This place is AMAZING! Worth a look if you love plants, vintage stuff, terrariums & other awesome nicknacks. Staff and owner are super friendly and helpful. I will say this place is on the pricer side but it’s a really cool place to visit with friends & peruse. :)

This is one of my new fav places to go! I randomly went after work to see what the rave was about, and was not disappointed. There’s so much to look at and so many options. Hoping to be back soon for another cactus.

Seed to Stem is one of my favorite shops in Worcester! I usually go in with the intention of buying gifts for other people and end up leaving with something for myself. They have tons of succulents and air plants in all shapes and sizes. The staff are very knowledgeable about the care of each type of plant. Aside from plants, they have a variety of books, candles, taxidermy, and other curiosities. I would buy everything in the store if I could.

This place is adorable! I stumbled across these guys this past summer while attending the Brimfield antique show and have been following them on Instagram ever since. This weekend we were inspired to do a little lunch and road trip out to the Worcester area just to visit this spot. The store is charming and we left with about $ 40 worth of little plants. If they do well and I manage not to kill them, we’ll certainly be back for more. The shop owner is very knowledgeable and helpful with what plants will work for you and how to take care of them. Certainly worth a stop if you’re in the area.

One of my favorite stores of ALL TIME!!! Very unique and down to earth. Natural history items, house plants, handmade candles, and overall great gifts. Also wicked cool taxidermy, skulls, and other cool nature decorative items. Definitely worth checking out! The people who work here are wicked chill and friendly, and the store pup is also friendly I would give 6 stars if I could! Check their website for hours as they seem to vary

I found Seed to Stem by reading an article in Boston Globe Magazine. They seemed like a perfect fit for my wedding because I was looking for something natural, earthy, and beautiful, without the traditional look of typical wedding bouquets.
Virginia was kind, knowledgeable, and an excellent listener. I felt welcome and appreciated. She gave me plenty of time to share my vision, and asked questions about details I hadn’t thought of. She was respectful of my price range and offered several suggestions for ways to make centerpieces and bouquets special without going over cost. She proposed succulents and greens to add to bouquets. She took time to educate me about options I hadn’t considered.
We communicated mainly by email after our initial meeting, and her responses always arrived in a very timely manner. Delivery was on-​time at both locations.
The bouquets were gorgeous! They were made of fresh wildflowers and greens in the color palette requested. Centerpieces were mason jars with gorgeous wildflowers of varying heights to move the eye throughout each piece. Virginia is a true artist.

If you’re in desperate need of a taxidermic deer bust, air plant, geode or middle school science beaker-​turned-​elegant vase, Seed To Stem is your place.
Beautiful, gothic, mystical and morbid are definitely four words. THE four words.
I love the artistry to this store, and for that, I’ll window shop whenever the wheels take us to Worcester. That said, the design of the elements and procured goods feel more like a passion project than a genuine stab at retail furnishings and accoutrement. A Gorey curiosity carnival over a woodsy florist; the most interesting attic of stuff that’ll end up in your basement.
It’s a tough place to describe, a must to see and even money you’ll walk out empty handed.

Looking for an interesting gift idea? Hold off on the big department stores and come here first! Seed to Stem epitomizes my personality. I always feel at home when I walk through their front door. Their style of home décor is a harmonious balance between the beauty of life and that of death, with delicate feathers, flowers, succulents and air plants nesting within the hollow remains of that which came before, i.e. animal skulls/​bones, shells, geodes, salvaged antiques, and custom made glass terrariums. Practically everything in the place is for sale and their inventory is perpetually in flux (I mean that in the most positive way possible). If you haven’t visited this shop yet — you’re missing out!

Walking into Seed to Stem, I immediately loved what they were doing in this shop. Offering terrariums, airplants, and succulents in a cool gypsy space that even Stevie Nicks would love. With taxidermy lining the walls, skulls scattered around the displays and a wide variety of well curated plantings, the space has a very cool desert garden feel to it. It’s easy to spend a few minutes roaming through this gorgeous space and even easier to find something special and unique to take home.

Fantastic place — one of my favorite stores. Period. The women that run the shop are knowledgeable and friendly. I have so much fun when I go in there. Definitely check it out!

Seed to Stem recently did the flowers for my wedding, after the lovely woman at Sprout was unable to due to illness. I enjoyed all of the unique items in their shop, but I really loved their emphasis on succulents.
For a truly reasonable price, I ordered a bridal bouquet, wreaths and flowers for flower girls, and a few large arrangements, as well as some boutounnieres. All of them were absolutely lovely and arrived on time, and most are still alive over a week later. Additionally, some of the air plants and succulents from my bouquet can be planted/​kept, which will serve a perfect reminder of my wedding day.
The women who run Seed to Stem are so friendly and easy to work with, and I would absolutely recommend them to any flower-​purchaser and especially to brides who are looking for something more visually interesting than white roses on baby’s breath.

Amazing! My favorite store in mass. I want to decorate my entire apartment with their beautiful terrariums, feathers, stones and airplants.

This shoppe is absolutely amazing! A fresh breath of air for Worcester, that is for sure. Walking through the door I felt as if I was transferred into a magical plant filled world. They sell these beautiful terrariums that they create and also many other spectacular items. You have to go and see it for yourself to believe your eyes!
The two beautiful women who run the shoppe were so friendly and patient with all of my questions. I highly recommend this place for someone looking for a unique gift or something to brighten up their house. They certainly have amazing things here!

We live in Georgia now and ordered our Mom a gift from Seed to Stem. We could not be more pleased. They were responsive, very creative and so accommodating. They sent me sample photo’s for me to choose exactly what I wanted. They delivered and since it is so cold out called ahead to make certain she was home. This was all done in less than six hours. Our Mom loved uniqueness and creativity.

This place is amazing. Just their website alone is great but you won’t believe your eyes when you walk through their front door. The shop is gorgeous and they have some of the coolest things to start your own terrarium-​or just buy one of them already made, there are lots to choose from and they do a fantastic job creating them. The woman helping me couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. She found just the perfect thing to put in a small terrarium I brought with me and despite the fact it was closing shortly when I arrived, I never would have known it given the time she spent assisting me. Look at their website and then visit them-​this is a real gem.

I bought two terrariums from these ladies at the stART at the Station Holiday fair this fall, and they were two of the nicest people ever. The quality is wonderful and the customer service is excellent — love their shop!
