For the price I expected better quality. I had the pan seared scallops and only one was seared the rest seemed boiled. I had the risotto and it was watery, not creamy. The salad and bread were good. Wish I would have looked at the recent reviews since others seem to have had the same experience.

terrible. took the family out for a post Jonas meal only to get a poor experience at Rock Bass. Service was poor at best. the food was below acceptable. my daughter had the chicken and shrimp cobb salad she said ‘it taste funny’. this coming from her palate was not a good start. my broiled seafood platter was well over cooked. chewy shrimp is never good. my wifes swordfish was again over cooked. my son’s mac and cheese came on a plate that was so HOT it would have been an absolute danger to a young child. when I asked why anyone would serve a plate so hot the response was ‘all our plates are hot’. Not true, my wifes and my plate were cool. Zero common sense. this restaurant group has lost all of my business moving forward. over rated.

Meh — wouldn’t go back. My boyfriend and I went there for a nice dinner. He ordered grouper, risotto, and salad. I ordered scallops, mac and cheese, and carrots with a glass of white wine. The bill came to $ 70 but the food was terribly subpar. The scallops either didn’t have a sear or they were overdone. The risotto was basically just sticky rice — not creamy at all. The grouper was fine but not spectacular. For maybe a bit higher price point, go to Devon in Hershey.

We have been here for Sunday brunch and dinner. We like the outside seating in the summer over looking the river. The brunch is one of my favorites in the area and I always recommend it for friends. The portions are huge for the price and great quality of food. We have always had great service and exceptional food.

Submitting this for a friend… I took my family here for dinner and was highly disappointed. We were a party of 16 with reservations at 4pm for my daughter’s birthday. First off, I want to point out that it was freezing inside the restaurant. I advised my waitress of this and she stated that from it being warmer earlier that day, they turned the heat off and that they wouldn’t turn it back on in case it got busy again. Needless to say it did not get busy or warm up so my entire family ate with their coats on. My bill for 5 people was $ 161.00, I ordered the Chesapeake bay chicken, my husband ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos and my daughter whose birthday it was ordered the burger. My chicken was dry, and so was the Mahi Mahi. Also, my daughter ordered her burger medium and it came out well done. We also ordered an appetizer of hush puppies which were freezing cold. So eating an expensive disappointing meal in the freezing restaurant was not acceptable. The service was great, I think maybe because they knew they had to compensate somehow for the disappointment.

Our office team of 7 decided to go here for lunch. Three of us ordered the clam chowder, along with a sandwich, and we all had the same opinion — too many potatoes. It was more like potato soup than clam chowder and not very good at that. One of our diners ordered the Tuscan Grilled Prime Rib and wasn’t impressed. Also the cucumber side salad that two of our diners ordered was pushed to the side after one bite. My blackened tuna steak sandwich was a hit, prepared medium rare. Also two of our diners were very pleased with their Hoison Glazed Salmon Salads. We were here for a late lunch so it wasn’t crowded. Service was prompt.

The absolute worst way to spend $ 35.00. The Grouper was so rubbery I had to use a knife. No flavor until I slathered it in butter. Side salad lettice was wilted and the shredded cheese was old, adding to that was a half frozen cucumber slice. Baked potato was edible, but it’s a baked potato, impossible to screw that up. This restaurant is definitely going downhill fast!

Me and my boyfriend actually found this place by accident, while on vacation in Hershey, PA. We decided to check it out for dinner, and we were very happy we did! At first we were concerned, because they specialize in seafood and neither me or my boyfriend are big fans of fish. However, they have plenty of other options on the menu. I had the mac & cheese, which had four different kinds of cheeses, ham, chicken, and peas. It was delicious, the sauce was creamy and everything blended together so well. My boyfriend had a turkey burger with avocado, and loved it. The restaurant itself was very nice, not very crowded, even on saturday night. It’s right on the river, and has a lovely view. There was an outdoor section that must be nice during the summer. The inside has a whole nautical theme, which I loved. I would defintly recommend to anyone in the area.

I know coming to a Seafood/Steakhouse and not ordering Seafood or Steak borders on sacrilege, I think we made the right choice, judging by the other reviews on here about some of those options. We saw this place from the car each time we crossed the Susquehanna this weekend, and decided to come for dinner Saturday night. Made a reservation on Open Table for 15 minutes in the future and went straight there. Turns out the reservation wasn’t necessary. This must be a summer place; the big windows probably offer a great view when the sun is still up. We started with the bread basket, which was surprisingly incredible. Warm, buttery bread and hush puppies, with both regular and cinnamon butter. We were set to just have the bread all night. We ordered the Turkey burger from the summer menu, and the mac and cheese. Both were delicious. The turkey burger was juicy and delicious with avocado and pesto mayo. The mac and cheese had chicken and butternut squash in it. We had a nice time, the staff was attentive with water refills, and we left nice and full with my wallet no lighter.

3 of us went here this past Sunday; not very busy and we were able to dine with a great view of the river. The view and the company was the best parts of the experience… The food was very disappointing. The bread and hush puppy basket was almost cold and not freshly made. We asked for additional hush puppies and again, barely warm and chewy… c’mon; how hard is a freshly made hush puppy?! My stuffed flounder was not seasoned with anything – bland. I am guessing that it was frozen – came out watery. The rice pilaf was very dry and again, barely warm. My wife had a steak – very dry. Is all this stuff precooked and reheated??? Again, really disappointing for the price… other places to get a much better meal for the same or less money – expected much better food and won’t be back

My fam took me here for my birthday dinner. We were seated right away and our server was very helpful with the menu and making suggestions. The food was excellent and service even better. Even had a solo performance with an original birthday song from Kathy which included a free birthday cake!!! We all really enjoyed this meal and the service… Will surely come back again.

My husband and I have had a lot of bad dining experiences lately, so when we FINALLY had a good one, I felt compelled to review it. Both of our dinners were excellent ! I had the apricot –glazed salmon, and he had the scallops. Our server, Scott, was efficient and knowledgeable. Everyone seemed pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant!

I’ll first say that the place is lovely nice views over the river. The staff was friendly. The problem was the food. The Manhattan clam chowder was so thick you could stand up your spoon in it. It was salty and spicy so it got sent back. The crab imperial was soupy and salty. The backed potato was pasty from sitting in the warming drawer for too long. The oyster Rockefeller was full of cream and soupy. I want to try this place again but I will be ready to send the food back if it is bad again

I dine here fairly often — it’s close and the views are spectacular. The service is always good. I have to admit that the food does not excite me. I have never had anything that just made me want to rush back and have it again. The hush puppies are good, but I like crusty bread and their’s is soft. Would like to see some more true seafood apps — not just bar food. The oysters are overpriced. Actually, now that I type this I remember the best thing I ever had there was the turkey club. Not a good recommendation for a seafood restaurant.

Came in for a late night dinner. We were seated outdoors immediately. No music playing so it seemed like it seemed dead. Bread and hush puppies were as good as others have said. Wife had jambalaya and it was really good — just spicy enough — but no shrimp. I had shrimp and broccoli alfredo. Very generous portions. Worth a repeat visit.

The actual building is very nice. The patio is great overlooking the River. The faucets in the bathroom are adorable. Unfortunately the food is sub par. Mine had hair in it which may have tainted my experience but overall I will not be coming back.

AWFUL! Let me start by saying that the atmosphere was wonderful(window view of the river, and the staff was courteous). However, the seafood was not fresh, it was frozen. I ordered the seafood gumbo with two sides. The gumbo had approximately 6 miniature shrimp(salad toppers), with no other seafood included in the meal. It was supposed to have shrimp, cod, crawfish, etc. The hush puppies were dry and tasteless. The cornbread tasted like a mixture of Bisquick and cornmeal that left a very bad aftertaste in your mouth. The vegetable medley was overcooked to the point of being inedible. I mentioned this to our friendly waitress who was unsure of what to do, and did nothing. Prior to paying, I asked the waitress if I could speak with the manager. The waitress then came back with my dinner charged in full with no manager. I was told the manager was talking with someone else, but«she» would be over. After waiting several minutes, a manager finally did come to my table, but«he» was the manager from the restaurant next door! He proceeded to tell me that the manager had left but he could help me out. He did credit my gumbo and apologized. THEBOTTOMLINE: THEFOODWASSOBAD, I WILLNEVERGOBACK! Poor management and poorly trained help.

We can always count on a good service and a great meal when we eat here. All three diners in our party started out with a salad which was fresh and topped well. Two of the three diners had ribeye steaks with different sides — both were satisfied with how it was cooked and liked their sides. The third diner had chicken parmesan which was also really good and more than enough for leftovers. Our waitress was good. We had a reservation for 1PM on Sat May 9th and we noticed at least 5 tables that had not been cleared of cleaned once the parties left for the entire time we were there, including a large 10-person table.

Poor experience because we walked in and were seated at a nice very large table with a water view of the bridge into Harrisburg. That was good and the place looked like a generally higher end place. Where it went wrong was that it was just about 50 minutes after the brunch was over and there were only 2 tables occupied and 3 people at the bar. The issue was that we sat there waiting for someone to come by and we sat as person after person walked by slowly doing nothing. After 10 minutes we decided it was time to leave. This was difficult for me as I was starving, too. As we left, my girlfriend let them know in no uncertain terms that the place«sucked.»

I am not quite sure how to rate this restaurant. I heard a lot of good things so I finally went, but I wasn’t too overly impressed. I think the biggest plus for me was the layout of the place. I liked the booths and the view, and my absolute favorite thing was the sink in the bathroom(hey, it counts as part of the experience). When it comes to the food however, I wasn’t overly impressed. And let’s face it, when you go out to eat that is the main thing. Your service could be lousy, the place could be a dump, but if the food is good there’s reason to dine. I want to give this place a better review, but right now I can’t. It’ll have to accept this for now until I can give it another try.
