This place is a great experience. I sat at a checker’s table and it was so much fun! plus the décor really gives a nice southern atmosphere. Though the food was ok compared to real Southern Homemade food in the South, but my chicken dumplings weren’t so bad. I like the fried Okra and the biscuits. The cornbread was a bitter, however. Overall, food is ok and environment is a whole experience itself with a nice little country store to shop in!

You can get a good complete meal quickly and inexpensively. It’s a step up from Boston market.

Anytime I go to the outlets I arrive in the morning to beat the rush, but first I start here. The food is good and the prices can’t be beat though the service and cleanliness of utensils are sometimes less than satisfactory. The two most recent times I’ve dined here I’ve had Nancy as my waitress and I can’t say enough great things about her. She is such a friendly and chipper person, very kind and personable! Prior to Nancy I had another waitress on multiple occasions. She always started out upbeat but didn’t seem to end on the same high note. She loved to compliment me on my natural hair and she even touched it once. I wasn’t offended in the least as I know she meant well, but I don’t think it’s totally appropriate either — especially when working in the food/service industry. — I don’t recommend the grits or the gravy but the biscuits, hash brown casserole, pancakes, sausage, bacon and apple-butter preserve(on request) are amazing as are the eggs when they’re not cold!

Breakfast is far too greasy and it tastes plain. It’s not worth the price they ask for the food… and you get corporate portions! I’m sorry cracker barrel, I think we need to see other breakfast places.

Just went there the other morning and I’m glad that they added a breakfast option with meat and pancakes– as I am not the biggest fan of their biscuits or grits. Anyways, the service was attentive and got our order right, and she was very pleasant too. The fireplace is a nice touch as well, as long as you can get a seat close enough to feel the heat. Orange juice wasn’t freshly squeezed, but it was still pretty good. Price was pretty fair as well. I will be back again!

Heavens to Mergatroid! ANY place is better than this — including pink-slime McDonalds. Overpriced food that arrives cold and flavorless. My advice is move on down the road.

Sooooo I am a southern girl I convinced my boyfriend to take me to an oldie but goodie and boy were we in for a surprise. I got undercooked grits, overcooked chicken and we paid 1.19 for water. What type of place charges you for water ?! Let’s just say the next time I step foot into a Cracker Barrel it will be when I am in my old home town.

Normally visit this location a few times a year. I love the country store and always walk out with a small bag of candy. The food is decent and is very affordable. Their ice tea is the best around. When you need a southern comfort food fix, this is the place to be!

I literally think the Cracker Barrel is the grossest restaurant. But that has absolutely nothing to do with the review– the one star is because the service was terrible and they were out of a number of entrees and deserts. Not to mention this chain is extremely unfriendly for vegetarians!

It’s a holdover for the elder generation. Knick knacks and bric-à-brac everywhere. Subscribes to the let’s nail crazy shit to the walls restaurant. Food was good. Got the Reuben with steak fries which was nice. Lot of things your grandmother would buy you because she thought it would be cute.

I’d heard so many good things about this chain and maybe my expectations were set too high. Or maybe it was just this location. We went at lunch time so we expected a wait, and the 15 minutes wasn’t bad at all. It started when we were seated. The waitress took another 15 to get to us for drink orders, took another 10 to get us our orders(water & iced tea) then we ordered food and it took almost 20 more minutes. Thankfully there was bread for the table so we were distracted. The food was lack luster at best, coated in gravy even though I’d request it to be light. BUT the biggest issue was paying at the end. You don’t pay your waitress, you pay at the store register. So after my meal taking almost an hour and a half I had to wait 10 minutes to pay for it. While standing in line I saw many of the employees just standing around, with a register un-manned and the woman in front of me having done an extensive amount of shopping in their country store. The set up was just horrible, the experience was one of the worst I’ve had and I will not be returning.

Located next to the country store and outside, some rocking chairs and checker games, we decided hey why not. We walked around the store briefly before we sat down for the meal. Special of the day was meatloaf with a couple sides for just $ 5.99! Had I been a fan of meatloaf, I would have gotten it. I ordered the shrimp platter with steamed broccoli, sweet potato and corn. The boy got the Ruben sandwich with steak fries. Food was mediocre. He enjoyed it. I did as well. Friendly service. Pay at the register kinda place.

Stopped here on the way home from the NHL Winter Classic. It was packed! Our wait wasn’t so bad, it was just that you had to mull around the gift shop or freeze outside. I ended up buying over priced crap due to nostalgia and needing to justify why I was blocking walkways. Seriously does anyone else remember the wax shaped cola bottles with liquid inside of them? I wish I hadn’t had them, my memories were much better than my experience with them this time around. Anywho once we were seated our server was very nice, but on the slow side and I had to constantly ask her to refill my REFILLABLE raspberry lemonade! I need to get my monies worth!!! The food was tasty and the space was fairly clean especially for all the traffic they were getting. I can’t remember the name but we had a side of french toast filled with cheese and fruit on top, I would recommend you try it!

My first time ever at a Cracker Barrel, but rest assured, the next time I’m in Wrentham, I’m going to return. I’m from the South originally, and was So Glad to taste good biscuits and gravy, country ham, and grits, and to have it served by a So Genuinely Friendly waitstaffer. I love that there are no TVs and no alcohol. Just good down home cooking, served by friendly people, in an environment that invites you to unplug, unwind, have some sweet tea, and just be.

Not all its chalked up to be. Breakfast is ok, dinner is worse. Expect it to be crazy busy on the weekends, especially in the am. The lemonade is good and the little shop as you enter is my favorite part of the establishment. They carry some good little Christmas gifts with the feel of a Yankee Candle/Antique Store.

We have never been to a Cracker Barrel and we will definitely return. From the Hostess to the waiter, we had great friendly service. Big but homie atmosphere. Clean and nice décor. They offer a menu in large print and Braille for the visually impaired. As to the food, fantastic and came out quickly. Now if only they will open a location near Sudbury Ma.

We love this place. They have great food at good prices. My husband got the roast beef dinner plate and it was really good. They slow cook it for hours and it tastes like a home cooked meal. I had the ribs and they were very good as well. We love the pure maple syrup and blueberry sauce for pancakes. We also love or waitress Jamie. She is fabulous! We have eaten here twice but plan to become regulars. It’s that good!

I’ve heard good things about Cracker Barrel but wow I didn’t think it’d be this good. You walk in through the country store which is full of fun stuff to look at if you have to wait for a table. We got seated right away! The menu has a lot of great choices. I got the«chicken fried chicken» with mashed potatoes, mac n’ cheese and coleslaw(yup this is a cheat meal kinda place) and it also came with free corn muffins and biscuits. Everything was delicious, I didn’t not like one thing I ordered. The service was impeccable and the prices were crazy cheap — only $ 23 for 2 people at dinner time. This is definitely a quality chain in my eyes, wish there was one a little closer. If you’re looking for homestyle, delicious, stick to your ribs kinda food then look no further.

Country style breakfast. The country store as you walk in is old fashioned in the toy section. They have cookbooks and clothing. Just really country items but some cool gadgets. Some things are pricey. As far as the food its good and its rich. I cant eat there all the time which is why this is my first review. Every now and then i enjoy going. Prices arent too bad. Portions are ok too. The apple butter on bisquits is delightful! I always get the breakfast porkchop which is simple yet tasty. Wait staff were friendly and helpful with menu questions. Clean atmosphere Only pet peeve of mine is the fact that they only have tables. No comfy booths, i dont like how you have no real privacy at tables but eh thats just me. I had a slight mistake in my dish this morning which made me a little annoyed. I asked for hashbrowns and they gave me the hashbrowns casserole which has cheese. Which is why i dont like them, anyway the waitress orders me the correct ones all while my french toast and pork chop are waiting in front of me getting cold. 10 minutes later i ate my hashbrowns. The delay irked me and i wasnt too happy about eating everything seperately. Overall a good breakfast but not anything outstanding.

Date of service: Dec 21, 2014 Meal: Lunch, Eat in All Ratings out of 10: Quality of food: 6 Food to Spend Value: 8 Quality of Service: 6 Overall Rating: 6 If you are in the Southeast, it is hard not to run into a Cracker Barrel. Outside of the Southeast they are a bit harder to come by, but they do seem to pop up in a number of places. Having grown up in the Southeast and Texas, I have family that loves Cracker Barrel, so we decided to hit it up for after church lunch on a Sunday. Cracker Barrel is part old country store, part restaurant, and as a result it has a really cool ambiance. They serve southern style comfort food, including breakfast all day. They have a number of big breakfast combos on their regular menu, but during the Christmas holidays they had a special Holiday Sunrise Sampler that I opted for. It included 2 eggs cooked any way you want, hashbrown casserole, thick cut bacon, sugar cured ham, smoked sausage, grits, fried apples, biscuits and gravy, and as an added bonus a warm cinnamon drop biscuit. The most amazing thing is that all of this was only $ 7.99! The food tasted fine but wasn’t exceptional, and with exception of the fried apples most of the food was a bit lukewarm rather than super hot. It was hearty and quite filling, but it wasn’t mind blowing. The biggest advantage of Cracker Barrel is getting a ton of food for not a ton of money. The service tends to be average but not exceptional. I know I will get full and that the food will be tasty, just not amazing. It is a great spot to take a family, as the variety is great and it won’t burn a large hole in your pocket. I am personally not a huge fan of Cracker Barrel, but if you want decent Southern comfort food for a good price, it isn’t a bad choice.
