We are beginners for snowboard, I went here for boots rental. However the snowboard I brought on eBay was with small bindings that didn’t fit my boots. Then they installed a fit one for me without extra charge.(of course I had to return the free binding and boots together). But I do appreciate those friendly staff and enjoy the atmosphere of warmth that local store has. I would like to drop by McGrath’s store if I need some gears on my way to MH. Thanks for you guys.

Love this place. The owner is really chill & does a great job to keep the customer happy. He always has what we ask for & his prices are the best in town ! If there is an issue he is prompt about solving it. Me & my buddies won’t rent from anywhere else.!!

$ 15 for a set of skis, boots and poles — great deal! This is for a BEGINNER setup. If you want higher level or performance boots and skis, go somewhere else and pay more money. Equipment is older but prices are low which reflects. Great staff, good prices, and quick pickup /easy dropoffs! Gotta love a local rental shop!

Repeat customer. Skis and boots are a little old and obviously worn, and find myself having to get a boot size bigger than usual for an okay fit but the price($ 15 skis, poles and boots) is great! Location just east of the resorts makes it super convenient to pick up and drop off at. Nice and friendly staff.

Mt High is charging $ 10 extra then here but you have to go in line with people go there. Might take you an hour to finish all the rental. This place is charging $ 25 boots and board rental! It’s a must go place that I would recommended my friends to join me for their first or beginner winter sport place. So they could arrive Mt High and start playing already.

I love McGrath’s. I’ve been coming here since the early 2000’s. I have my own gear, but there is usually at least one person in all of my trips up here that needs rental When they do, I always take them to McGrath’s. The price for a snowboard is about $ 7 cheaper than at Mt. High. That’s almost 25% off. They also rent out skis, jackets, pants, helmets and other things you might want to use on the mountain. A really awesome shop… you can also get used goods from here as well. Customer service is really where these guys stand out. They’re stand up guys who take the time to make sure you’re getting the attention you need. If you’re a beginner, they take the time and make sure you’re getting what you need to start off. If you’re pretty good, they’re knowledgeable enough to talk shop. Really, you can’t go wrong here.

I was really surprised to not have seen this business reviewed yet on Unilocal considering all of the people who pass through to Mountain High and rent from McGraths. I was first recommend to McGrath’s a few years ago when someone in my group needed rentals and another friend recommended this place. Since then i’ve walked in a handful of times and have been meet with exceptional service and very fair prices. When they get busy the employees dont have much time to chat but if they have time they’ll be more than happy to help newbies adjust their board and give tips on board set up and what not. I had a chance to talk to the owner yesterday as my cousins got fitted and he was such a cool guy! We needed some goggles and we learned from him that he started renting them out for $ 5(probably just breaks even when you factor in the cost of lens replacement) because he would get customers from places like Brazil and Mexico and felt bad selling them $ 30 goggles to just use it once. Most recent time i went it was $ 25 for board, boots and bindings and $ 15 for skis and boots. Very good prices and cheaper than Sports Chalet. Another perk is since it’s so close to the mountain you dont have to carry all the gear back giving you more room in the car to relax after a hard day of boarding
