We are a full service dog grooming salon located in Worcester, Massachusetts. Big or small, short or tall, we groom them all! We are a cage free facility which allows your pet a chance to socialize and stretch their legs.

Just like humans, dogs feel their best when they look their best! So get your dog an essential spa day and they’ll be sure to thank you in kisses… or maybe taking up a little less room on the couch!

We offer full grooming, baths, collars, clothing and nutritional consultation!

History

Established in 2007.

In it’s sixth year of operation, Furry Essentials has become one of the premier grooming salons in Central Massachusetts. We were even voted best groomer by Worcester Magazine in 2012 and 2013!

The last time I brought my dog for a grooming appt the groomer didn’t realize she was using the wrong attachment on the clippers. This is what she told me when I picked up my dog. My dog was left with three bald patches, one of the patches was at least 4 inches long and 2 inches wide. He wasn’t hurt but he looked ridiculous. She still charged me $ 75.

My dogs love this place! Very accommodating. .one dog has severe allergies and needs extra tlc when she is being groomed. Her needs were met without a problem. The staff works very hard to keep the pups occupied and happy while waiting.

I have two schnauzers and their grooming is pretty specific… and not always easy. I also have been to a lot of different groomers through the 20+ years that I’ve had this breed. I would say Furry Essentials is perfect in the way they treat their clients. They are gentle with the ones that have health issues (my dog had a skin condition and required special shampoo) and try to create a pleasant environment for the dogs they have on property. Michelle spent time with my dogs and asked a lot of questions of me before she even go to the grooming. They took to her right away and I felt comfortable leaving them with her for the day. The rates were reasonable, they were finished on time, and they walked out smelling great with a show-​dog quality haircut. Highly recommend this little gem of a place.

My dog had recently come out of remission from cancer, and was not doing well. We had already had to cancel 2 grooming appointments owing to his poor health, but one particular Saturday he seemed to be feeling better. I called to see if there were any cancellation appointments available.
They remembered his story from my cancellations, and asked me to come in an hour. The groomer sat with him to «get to know» him, reassure me, and made sure we were all comfortable. She explained that they don’t cage the dogs, and really made the time to take good care of my little guy.
It turned out to be his last grooming — he passed away a couple of weeks later, but the care, love, and scheduling flexibility they showed in accommodating him and our situation was so appreciated and showed how committed they are.
I cannot recommend Furry Essentials highly enough.
