Scottie’s prices can’t be beat. Also there are near my place o’workin. Their coffee top-notch and like $ 2 for a large. Oh yes. Also their muffins are cheap and good, Scottie’s, through no fault of your own you lose a star to the teenie-boppers who also love Scotties. I have no love for them, the teenie boppers that is.

I’m probably biased because I have been coming here for years and years, but… I love Scottie’s. I remember for a year or so it ceased to be «Scottie’s» and was taken over by another coffee business(one that I didn’t like as much). Now it’s back to Scottie’s. Thank goodness. I like to get the highlander grogg coffee. It’s almost like butterscotch or butter rum flavor in your coffee. SO good. They have a good selection of house specialty drinks, and they also have a good variety of non-coffee beverages(tea, obviously; smoothies; various bottled sodas and IZZE sodas). I can honestly say that I’ve never gotten any of the pastries or food items here, so I can’t comment on that. All around, this is probably my favorite coffee house to go to if I just want to read, be alone, or chat with a friend in a laid back atmosphere. Oh, they also sell freshly ground coffee by the pound(even Highlander Grogg!)

I had been a fan of Scottie’s when it was right around the corner from my house in Clintonville. But this was my first trip to the new location in Worthington. I couldn’t find any street parking right out front so I parked in the lot at the corner which was fine because it was a nice day. It was dead when I got there. Only me and one staff member but she was friendly and seemed happy to actually see someone! I ordered an iced coffee and I liked that she asked it I wanted her to leave room for cream. So many places just fill it right up and I have to take a huge gulp to make room to add something creamy. It was a reasonable price too — $ 2 something I believe. Personally, I liked the inside décor. It was dark and I can see how it might not be the most upbeat interior, but I like that. Someplace you can just sort of sink into and disappear for an hour or two. But since today was so sunny, I decided to sit outside. I asked the staff member if the wifi would reach out there and she said she didn’t know, but if it didn’t the open Worthington wifi would. It was a nice afternoon sipping iced coffee in the sun. The traffic eventually did pick up and a good crowd developed. Word of warning — there is no lock on the bathroom door. You can see marks where people have slid the trashcan to block the door. So if you go back to the bathrooms and the door is closed, knock first… then slide the trashcan over!

Cozy mid-western environment, so I recommend it highly if that’s what you’re looking for. One of the better shops in Columbus. Lots of music events. Coffee is a hit or miss, as is the wi-fi.

Great atmosphere; Terrible espresso. I’ve only been here once and we had a lot of fun. There was a band that wasn’t so loud you couldn’t talk over it. The crowd was an interesting mix. Everyone else got steamed milk drinks and seemed to enjoy them. I ordered a double espresso and it, unfortunately, was terrible: thin and bitter. If you want a good atmosphere and steamed milk this a good choice. If you want a shot of espresso, this is not your place.

I went here the other day with a few nice ladies! We were planning a birthday party and taking some pictures. This place is unique and their coffee is delicious. Honestly… if I worked closer to here I would definitely go here over starbucks every day. I ordered a hot non fat milky way drink. It was sooo yummy. I can’t wait to go back to this area for my engagement pics… because I will be swinging by here!

I was really looking forward to visiting Scottie’s since so many people pointed it out as a great local coffeehouse. It was a drizzly overcast Thursday afternoon when I finally made it there, ordered a chai tea latte, and tried to decide where to sit. There are only two real«window seats,» so if you are a people watcher, you might have to fight off people or lurk until one of those tables opens up. While there are plenty of tables and couches /chairs, the trick is finding one near an appropriate outlet. Some of the outlets are only two-prong, and some are three, so don’t set up your entire study camp until you have ascertained that your chosen power source correctly matched your equipment. The front few tables have no access to power outlets. The best table sits adjacent to the ordering counter, and comes with its own table lamp. The ambiance ranges depending on where you sit. The very back area is tiled and less friendly feeling than the front and center areas. I like to have a bit more natural light and openness, and there is a bit of «closeness» to the atmosphere despite the good amounts of space between the tables. The chai tea latte wasn’t that great. I do think this would be a great place to play a gig or hear some local musicians. But for my purposes of extended study sessions, I’m not sure I would return.

Wonderful. Great music in the evenings and fantastic service. 3 bucks for a bottomless mug(real mugs too, for the Eco-conscious).

Scottie’s is very nice. The«new owners» are awesome, and it’s a great office-away-from-home for me – when it’s not too busy, I can pick a quiet table and work for hours in a nice environment. Definitely my favorite of the Worthington coffeeshops.

Baked goods are what make or break a coffee shop for me. That and how well they tolerate me sitting and painting for hours on end. This place qualifies and has become a lovely little haunt. I appreciate the aura of the place, and love that it lacks that ultra-pseudo-hip feeling that i’m so used to. They’re soy chai sucks, but most places do, so that’s forgivable.

I dig Scottie’s in Worthington a great deal. It’s just the kind of coffee house that I would hang out at on a regular basis… if only I lived on that side of town. They’ve got strong coffee, more than the usual array of drinks and lots of baked goods. The atmosphere is comfy too. Plenty of not-too-close seating and free Wi-Fi are big selling points. The rack of newspapers is larger than normal, which is a bigger deal than you might think. I don’t know how many times I’ve found my self in need of a few minutes of diversionary reading material while sipping a drink. Problem solved here. The house music isn’t too loud so I can listen to my own — perfect. I actually sorta like the art on the walls too. Parking can be a bit of a pain, but otherwise Scottie’s has provided a near-perfect coffee shop experience.

Now called«Scottie’s Coffee and Tea House,» I quite like this place. Stopped in twice during the past couple Saturday Farmer’s markets and found the crowd to be less pretentious than the Grandville coffee shops and less lame-ass-college-kid-friendly than some of the places closer to campus. Good selection, free refills, and a pretty damned good Celtic Grog. No annoying house music and a lot less of the whirrling blenders than you hear at other places making foamy/fatty concoctions. Free Wifi, laid back, and not entirely loud. Hopefully with many of the Starbucks in town closing up people will realize the beauty of the local coffee houses once again.

Oh I was so excited about trying out this potentially cool coffee hang out and was sadly disappointed. I couldn’t even drink my latte. I’ve had bad coffee before but not so bad that I literally couldn’t even bring myself to drink more than a sip. Gross. I’d rather suffer a headache from caffeine withdrawal than go there for coffee again. On a plus note, they do have WIFI which of course is nice and if you’re not a coffee drinker then maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to hang out there.

I wish Scottie’s had been around when I was in high school… it’s a great place to hang out with friends and makes High Street just a wee bit more hip. Good coffee, laid back atmosphere… I always swing by when I’m in town.
