Affordable, straightforward and easy. It went a little like this…
Call — quote — confirm — pick-​up — use — drop-​off — done.
After getting an outrageous quote for two speakers and two portable microphones from another local company, I needed above said items without the hefty price tag and runaround and Huguies’ signed, sealed, delivered — well, picked up in this case — and I couldn’t be more pleased.
These guys offer all kinds of A/​V items for rental and for all sizes of events. My event was particularly small but I noticed through perusing the website and actually checking out the signage at their location that they’re familiar with providing services for massive events and concerts as well.
Previously mentioned company quoted me 5X (yes, FIVE TIMES) more than what Hughie’s quoted me! They actually listened to what I needed rather than assumed, and didn’t try to «sell» me extras — including two servicemen to come set up and monitor the equipment through the duration of my two hour event. No thanks, other company.
Depending on your rental, you have the option of picking it up and returning it yourself rather than having it delivered — thus incurring extra costs. And on the weekends, multiple-​day rentals count as one day if you rent on Friday and return on Monday.
Hughie’s is the place I’ll check first for future A/​V needs for sure.
