Here are just some of the products we carry… Kefir, Imported European cheeses, Nalesniki, Herring (Huge selection), Juices, Tea, Coffee, Bakery needs, European chocolates, Fruit Preserves, Fruit Syrups, Etc…

History

Established in 1986.

In 1984, after doing research– Marian and Danuta Golemo saw a new market emerging. Hundreds of Polish immigrants were coming to America in search of opportunity settling in the Vernon Hill area. The ideal location was up for sale (The old Rialto Theatre building) within walking distance to the Polish community and Our Lady of Czestochowa Church (where most Polish immigrants worshiped) This area was where this would all be born. They opened up a clothing store called «Baltyk» where they would sell new clothing imported from Eastern Europe. Then came Golemo Travel Service, an agency specializing in flights to Eastern Europe and immigration Services. Then in 1986, Golemo’s Market. After an exhaustive search for the right butcher who would bring Golemo’s it’s reputation, they found him — «Joe». He has been working for us ever since. Now even after 24 years he still takes pride in the products that he produces, and we take pride in having him as our butcher.
