Worcester Academy is a private, independent, co-ed day and boarding school for grades 6 to 12 and postgraduates in Worcester, Massachusetts. Our historic urban setting, diverse community, and challenging curriculum provide students with a solid, real-world education.
History
Established in 1834.
Since 1834, Worcester Academy has been creating life-changing experiences for students, faculty, families, and the community. Students are engaged, empowered, and equipped to truly «achieve the honorable,» now and throughout their lives. In an authentic, unpretentious culture, Worcester Academy thoughtfully blends challenge and care — meeting students where they are in life, helping them to understand both who they are and what they have to contribute. Our greatest accomplishment is that our graduates are better prepared for college, and for life, because of the real world experiences they’ve had with us.
Worcester Academy celebrates more than 175 years of achievements by our students, faculty, alumni, trustees, and heads of school. And while many famous alumni have passed through Worcester Academy’s doors, it is our school motto, «Achieve the Honorable,» that has remained the inspiration for our students and alumni.
